Tacos El Bronco, specifically the truck, has long been on my list and I'm so happy to finally cross it off. Even on a frightfully cold evening, there was still a steady flow of customers at the brightly lit truck. I ordered the suadero and the al pastor ($3ea) con todo, which came with cucumber slices, lime wedges, and a roasted scallion. The al pastor was delicious and really hit the spot, though the suadero was shockingly too dry for my taste. I'd love to return if I'm ever in the area to try the rest of the menu. Shoutout to the hardworking staff, who sling amazingly affordable tacos in all weather!

I have to say, you must try the soup here! Super flavorful and rich! If I were to come back, I would get the soup all over again. Beef tongue taco had too much fat than i expected but overall still delicious taco. Price was fair as this is NYC. I love the garlic tho, very interesting . Overall a good experience and the staffs were friendly.

A friend and I were staying in a hotel that was walking distance to where the taco truck was located. We ended up giving it a try and I'm so happy we did !! I ended up getting three al pastor tacos which were a 14/10!! My friend ended up getting one al pastor taco and two shrimp or steak tacos. The food was nice, fresh, hot, and delicious! If you go to Brooklyn definitely stop here ! The service was pretty fast! We paid with cash. The gentlemen were all so nice and friendly !

Legendary taco food truck! Just know that they are CASH ONLY so bring lots of cash because you'll want to order at least three tacos if you're trying to fill up for a meal! They sell these delicious street tacos with choices that are authentic and reminds you of the food you get in Mexico City. (According to my partner). There is always at least one person eating there whenever I walk by, but the wait is quick so don't be intimidated if you do see a crowd. They do have a couple benches near by for you to sit and eat but if not you can always grab your tacos and do a picnic at sunset park nearby.

I think this is overrated. It's good and the soup was the best part. But for the price probably not worth it. Service was good and it's a food truck so you kinda just sit on the nearby bench which is also fine. Typical taco truck tacos cost more than they shoot

Simply the best tacos in Brooklyn. Affordable and delicious and authentic. The Al pastor and carne (steak) were the best, but all the meats are worth trying. The service is pretty quick but expect a long line when the weather is nice.

Tacos were delicious! This is my first time going to this taco truck location. Growing up in Brooklyn, I frequent the Tacos El Bronco restaurant on 4th Avenue quite often to get my taco fix. One weekend night, my husband and I find ourselves in Brooklyn and we decided to do a memory lane food crawl of all my childhood favorite foods. It was a rainy, wet Saturday late night but the truck was still jamming! We got four tacos ($3.00 each) and a small birria soup ($5.00). Lengua, Al Pastor, Bistec, and Chorizo were our choices of meat for the tacos. They were all delicious! My favorite was Al Pastor and hub's favorite was the Lengua. The Al Pastor was perfectly seasoned and the mix of spice and pineapple was darn good. I also loved the grilled green onion that it came with. One thing I would change is that I wished that the tortilla can be a bit heated or grilled - it tasted a little bland. Nonetheless, I am coming back again! The small birria soup came in a coffee paper cup but was really tasty, it had plenty of meat and just a squeeze of lime made it even better! Cash only!

One of the most hyped taco stands in NY (based on what reddit says lol) so I swung by here for a cheap bite! They only serve tacos and they were about $3 each. There was a large crowd when I went but ordering was easy. You take your order with one of the workers' with their ipads and you pay after you receive your food. After that you wait in their seating area until they call your name. The taste of the tacos do not compare to California's but it was alright for what it is. I could not taste the difference between their al pastor and steak lol. Both could use a little more seasoning tbh.

The tacos I ordered had very little meat, and they were carelessly thrown into the container. The order took a while to prepare. Overall, it seems this place is past its prime.

Tacos still worth the cost, al pastor being an all time favorite. Birria isn't bad but not as good as birria landia! Tacos always fresh and filled to top with ingredients. Worth a visit!

Ever since moving to NYC, I've been trying to find a good taco, burrito, etc. I was so excited to try Tacos El Bronco because of their meat offerings of lengua, buche, and tripa. Sadly, they didn't have tripa on the day I went, but they did have lenga and buche available. While the al pastor was tender, and they provided plenty of pineapple, the flavor just wasn't that prominent. Lengua was tender but lacked seasoning. The buche was so soft. It barely required any chewing. While the meats are tender, they lacked a strong flavor. They include a hefty amount of meat for each taco. They provide salsa verde and roja on the side and a grilled onion. Prices are amazing (~$3/taco) for NYC. There are benches in front of the truck, but it seems that most people just grab their tacos to go. I ended up eating my tacos at a park nearby.

This place hits the spot for late night. They were wrapping up at midnight but we got there just in time. We ordered the al pastor (roasted pork), buche (pork stomach), special of Birria (Beef stew) + small soup, Cabeza (veal head), and Lengua (beef Tongue). Each item was $3. I appreciated the heater blasting in the enclosed space. it was much appreciated on a cold night. Service was excellent. you know business is good when they have a person with an Ipad outside helping the non-Spanish speakers order the food. Check out their restaurant on 4324 4th avenue. It was opened up to 1AM and the tables were still full of people. Service was excellent!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

AMBIANCE: Walking to the restaurant from the subway, it's located on an unassuming block at the corner of 4th St and Havemeyer in Williamsburg, front of store doesn't particularly stand out. Walking in they've decorated with creative, crafty (in a good way) touches--the multitude of ropes draped from the ceiling add dimension to the ceiling and the bar back wall is composed of wood pieces forming a multi-colored herringbone pattern. Textured glass pendant lights hanging from the ceiling throw mini geometric patterns across the dark walls, and vibrant canvas artworks add pictorial interest along the walls. FOOD: YUM. I can see why this place was jam packed on a Saturday night, and reservations are needed. Strong recommendation for their tasting menu at $58 pp, what a delightful meal! 8 sharing dishes and 3 desserts were perfect for a party of five, and drinks are separate though you can add a cocktail pairing for $47. For each main they provide a serving per person, and the desserts are shared. I came hungry and was so full by the end of the meal--everything was delicious! - grapefruit guacamole w/house-made chips: the grapefruit chunks were "meaty" and surprisingly went really well with the guac, it added a different citrus element than the usual lime. Comes with a small bowl of maybe 6-7 chips and we asked for two chips refills since the chips to guac and salsa ratio was low. - spicy faroe islands' salmon tartar: tasty and I liked the latin flavors and corn, snow peas, a touch of wasabi. Flavors of the sesame-soy-truffle-lemon vin and crema got a little muddled. Relatively more "generic" dish of the evening though I was here for it! Any dish with fresh tender salmon, I can't complain. - blue crab and carrot tostada, generous shredded crab salad on top of freshly crisp blue corn tortilla. Topped with pumpkin seeds, dill, cilantro, and saffron-orange aioli. - three cheese & artichoke 'queso fundido': served in a very hot ceramic pot and super melty and delicious, eaten with the fluffy grilled pita and green apple slices + salsa. One of the top picks of the evening. - roasted bone marrow and chorizo, served as tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, and added a sprinkle of pickled onions--does that sound amazing? Bc it was AAHMAZING. - spicy chipotle-guajillo shimp 'diablo' (not spicy): served with pumpkin tortillas and three accompaniments on the side--mushroom chile crisp, horseradish crema, celery 'salsa macha". Part 2 to make your own tacos was another hit! Our entire table agreed if they sold the sauce for the shrimp we'd all buy it. - heritage pork osso bucco 'carnitas' with Fall-spiced black mole, sour cherry mostardo, calabrian chile pesto: cue drooling now. This part 3 of the tacos was served on pumpkin tortillas; the meat was practically falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavorful. - buffalo-style com 'elote: sooo good too! A little messier to eat since it comes drizzled with spicy hot sauce butter, feta, lime aioli, cilantro, though totally worth it! - Desserts: --green tea matcha churros: comes with two little pots of spiced mexican chocolate & passion fruit sauce. Warm, sugary and crisp without being too sweet. --pumpkin spiced-vanilla flan: topped with sour cherries, cocoa nibs & toasted seed 'trail mix", if you love flan you'll love this, so smooth and creamy with a bit of crunch and tang from the cherries. --pistachio tres leches cake with cream cheese frosting, raspberry, using an olive oil cake: we all agreed this was probably the best tres leches we've ever had. The pistachio nuttiness and the creaminess from the milks paired well. SERVICE: Very friendly and attentive service though it was very loud in the restaurant and they had to really shout. There was a delay in the middle of our meal I think bc kitchen was slammed, after the entree we waited about 35 min for our desserts. Considering they limited the seating to 2 hours and about half of our party arrived 20 min late, and accounting for the long wait pre-dessert, they did us solid by extending our table time by about an hour in total. Also great that they brought the first dessert out with a candle for my friend's birthday.

I ordered the Shrimp Costeños--chipotle-marinated shrimp with pineapple salsa, sweet potato purée, and tropical pico de gallo. The combination sounded ambitious, but it worked beautifully. The shrimp had a nice smoky kick from the chipotle, the pineapple salsa brought just the right amount of sweetness, and the sweet potato purée tied everything together. It was one of those dishes where every bite tasted a little different in the best possible way. My son ordered the Grilled Pescado, which happened to be Chilean sea bass that day. The fish was perfectly cooked--flaky, buttery, and practically melted with a fork. Paired with the chileatole sauce, esquites, quinoa, and arugula-jicama salad, it was surprisingly sophisticated for someone whose culinary opinions usually revolve around chicken nuggets. My wife went with the 3 Taco Combo, which disappeared so quickly I barely had time to negotiate a bite. Based on the speed at which they vanished, I can only assume they were excellent. We also tried both the red and white sangrias. They were fine--certainly drinkable, but not the star of the show. Think of them as the opening act, while the food was definitely the headliner. Overall, Ruta Oaxaca delivers flavorful, well-executed dishes with vibrant presentations that make the meal feel special without being pretentious. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the plates were so colorful that my phone ate before I did.
