    Botana - must get !!!
    Vanessa G.

I am here to confirm the 5 star rating of this place. The food is absolutely delicious and oh so fresh tasting. Considering how busy they are, they have awesome customer service. We were a party of 20 and our waitress didn't skip a beat! Very clean and inviting restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as you get there, order the Botana. Please note - it feeds about 4-6 people. It's a great way to get your taste buds going! I ordered two fried shrimp tacos - they were a good size and the batter was tasty and perfectly fried! They have a cart with all kinds of fixing so you can prep your tacos as you please. My son ordered 2 octopus tacos and he savored every bite. My husband ordered the seafood soup and he said it hit the spot. You can order any mocktails or cocktails, aguas frescas, soda or beer! My fave was the virgin piña colada I had. I feel they are fair in their prices. Basically, I can't wait to go back and stuff my face again! Must try!!!!!

We go to Lupita's at least once a month. The shrimp flautas are AMAZING. They have this chipotle sauce and pickled red onions that just make all the flavors of the mariscos shine. Their fish tacos and shrimp tacos are also very good. The restaurant is big and open. Very comfortable for big groups. They are also very accommodating because they will split checks for many people. I know how much work that is and they don't even bat an eye. Very gracious.

    Fish tacos!

Let me just say... YUM! They've done some remodeling here, and saw a few American tourists here even though it's off the beaten path, which means they are doing really well! The fish is perfect and crisp, without all the grease. The tacos are stock full of meat, and at $1.25 a pop, you can eat a full meal here for $5. I recommend ordering as you go so you can try different things. Esp LOVED the broth! I HIGHLY recommend ordering it. It's heaven once you add the onions and cilantro. This is a must stop on your way to la Bufadora!

Best Baja fish tacos without a doubt! Perfectly fried with right amount of fish. The toppings and salsa perfect the taco. Cocktail was amazing, so were the tostados. Do yourself a favor and eat here!! And eat the paleta ice cream--muy delicioso! Ever time I'm in Ensenada, Baja area, this is a must stop!

Really reccommend this place for affordable fish tacos, shrimp, service, good ambience easy parking and easy to find. The octupus taco is great as well with pleasant setting.

Great service and great atmosphere! Also kid friendly with high chairs. The menu here has a lot of great fresh seafood options! Will be coming back to try other menu options

Shrimp flautist and a bowl with 1/2 order of ceviche. Delish!

Back in Baja a couple weeks later. Glad to have a chance to try Tacos Lupita again. 1/2 order of ceviche mixto (shrimp, octopus, clams) was giant and plenty for 2 plus some to take home. Delicious! Tons of shrimp. Finely sliced red onion, cucumber, red bell peppers with a pile of tostadas and crackers. Loved, loved, loved the shrimp flautas. Five rolled tacos in and order. Finished that and had a 2nd order! Clean, quiet, pleasant seating area. 2 clean banks and a hand washing sink. Our new favorite place to try everything on the menu.

The BEST fish tacos, hands down! Flaky yet light white fish in a crispy yet thin batter. One word - wow! They don't mess around. When they sell out, they sell out so closing time really varies on how the day's business goes. They have all sorts of toppings like crema Fresca (both reg & spicy), thinly sliced cabbage, Pico de Gallo, cilantro, diced white onions, limes, pickled red onions, jalepenos, etc! Trust me... Get their fish tacos. At $20ish pesos (roughly $1 US dollar), these tacos don't mess around. Fry their consome solo (seafood broth). It's tasty, too!

New addition to the side of the restaurant is beautiful!

The food was fantastic and all the topping options were perfect so you can make yourself your favorite taco! I loved the shrimp tacos the most. Even my 10 year old was as obsessed as I was. 5 stars!

Ceviche de camaron full portion not the half size

I think this place is actually called Mariscos Lupita since this is what all the signs say in the restaurant, but either way it was delicious. I had the ceviche de camaron which is shrimp ceviche and loved it.

Now, a lot of times I'll hear about a place and take note of it and even bookmark it which I did here. Also many times the hunger pangs don't always line up with future plans to visit a place. Maybe you can't wait that long.. In this case, we were heading to La Bufadora and I suggested we stop here. What a pleasant surprise! Some of the freshest seafood is prepared to order here, which does take a little extra time but well worth it. We were blown away by the friendly family atmosphere that had kept us happy as a clam.. We saw them preparing it all which doesn't get any fresher. And they kept coming back and checking on us and asking if we liked everything. Yes we did! Shrimp quesadilla, fish and shrimp tacos, ceviche I mean we tried a good cross section of the menu and it was all awesome! 4 of us ate for around $25, but it had been a year or two. It's a small spot that you can miss if you're not aware, but trust me you wouldn't wanna miss this place!

What makes Eddie's truly special isn't just the food, it's the experience. When you walk in, you don't enter a typical restaurant -- you're ushering yourself directly into Eddie's kitchen, where the magic happens. Eddie is the heart of it all. You'll see him cooking over the stove, taking orders like a seasoned pro, cracking jokes, laughing out loud, and treating every guest like family. There's no separation between chef and customer here -- Eddie brings you right into his world, making each visit feel like you're part of something bigger than a meal. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows in every plate he serves. The food? Absolute perfection every time. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is homemade and crafted with care -- the cocktails are loaded with fresh seafood, the tacos are made with tender, flaky fish that's grilled or fried to golden perfection, and the shrimp is plump, seasoned generously, and cooked just right. Even the tortillas have that warm, handmade texture that store-bought simply can't compete with. The salsas and toppings are vibrant, zesty, and clearly made from scratch -- nothing here tastes mass-produced, and that's exactly why people keep coming back. Service is fast but personal, organized but unfiltered -- it's a controlled chaos that works in the best way possible. Eddie's Seafood isn't just a place to eat... it's a tradition, a vibe, and a damn good meal. Highly recommended. You won't regret stopping by!

If you happen to…read morebe in Ensenada and taking a trip to the south end of the Bahia to visit La Bufadora, the world's second largest blowhole, don't miss the opportunity to visit El Faro Restaurant in the small Poblado of Esteban Cantu located a few miles before you reach Punta Banda. This small and unassuming family-owned eatery has become renowned for its delightfully authentic Mexican cuisine and local seafood dishes. Located next door to Sharkey's Bar & Grill, they are situated facing the Estero on the left side of the road. One of their signature dishes is their fried calamari, which consists of a generous, crispy and tender breaded fillet done 'abalone style' in garlic butter. It is served with fresh veggies from the local farms, rice, baked potato and sour cream, and toasty garlic bread. The price for this sumptuous feast is 150 pesos, which is only about $8.00 U.S. at the current exchange rate of 19 pesos to the dollar. The most amazing feature is that El Faro offers a different 2 for 1 menu item each weekday; and on Fridays, calamari is the designated special. That's right, 2 calamari dinners for only 150 pesos! On one occasion, a buddy of mine and I showed up there with a couple pints of Heineken (no corkage fees at El Faro) and took advantage of this mind-numbing value. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious, and we waddled out the door after paying the 150-peso check and leaving a 25% gratuity. Yep, a total of 200 pesos ...about 12 bucks tip included for a couple of the best calamari I've had in years. If you're in the neighborhood, give 'em a try!
