This is definitely a must stop before heading down the grapevine! Luckily, it's an easy find off the Castaic exit. So many great options for tacos such as chicharrones, nopales con carne, pastor, carnitas and pollo. I love love love the pastor here! It's tender, perfect flavor but not overpowering, juicy and perfect amount of heat. The nopales are also super yummy! I love that they give you a tiny tostada with refríed beans spread on it as an extra surprise. Roll on through if you get a chance! read more

Made to order deliciousness. The carnitas burritos where probably the best I have ever had. Tender pork with just the right amount of a crisp on it. Inside a soft delicious tortilla and mixed with tasty rice and beans. Add the little bean tostada that is on the plate with radishes and lime, it was a perfect dinner to go. Quite probably the best carne asada soft tacos I've ever had and very, very inexpensive. High quality, great flavor... everything I've had has been really good. Of course it is a food truck and it's on a super busy road with big semis driving by the entire time, and in the summer it is hot and dusty, so eating it there under the tent is not always the greatest option. But quality for price is unbeatable. read more

This is by far my favorite taco place in the vicinity. I know authentic Mexican food given that I've been to Mexico numerous times and grew up near Mexicans such as myself; nonetheless, my tastebuds cannot disappoint. This place always has customers, but they are quick to give you your order. I always get the tacos, which are amazing. My favorite are the Tripitas tacos. I love how they give a tostada with beans when you order an order of four tacos, which tastes very good as well. I definitely recommend this place, as I always stop by when traveling to and from LAX. read more

I have seen these in Castaic and have heard good reviews from friends that eat from trucks lol I hardly do but had to try it since I do crave truck tacos but am a bit picky when it comes to where I go. Tacos Jimenez is one of those little taco trucks that sits on the side of the road. This one is in Castaic at the top of the Grapevine. When traveling to LA we try to stop here as often as we can! I had no idea they had a yelp page until now or I would have review a long time ago! The tacos here a delicious! Generous portions and quality meat! The men that run the truck are very nice and courteous. Quick service since you're on the side of the road... It's right across from the Pilot gas station that has the super loud music. Parked across the street from Pilot gas station, this food truck delivers tasty and inexpensive tacos. Order from the menu posted outside. There are no prices listed. However, tacos are $1.50 each and a burrito is $6.50. Both the pastor and carnitas tacos were full of flavor, with a nice helping of onions and cilantro. On the side are lime and radish slices. Your order comes with a fried corn tortilla with a slathering of refried beans. The burrito was sizable but less interesting and with muddled flavors. I would stick to the tacos. I have been missing out! Always pass by Castaic, but had never stopped at this food truck until last week. Read one of my friend's review on this place and decided to give them a try. Wow, they did not disappoint! I saw that there were actually two food trucks with the Tacos Jimenez name. They were almost directly across from each other on Castaic Rd. I chose the one by the Pilot gas station. They had set up a picnic table with some covering to shield folks from the sun. I chose to eat my tacos inside my vehicle because it was very hot and very dusty from all the trucks passing by. They do make other stuff besides tacos. I saw that they also made tortas, quesadillas, and burritos. I was looking forward to eating their tacos! My choices were the Pastor, Carnitas or was it Buche, and Lengua. I do not know which one I enjoyed more. They were all fantastico!!! Each street sized taco was packed with meat and toppings! Even better, they each tasted número uno in my book! This is a must stop taco truck located in castaic, it even has its own little parking lot. The meats are always well seasoned, I dont normally like Asada meat but it is really good here, my favorite by far is a torta Al Pastor. They put lettuce, avocado, tomato, onions, and salsa. They are tacos and they come off a truck and they are good. The Pastor tacos are pretty solid for tacos off a truck. I got three and they came with a little tostada aka a fried tortilla with some refried beans on it and I think it might have made me a fan. They also came with a roasted green chili pepper, lemon wedge and radishes. A little lemon squeezed all over the plate and it's food time. Tacos were $1.25 each and they had a bunch of sodas and other little snack things. So if you are hungry, find someone that knows where the truck is and go get some tacos. read more

So glad we found this place! The boyfriend and I were staying at the Rodeway Inn and this taco truck was right outside. After being at Six Flags all day and eating their sub-par food, we were hungry and ready for something delicious. Side note: this place is cash only and thankfully we had the exact change for three tacos each. We each got two pastor tacos and 1 carne asada taco. The pastor was delicious, but very greasy. Good flavor, good salsa, good tortilla. Both of us favored the carne asada. It was chopped into tiny pieces, seasoned well, and so flavorful. We loved it so much that the next morning we went back for breakfast! I had to stop myself from ordering tacos to take on the road back to San Diego. Instead, we split a breakfast burrito with carne asada, rice, beans, and egg. Delicious! Also, as an added bonus they give you a little tostada with their refried beans spread on top. We got this with the tacos and the burrito the next morning. This was honestly a highlight and a tasty little bonus. This place gets 10/10 in my book and I was even thinking about those tacos this morning. Whenever we are back in the area, we will be sure to come back! read more

My wife already said it but I'll say it again best taco truck ever!!!! The food is always amazing! we have been coming here for years and stop when ever we take a drive to LA or having a craving for tacos del lengua (hands down best I ever had.) everything is good not just a few things, and the tostada with beans they include with every order is like icing on a very delicious cake if they cake were made out of authentic refried beans. It's worth the drive where ever you are coming from try one of everything you will not be disappointed at the complexity of flavors and authentic taste. read more

4.5 star. Yummy!! Muy delicioso! Savory, juicy meat ( pollo y asada). Requisite onions, cilantro and lime. Salsa wasn't spicy enough, and this is from an Asian gringo who thinks she knows her tacos. Otherwise, A+. The only items I saw on the menu were tacos, but maybe it was covered. Nice touch of a free crispy bean smear tostada esque appetizer. Had homemade corn tortillas from a taco truck on the 5 fwy a few days ago, or would have rated this a 5. Beats any fast food chain hands down though. Looked clean and service was quick. read more

We wolfed down our tacos so fast I forgot to take a pic at all! My dad - a 48 states trucker - swears by them being such awesome tacos that he always gets them when he drops by. It's super convenient that it is located practically the first urban zone as soon as you descend from the mountains on the 5. If you are traveling north, it's just right after six flags. The exit 174 ;) I got the asada, cabeza and the carnitas, and each of them were juicy, deliciously seasoned and embellished with their own salsa. The price is great! 9 tacos for 15$? Yes plz. Also, if you order 2+ tacos they give you a fried taco shell w super smooth frijoles beans. We made all of our orders together and they made sure we have one per person! Super considerate. TLDR: Drop by when driving between Bay Area and LA! read more

Best Taco Truck I've ever been to hands down. I can always count on them to serve up some delicious, hot, fresh tacos, even when I'm heading home late at night from work. The only conceivable criticism I could possibly think of would be that they only accept cash. While that may be mildly inconvenient, it's definitely worth it to stop by someplace on your way to withdraw some cash or get cash back at one of the nearby gas stations. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys tacos. read more

Amazing. Literally the best food you will get on the 5. Maybe the best burrito in LA, and I wasn't even in LA. Had the pastor burrito & added avocado. The spice level was absolute perfection. Also had carne asada, carnitas, and pollo tacos. All really great, but the seasoning on the carne asada was really special. I wish I got a second burrito to eat on the way. The place already had great reviews, so we figured we had to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! The gentleman who took our order was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we walked in. I also appreciated that they offer slightly lower pricing if you pay with cash. We all ended up ordering chilaquiles--one plate with green sauce and the other two with red sauce--and got our eggs over easy. Let me just say: these were hands down some of the best chilaquiles we've had in the area. The flavor, texture, and portion sizes were all top notch. I also loved that they have an open salsa bar along with complimentary chips for every order. Little touches like that really make the experience even better. There's also plenty of seating inside, and they have a restroom located in the back, which is always convenient when dining with kids. The ambiance is very casual and laid back, making it an easy and comfortable brunch spot. We'll absolutely be coming back again soon!

As a Mexican I'm so ashamed of this food truck. Not only have one of the trucks been spotted at a event for trump supporters but their owner is a Mexican themself. This looks incredibly bad on their part. Now, politics aside this is straight up embarrassing. I sure do love tacos but their tacos leaves a bad taste on my pallet, not only is it greasy but the sauces are missing something. Meat is minced beef with seasoning and the beans are refried beans from a can. I'm so sad to even leave this review but I just want to share my experience about this truck.
