My coworker was raving about this place having the best birria. He had brought in some birria tacos to share. I was a little skeptical but after the first bite, I was wowed. Despite the fact that the taco wasn't fresh, I think it might've been a day old and the shell was a little stale. But the flavor of the birria - wow. It was so flavorful even without adding on any salsa. The consome was loaded with meat but I do think the consome was a bit in the saltier side. With how good the birria was despite not being fresh, I can only imagine how good it would be fresh. read more

I've had my fair share of good Mexican food in NYC, but after moving back here from California, I have to admit that they still reign supreme when it comes to Mexican cuisine. That said, Birria-Landia might be the closest I've had to Cali level quality, at least for what I've tried so far. I spotted the line while walking through Williamsburg and figured it had to be worth it. I felt like it was obligatory to try their birria tacos considering it was my first time, and they totally hit the spot. They were juicy, great flavor, and perfectly crispy around the edges. They had the typical food truck fashion, quick and straightforward. Venue-wise, it's actually nice because they've got some picnic benches nearby, so it's convenient for a quick bite when it's not too busy. One of the best Mexican food trucks I have experienced in NYC. Their birria tacos are delish! Simple menu offering tacos, tostada, mulita, and consommé. From what I have read about the consommé its a must try so one day I'll need to go back. Plus, they are located near a park with benches to sit at and enjoy your feast. Was busy when I dropped by and had to wait in line but it moved quickly. Prices as expected for the area but worth the flavorful tacos. read more

Every time I'm in the area I HAVE to stop by this truck. They have the best birria tacos in the area! They speak Spanish and English which is great, and they're very quick with getting your order out. They're right next to a park so there's plenty of seating around. This last time it was incredibly hot so I didn't get their consome and the tacos are just as juicy without it - do get the consome though bc it is fantastic! Their spicy sauce is also very good and adds the perfect kick to the tacos. P.S. - there's a stand right next to it called "Aguas Frescas Chismosa" that serves great juices so definitely give them a try as well! Their passion fruit was so good! read more

The birria tacos did not disappoint! As an LA native, this place is just as good as my favorite Mexican spots at home. The food is served from a food truck but there are some benches nearby you can sit at. Be warned of the pigeons! They were very aggressive at trying to take food from my friends and I while we sat and ate. read more

I came by here to get some food before I started day drinking and it was so good that I returned back later that same day after partying. The menu is pretty straightforward with about 5 food items including the consome. The tacos are super moist, fresh and even better with mozzarella cheese added. The consome is rich, super hot and would be a great meal with ramen added to it. read more

What an awesome food truck. The ambiance can be quite busy, there is a line in there, i guess because its good. If a food truck doesnt have a line then its dubious. Its food offering are: cheap, delicious, and can be mixed and matched with each other. All the food options in the menu are savory, fresh, and well made. Got the tacos for takeout. They were pretty good but I think a little bit overhyped. There are other trucks cheaper that have a similar quality to this! Would recommend trying when it's warmer outside so you don't have to find a place indoors to eat it. read more

The ONLY reason why i didn't rate 5 star bc i wish it wasn't a truck! Hands down the BEST Birria Tacos! They are a little spicy but as they should be! It's just enough spice leaving you wanting more! They are also perfect size. Not too small or too big- when in Williamsburg, Brooklyn stop at the food truck even if the line looks long. The truck that began the short lived NYC birria craze. Have been going here since they opened under the subway in queens, now they have expanded into BK and the LES. They have a very small food menu - taco, tostada, mulitas and consome. Everything tasted very similar but that's ok. They were all super tasty! Everything had their famous stewed beef which was super tender and savory. After awhile the flavor became one noted so we squeezed lime into the consome and drizzled the red sauce onto the food. read more

I can't believe it took me so long to try Birria Landia!! The food was incredible, especially for the price. I ordered two tacos and a mulita. The beef in both was incredibly flavorful, and dipping the tacos in an order of consome made everything even more tasty. The consome had a rich beef broth flavor -- I definitely recommend ordering a small side of it to try. Good Mexican food can be hard to find in NYC, but this is definitely some of the best I've had since moving here. Be warned that they only serve beef tacos, so if you don't eat red meat this probably isn't the place to come! read more

I randomly stumbled upon Birria Landia on the way back to the car on a Sunday evening. I was told this was a popular place for birria and decided to get ONE to try (biggest regret) since I had plans to grab dinner with a friend later that night. After getting to the car and dinner plans got canceled, I look back in regret of not ordering more birria for dinner. It was my first time trying birria and I've always heard great things about them. Birria Landia was amazing! It's only been a day and I already want to go out of my way to get more. The tortillas were hot and crispy, the beef was tender and juicy, and all the flavors of the onions, cilantro, and lime - perfection! So sad I live so far from all their locations or else I'd be getting birria unhealthily often. If I had one word to describe this place, well, let's be real here. I do not have only one word. This place sells, amazing, mouth watering, flavorful, warm, delicious, birria tacos. I went here with a couple of my friends and it was a little hard to find the truck but we knew we were in the right place when we saw a huge line. I got 3 queso tacos with the consume. It was a windy day and there's a park right across the street so my friends and I ate there. Although it was windy, we stood ground and ate there. We not only ate there, we scarfed our meals down. SO GOOD! After a long day of walking, I just wanted a quick bite and I'm so glad that I stopped by this food truck. I got 4 birria tacos and the consome. It came with 2 limes, pickled onions, and red salsa. The tacos were so flavorful and had a great taco to birria ratio. The consome was also very good. I had to wait 30ish minutes to eat because of traveling, but it was still very warm by the time I got to it! Wait time was around 10 minutes at 11 PM. Would definitely come back again! read more

I've seen a lot of good things about this birria tacos in instagram and finally I had the chance to try. The truck is located right next to a park so you can sit at the park bench to eat. I arrived around 1:30 PM and there were not many people in line. There's a menu displayed on the truck and a QR code also. You order and pay at the lady standing by the truck. The price of the taco is for one so you can order as many as you like. You buy the consommé separately either small or large. I started with 3 tacos and small consommé. I didn't have too long for the tacos. They were sooo delicious. It's in my top three best birria tacos I've ever had. The tortilla was not big, it had some charring, beef was tender, fresh topped with some sauce. Make sure to squirt the lime on top then dip it into the flavorful consommé. Everything was authentic. The pickled onion made this tacos different from the others. If you like spicy food, it has spicy salsa to add. After eating two, I decided to get three more to take home. I calculated on my head that $3.5 x 3 is equal to$10.50. When the lady told me that it would be $11, it made me doubt my math skill. I said I thought it would be $10.50, and she said that $10.50 would be fine. I don't appreciate the automatic rounding to the nearest dollar without the customer consent. I recommend that you calculate the total before paying. read more

The hype is absolutely real on Birria Landia! Nice to see them opening a Williamsburg location after Pete Wells absolutely blew up the original Jackson Heights spot. Seems like every Mexican restaurant under the sun across the US is serving some sort of birria now, but Birria Landia was one of the OG ones here in NYC to do it. The birria tacos here are probably my favorite. Flavorful meat, and that ultra rich consomé is a match made in heaven. I could eat these things every single day! They also take credit card, which is kind of amazing for a food truck. If you have not birria tacos before, do yourself a favor and come to Birria Landia! read more

Best tacos I've had - truly something about the cook, ratio of protein to vegetable to tortilla, and the pickled onions and hot sauce make it such a sensational bite. There were live musicians playing, dim lighting, and a bread oven on full display making bread for all the tables. The food is so delicious. I came from the birria landia in williamsburg on valentine's day and I'm very disappointed in the customer service I went to buy the valentine's day special the 5 tacos with consomé for $20. I was going to buy one and my brother was going to buy one for our mom. The guy up front says it's only one valentines box per 2 people and that wasn't the case for last year when I was able to buy one and so was the other person. I explained to the worker it's not for me. I would like to buy a box and he says that he can't sell it to me because then he would be losing money and he has to count how many tacos he gives out. What im hearing is very absurd especially since I've been buying from birria landia for years. We ended up buying 8 tacos and the 5 tacos that were supposed to come in a valentines box just came in an aluminum container. we asked if he could put it in the valentine's day box the guy said he we had to buy another 5 tacos so it can go into the box and we asked if the other 3 could be in the box he said no. but at the same time wouldn't let us buy another 5 tacos.I think he was just very rude and very confusing. All I wanted was to have my tacos in the valentines taco box and he couldn't fulfill my valentines by doing that. read more

I have been wanting to come to Birria Landon for so long! I love birria and was so excited to try some of the best in New York. The staff was nice, they have a nice system down. The truck is parked near a park, and they bring trash cans, which they place next to some benches, knowing you're going to eat there. My boyfriend and I got the tacos. The birria was nice and juicy. Very flavorful especially with all the toppings and salsa. I particularly liked the crunchy taco shell. It was soaked in the consomé and had a nice amount of crunch. Overall these are very good birria tacos! I wouldn't come all the way out here from Manhattan for them, but I am glad I tried them. Good birria is hard to find, so I do recommend going here once and would come here more if I lived in the area. read more

Flavorful Mexican food from a truck. The menu consists of only four items (tacos, mulitas, tostadas and consume) but what tasty items they are. This was my first time having mulitas and they were great. Wish we had them back home! Tacos are double corn tortillas with plenty of birria along with cilantro, onions and sauce. This place is on a lot of top nyc food lists and for good reason. It's unpretentious and on some food delivery apps so it's easy to order for pickup. From there, you can just skip the line at the front and go straight to the window for pickup. Birria taco ($4.50) - meat was so tender and flavorful. There was a decent amount of meat too so it's a sizable taco. Quesadilla - this is honestly really similar to the taco but a bit bigger. Consome ($5.50) - so much meat at the bottom of this. Very savory and great to dip the taco in, but also great to just eat as a soup too with all the things in it. read more

These are probably some of the best birria tacos I've ever had. It's very juicy and flavorful. I believe they accept card but with a 3.25% surcharge so it's better to pay with cash. The food comes out fairly quickly and there's some benches in the park to eat. I will 10/10 be coming back for more. read more

It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

The empanada was not like the usual closed off empanada, it was like open like a taco but instead of a taco shell, it was like the empanada dough. I didn't try the mulita yet but it was huge. Filling between two tortillas and I saw some guac filling as well. The consome was good! Not too salty - and has general pieces of meat inside the soup. The tacos were good but I felt like it lacked a little depth. I added some of the mango(?) it was a sweetish salsa and that gave it a nice little kick.

I came in late night on a Friday and there was a good amount of people at the restaurant. My friend and I both ordered quesadillas with al pastor and I was surprised at how fast the food came out! I think we waited barely 5min. I had the flour tortilla for my quesadilla. The quesadilla uses one tortilla so it's probably pretty small for the average person. My friend was still hungry after his, but the size was just right for me since I get full easily. I got my quesadilla with everything on it besides pineapple. The onions and veggies tasted fresh and there was a perfect amount of meat and cheese ratio. Will definitely be back.

The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol!
