    a taco truck

We moved here from Austin, TX and miss great tacos. This food truck nailed it with the Pastor, and Carne Asada taco. Their burritos are packed with deliciousness, and are huge, could ask them to cut in half and share. Tacos and burritos came with a spicy green sauce. Will definitely buy again when we're in this side of town. Today they were located off Hwy 150, corner of Straightaway Dr.

Saw this truck on my way into town Saturday noon-ish. Had some business to attend first but figured I could stop on the way home and save time and effort on lunch :-) especially since my lovely bride has a dose of the malingering crud :-( Guy in the truck is friendly enough, seems a decent fellow. Had just enough time to submit a new business to Yelp before my food was ready, then I traded a small stack of cash for two beef tacos and two chicken. Tacos were quite tasty! Nice pile of meats double wrapped in soft warm tortillas + onion and cilantro and sliced radish. Good quality meats have nice texture and flavor, warmly seasoned and firm; tortillas were top shelf as well. Slowly working my way through the menu; it's hard for me to find this family operation, but everyone is happy when I do. Lime wedges and salsa verde on the side to suit any pallette.

I haven't eaten it yet.. But these are my go to people, when it comes to lunch every time that I am in Mooresville! The tacos, the burritos, & now this...

Pastor taco (left), steak tacos (right). The green salsa is very good. Has a good kick to it.

This taco truck is the best, hands down. This beats out Mexican restaurants here in mooresville. They have a variety of meats to choose from and varying from burritos, tacos, and tortas. The pastor is the best in my opinion. It is marinated in a delicious marinade that has so much flavor. The steak is very good as well, but I personally think the pastor is the best. If you have a craving for tacos this is the place to come. My husband and I either take it home or eat it in the parking lot at the Valero where they are parked at. They dont have a seating area, but that doesn't bother me. Its definitely worth a try. You won't regret it.

Very delicious! My first time visiting and I chose 2 Chorizo and 2 Chicken tacos. Very fresh and I loved the salsa they gave me. To most the salsa will be hot, but to me it was perfect, I used to work with a family from Mexico and they would invite me over for fiestas, so my palate has developed to where most Spanish/Latin foods are not spicy to me. Will definitely visit again.

I snuck away and bought 1 and it was sooo good! This had me scraping at the bottom of the little tray with my fingers.... I'm planning to sneak out the house again for another gander.

He let me politely excuse myself back to my hotel across the street to clean up. When i got back, my southwestern egg rolls were waiting under a heat lamp, still crispy and perfect. This was the final nail in the coffin. I'm done. Let's start with the so-called fish tacos. What showed up on my plate looked like it came straight from a frozen food aisle--breaded fish sticks, no seasoning, no freshness, no effort. Just thaw, fry, and hope nobody notices. Spoiler: I noticed. The guacamole? Shelf-stable sadness. It had that lifeless, pre-packaged taste you get from something sealed in plastic and designed to survive a nuclear winter. And those taco shells? Straight from a bag of the cheapest Mission shells money can buy. Honestly, I'd bet nothing on that plate was made fresh--just cans and boxed mixes dressed up as a meal. The only reason this review isn't a total scorched-earth zero is the service--they at least kept my drink filled. But someone should be warning customers not to order that train wreck of a dish. If I served this, I'd be embarrassed. July 2025

While the menu is more selective I found everything to be far better in taste and how it is cooked! Today we shared the Mediterranean appetizer with hummus and tzatziki. Hummus is smooth and have a tahini forward flavor. My spouse and I both liked it. Tzatziki is exceptional. It is one of my favorite sauces in the world and this is great. Pita was a wonderful texture and taste wise. I ordered the chicken plate. It came out sizzling hot like fajitas traditionally do. The chicken was temperature right out of the oven, juicy and an excellent texture. Couscous on the side was beautifully cooked and had a nice touch of spice to it. The other metal bowl on my platter had a greek village style salad with diced cucumbers, diced red onions and cut in half mini tomatoes. Spouse had a Turkish pizza. The seasoning had a nice spice and kick to it. He enjoyed his meal. Spouse ordered 2 beers on draft. One of the beers was one he had before not on draft and was thrilled to try it on draft as he liked it way more. He was happy with their beer on draft selection. When deciding whether to choose the birthday or neapolitan cake we asked the gentleman at the register which he thought was better or more special. He recommended Neapolitan. It was absolutely perfect and delicious! I have never had a cake quite like it. Would totally choose it again! Very happy with the food, quality, temperature, texture and juiciness. All far surpasses it previously. Will return very soon. FYI they can only take cash tips so bring some cash. Ambience was equally fun with music in Spanish and English. It was not too busy or loud. Seating options included being up at the bar, regular tables or booths. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Santiago was my waiter and was as professional as any five star restaurant waiter I've ever been served by. All staff was bilingual and attentive. The food was excellent. It started with salsa and chips. Probably the best I've ever had in any Mexican restaurant which includes Mexico. They had one salsa, but it wasn't too hot or too mild. I think they found the perfect heat to accommodate most. My entrée was the chicken fajita, which was abundant with a quality second to none. Pictured is the chicken taco salad served in a savory edible shell. Everything was fresh as it should be. The price of food was appropriate and definitely not too expensive where you feel like you are getting "taken advantage of." The entrée was chicken fajitas done to specification. Not short on flavor or quantity. Presentation was much better than the usual Mexican flare. Decor was festive and light. They had a little bar in the corner Will decorated with festive lights. Everything was clean in this rustic setting. I had no room for dessert and literally ate. Everything served to me! I will definitely be back!

Dude, this is how a burrito should taste…read more First things first, this is what our order was: - Me, Pastor Burrito - My wife, California Burrito - My son, Chori Pollo Burrito - My daughter, Steak Nachos Holy wow. So first, my burrito... I'm so used to burritos ultimately tasting the same no matter which one I choose, just different meats really. But this one, well, whatever that pork was marinated in just gave the whole burrito a unique flavor and made it taste unlike any burrito I've had before. If I had one complaint about mine? More pineapple. Each bite that I had with pineapple in it was a perfect sweet and savory contrast and I wanted more of that. The California Burrito was enjoyed by my wife and I got to try it as well - completely different flavor from my burrito, which is the way it should be. I'm ashamed to admit that I had yet to have a proper Cali burrito until today and fries belong in a burrito. My son enjoyed the Chori Pollo, though we're discovering more and more that he...just doesn't really like tortillas. That said, he loved the filling. Methinks next time, we go for the Black Bean Bowl, which is essentially the same thing, sans tortilla. Then my daughter... When those Steak Nachos came out, I thought to myself, "There's no way in hell she finishes these..." and this was true, because they were huge and she is small. But just barely true. Only a small amount came home with us and she finished it up as a snack later in the day. When we were eating, she said could almost cry because it was so good. If you look at one of my other reviews, this is apparently my daughter's indicator that something is REALLY GOOD to her. I tasted some too and she's not wrong, these were delicious - the steak, the cheese, the guac, it just all worked in tandem beautifully. I'm guessing this is a family-run business just based on the staff I saw and they just knocked it out of the park with each item we had. Can't wait to try some more the next time we're in Mooresville. Maybe street tacos? Birria tacos? Or even some of those amazing-sounding hot dogs (yes, bacon wrapped hot dogs at a Mexi-Cali joint!)? You want a legit burrito? Come here. No disappointments.
