Wow. Yummy. Wow. Omg. Passed by this place a thousand times. Finally tried it with the fam. Our service was cool, we had no issues. I see some people have had issues in the past, but maybe they took the complaints on service to heart because the guy was nice. The food was awesome. I had a shrimp mullita. That thing was huge and the shrimp was plump. Family also loved the Carne asada burrito and nachos. I have one in my family that is hard to please foodwise and they were ready to go back for more. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt but this is twice that they've fucked up my order. This time it cost even more $$$. Swear the people here are deaf or have a disorder of some kind. The food is only subpar and I go to it because it's closer than the other 2 taco trucks but after tonight I won't be coming back. I rather go to the truck on Mrytle in Monrovia or better yet, El Taco Taco on Live Oak. Never mess up orders and better pricing with food quality. They know how to make an asada quesadilla but the pastor tacos was not my favorite. Good music and they seemed friendly.

Straight to the point. My girlfriend and I ordered tacos and said yes cilantro and onions on the tacos. Once we got home all my girlfriends tacos were plain and mine had the cilantro and onion but there was barely anything on them. As i was on my second taco i looked at my other tacos and notice that the meat to tortilla ratio was so bad, basically just gave me a pinch of meat that could only fill a quarter of the taco. Tacos La Dona Ive been to both locations since I was a kid. Im 30 now and its always good.I stopped going to the original by Mcdonalds because of all the punk ass brat kids. (LITERALLY 3 YEARS). One of my co worker said there was a La Dona in Monrovia secluded from all the asian brats in rosemead which I really liked to hear ha-ha (seriously you damn brats!).This spot is just as good as the original on Rosemead. Homemade quesadilla de chorizo and taco de pastor. Good food, service was OK. The soda was shaken and when it was opened i was splattered all over- asked for napikins and no aplogy. I can say im not there for their customer service- but the food was good. Of course now i have to sample everything else on the menu. Not flavorful and the meat was dry. I ordered the carne asada and el pastor. Pretty disappointed. I thought I found a hidden treasure after finding my freeway exit was closed at midnight. Price was good; it was $1.25 per taco but I wouldn't stop here next time. I recommend the Pollo taco truck in Pasadena, off of California and Rosemead, they open around 6:30pm (not sure what time they close). read more

Carne asada burrito, was very good. A bit on the small side, but had a nice flavor. I also ordered a couple of Al Pastor tacos to go. I was a little surprised that these tacos are not wrapped in foil, rather just sitting on the plate. Came here because the wife and I didn't wanna drive to King Taco in El Monte. Tacos weren't that good for how much we paid for them. I ordered a quesadilla that had little meat. I order 2 burritos all meat I always order this way they usually go for $7 each today I was charged $9 each. When I asked I think it was a mistake they said all meat burritos are extra I said I know that's why I paid the $7. She said no they are $9 each. I was craving tacos the other night while visiting the folks in Duarte. My pops says La Doña is down the street it's pretty good....pues vamonos! Anyway, after I see the menu offers mulitas (one of my favorites) I change my order. We had to take this to go cause it was motha fuckin' freeeeezing outside, so get back to the house hand out the orders, I sit down to eat open the foil and what do I see? Hot brown lettuce, all the crema stuck to the foil, already I could feel my smile go down to a frown. Well, I need to eat, take a bite and I'm chewing, the asada had good flavor but I'm sensing something just isn't right, ah HA! Kudos on making hand made tortillas n'shit but you need to execute it properly and at least make sure the masa is cooked through. I pinch a piece of tortilla off and rub my fingers together doughy! Ugh no bueno! My dinner ended up me scooping the meat and cheese out and pouring some salsa on and using a fork. Lol La Doña again? The best food truck my far in the San Gabriel Valley. It's normally crowed with people, so be prepared to wait a bit but it's worth it! Trust me!
