I absolutely loved this place. I ate here multiple times over my trip. Not only was it delicious each time, but also consistent. I ordered chips & guacamole & 3 tacos each trip, which was $17.50. My first trip, I ordered 1 chorizo, 1 campechanos & 1 pollo taco. My second trip I ordered 1 chorizo, 1 campechanos & 1 carnitas taco. Overall, the chorizo & campechanos were the ones I enjoyed most. The other 2 were also good, but somewhat dry & not my favorite. They serve each taco with a lime wedge & this delicious salsa verde which helped, but in general I'm not a huge fan of chicken or carnitas tacos but wanted to give them a try. The chorizo & campechanos tacos were so juicy & flavorful. All of the tacos were fresh & I enjoyed them but those 2 I could eat daily. The guacamole was also insanely good. It was super fresh & I love a chunky, flavorful guac & they nailed it. The chips are also freshly made which I appreciate too. Coming from Texas, I'm skeptical towards street tacos but these were authentic & delicious & I will definitely be making a trip to Tacos Lopez for that reason. They give you some cucumber & a grilled onion on the side too. I love their attention to detail & they were also very friendly. Worth a stop for sure!

    Horchatas on weekends

The tacos here are good. It's not as greasy as el bronco. It cost $2.75 each and they have horchatas on the weekends. Sometimes they add cucumbers or radish on the side. They used to add green onions (cebollitas) but not anymore. They were very delicious and fragrant. Skip the burritos. It's bland. They use yellow rice which I like though. I tried their birria tacos with consome and it was ok. Nothing mind blowing. Sometimes there's a line. The longest I waited for 6 tacos was 30 minutes. Service is good. Salsa verde is a must.

    Affordable - hopefully good!

Food truck adventure - after seeing this taco truck parked near by a few times; decided to grab some Tacos! Unassuming; unpretentious; just good old food truck eats. We had a big lunch just 3 hours ago; so grabbing tacos for dinner was a good choice. Tried steak tacos (2x) and carnitas (2x). Asked for gauc, "no gauc"; so got pico de gallo instead. Steak was good (4/5) and Carnitas was OK (3/5). Would try other flavors next time! Green salsa was perfectly spiced. Heat level - medium but for some, might very well be high. LOL 4 Tacos, $8. ($1 tip) not bad. Would do it again!

They are by far the best tacos in the bath beach/bay ridge area. The carne enchilada's are to die for. But the service on delivery on getting my plate order wrong twice... the first time around they didn't give me the carne enchilada but what it looks to be pulled pork.. called back.. no answer .. second time around ordered the same thing 3 carne enchilada tacos and a carne enchilada plate via delivery on the phone.. they gave me quesadillas which also on top of that came in cold.. the tacos were still great as it has always been. TLDR: delivery can be inconsistent, about half the time right. Tacos are always and probably will be the best in the area

My hubby and I have been waiting to try this place for the longest. We ordered last night 5 tacos and 1 burrito, I LOVED the burrito (hubby wasn't a fan) the dough was nice and soft tasted home made, the tacos were also good but nothing to drive you crazy.

Let's taco about how darn good these tacos are! Tacos for me are usually the result of a drunk night out and eating them with my friends at 2am, but I was craving them for dinner so I decided to switch up from my local taco truck and I have no regrets. So delicious. The tacos run for $2.50 a pop, and they have other options too - nachos, quesadillas, but I stuck to the tacos! I tried the steak, chorizo, pastor, and chicken -- don't ask, just get the al pastor! The pineapples cutting through the salty and spiciness of the pork, what a perfect marriage of flavors once you hit it with a squeeze of lime. I'd definitely come again!

Delicious tacos and nachos! The nachos would have to be my favorite thing from this food truck. The tacos were pretty good as well. I ordered the steak and carnitas tacos but I would have to say that the steak tacos was my favorite out of the two tacos I ordered.

Delicious authentic Mexican tacos. I always get either the steak or chicken tacos and it's always on point. The meats have lots of flavor.

The tacos were made unsanitary. The workers don't wear masks or gloves. The insides of the taco were tossed in the container.

The most authentic tacos I've had since leaving San Diego. I should know. Mexico was only a 15 minute drive south across the border.

I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

The empanada was not like the usual closed off empanada, it was like open like a taco but instead of a taco shell, it was like the empanada dough. I didn't try the mulita yet but it was huge. Filling between two tortillas and I saw some guac filling as well. The consome was good! Not too salty - and has general pieces of meat inside the soup. The tacos were good but I felt like it lacked a little depth. I added some of the mango(?) it was a sweetish salsa and that gave it a nice little kick.

I felt dumbfounded! Nenes is something like the in n out of nyc. When my friend and I saw the storefront, the line was out the door. Many years ago back in LA, I had a mediocre cactus dish at a diner and never looked back. My friend went for a cactus mulita and I took a bite that turned into two more big ones. The cactus was crazy delicious with gobs of pull apart cheese, crispy browned edges, thick corn tortilla flavor, and spicy mango salsa, and pickled onion. When you come to nenes, you forget the line and wait. You transfigure into sheep and are happily a part of the herd. However, I felt like the meat was a little dry and could have used a little more flavor, but overall it was solid. I do really like the sauce bar they have! The service is very efficient, and the ambience inside feels very no-frills and authentic. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a good quick value meal.
