This place is dangerously delicious! The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get, and honestly, me and my husband go here more than we probably should. Their carne asada tacos, intestina tacos, and barbacoa tacos are all absolutely delicious. The tortas are huge, flavorful, and definitely sharable if you're not a big eater. And don't even get me started on the horchata -- it's to die for. The ambiance is amazing if you choose to dine in -- super welcoming, clean, and comfortable. And the staff? So sweet, kind, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. It really makes the whole experience even better. I also love that they pack their salsas separately, which is such a huge convenience. I would LOVE to know if they sell their salsas by the container because they're that good. If you're looking for an amazing taco spot after a night out, this is the place to go. The only "bad" part? MY first time visiting and I knew as soon as I drove into the parking lot, I picked a awesome spot because the line was out the door and yet it was moving fast as I got in line. The menu is well presented with very clear signs on the wall above the cashier area, the prices are very fair and service was friendly and efficient. One thing that really stood out to be was how much meat each Asada taco I don't think I have ever seen as generous of a serving with the street taco anywhere. The drink I had was the horchata and it was nice and creamy, they do put cinnamon on top before they close the top. Service was pretty quick and the food was a great temperature! When we were in Athens for the day, I picked out Tacos Los Plebes for us to eat lunch at due to the current 5 star rating. We were both very ready for lunch. We easily got a parking space in their own free lot. When we walked in, only 5 tables were occupied, and three groups of customers were in line ahead of us. The employee at the order counter was very quick at taking orders and ringing people up. I ordered the flautas (chicken) and R ordered a carnitas burrito. We both ordered the horchata drink. We were given a number to place on the table to let the employees serving the food know which tables to bring them to. We waiting only about 10 minutes when a smiling employee brought our food, and, boy, were we surprised at the generous portions! I got 6 crispy-on-the-outside-and-tender-on-the-inside chicken flautas. I could tell that they were fresh because the chicken inside the flautas were not crispy or hard. Also inside my basket were sides of refried beans and Mexican rice. Shredded lettuce, avocado and tomato slices and quest completely covered the flautas. Everything in the basket was so delicious, and cranked up the heat by squeezing red hot sauce onto each and every bite of the flautas. R's carnitas burrito was cut in half before it was served, and contained carnitas meat, cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado and sour cream. He also loved every bite of it, especially after adding the spicy green hot sauce. Our horchatas were very nicely done. They had just the right amount of sweetness and the cinnamon sprinkled on top of the drink was a nice touch. While we were eating, the line got much longer, eventually going out the door about 30 feet. That's a lot of people waiting to order! About half of them were take out orders. The employees are so attentive and efficient. The men's restroom needed to be cleaned up, not due to trash, and I let an employee know about it. It was cleaned up by the time R went to the restroom to wash his hands. Every time customers left after eating, employees quickly bussed and cleaned up the tables. I never saw customers wait for a table. Talking about tables, not only are there tables indoor, but there are also picnic tables available outside, out on the grass, both in front and behind the building. This place was packed on MLK day which I knew the food was going to be good for a first timer. I ordered 2 Carne asada, 1 Chicharito, 1 Barboccoa Quesodilla, a side of cebollinas, and 1 Mango agua fresca because they were out of piña. My order came out right but I got 1 carne asada and 2 chicharitos instead. I didn't expect the pork skins to come with verde sauce (i'm assuming) because unfortunately me, I can't eat spicy. Spice levels weren't the spicy tho. Maybe a 3/10. Everything else was great--carne was amazing, quesadilla was to die for, and onions could use a little salt but that was my preference. The Mango drink had a hint of mango so you couldn't really tell besides the color. Overall, 8/10. Servings were good, price was great, would definitely come back again read more

(Posting this twice because I'm not sure which page is correct) BUT this is by far the best place in Athens to get tacos, sopas... anything Mexican you want. I don't eat much Mexican food in GA since I moved from TX because it's 1) usually not authentic 2) usually not good. However, this place is legit... they are the closest thing to authentic tacos, horchata, EVERYTHING that I've had in this state. I got 3 tacos, chicken, chorizo & asada. They were served with double tortillas & topped with cilantro & onion which is the typical street style that I loveeee. They had 2 salsas on the table- an orange one that was super tangy & spicy & seemed to be habanero based, and a green one that was more of a jalapeño based salsa verde. I also got a large cup of horchata, a slice of tres leches from a bakery in Doraville, and finally a side of refried beans. Everything was excellent quality, no suspicious or chewy pieces of meat in any of the tacos, fresh toppings, tortillas, and the beans were hand made/mashed... I know this because there were some whole beans that didn't get mashed & they didn't have that canned taste. The staff was super friendly, the food came out hot & fast, and there was inside & outside seating. PLUS the prices were incredibly reasonable, after tip I spent a little over $20 for all of that food & left extremely satisfied & full. Overall, I loved this place and definitely will make a weekly appearance here. It does get extremely busy but it's worth the wait... I also love how this place hasn't changed to fit the area or to seem trendy. It has an awesome, authentic & family vibe and that also reflects in the food & overall atmosphere. I've visited multiple times, on my own and with co-workers. You won't be disappointed in this place. Real deal, authentic and delicious! My only complaint is concerning a burrito I had one day - it was overly greasy for some reason. Not sure if this is the norm, since I've had coworkers try and love their burrito. Personally, I love the tacos and, so far, have had tripa, chicharron, cabeza, chorizo, and carnitas. Tacos typically comes with cilantro, onions, limes, and radishes. I always add cheese - yum! I've also ordered the chips, salsa and queso (4/5) - it's a simple side dish. I've tried the mango drink (3/5) The service is great - my only complaint is that, sometimes, they will close the doors before the hours listed on yelp/google. Frustrating, especially if you are getting off of work late. Ambiance - there is outdoor seating. If you want authentic and delicious mexican tacos, don't sleep on this place.
