Decided to give this place a try today. Glad we did. Husband ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo, ham, beans and rice. He said it was excellent. I ordered the 3 taquitos. They were chicken and very good, but maybe next time I'll see if they offer beef. Tasted very fresh and covered with crispy lettuce, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. A large burrito and 3 taquitos for $9!! Very reasonably priced and good food. We'll be back. read more

My tacos and burrito were very authentic and tasted so good. The chile was just spicy enough, and the seasoning was excellent.

I've had this place a couple times now. The carne asada fries are an absolute must. I go with the California burrito but I'll definitely need to try the quesabirria tacos. read more

This place used to be a taco truck down the street. I only found this out cause it only had few reviews on yelp but highly rated, so I had asked if they were new. We were on a trip and passing through when we looked on yelp for good tacos near by. The on my down fall is the flavor is a little bland, but not too much. My family and I just prefer a little more seasoning. Besides that, everything was good. Personally I don't think they have a salsa that goes well with chips (like pico de gallo chunky or blended). But honestly, best salsas I have ever had that blend well together with their dishes. Normally I don't add salsa to my meal, but I felt like it needed a little more flavor and the sauces balanced well. The chicken burrito was perfect and full of flavor. My carnitas was perfectly cooked (though I like mine crunchy and personally don't like the taste of pork). It was tender and no fat or skin. Ordered supreme, but it was on the dry side? We also ordered asada tacos and once again the meat nice and tender, but again, maybe needed very little extra salt to bring out the flavor. I would love to see this place grow and hopefully become more recognized, sadly it isn't in a great area to be seen or frequented. read more

YES YES YES !!! First time here. I ordered a quesadilla with birria - shredded beef ! So juicy and tender. Great flavors in it. The sauce inside , I don't know if it is what the meat is cooked in or if it is added , is really tasty. They have a salsa bar that is serve yourself. The hottest one has very good flavor. It isn't too hot for me, but I like really hot. I will definitely be back to try something else. I want to try a burrito with this birria. Taco Joe's that used to be in Riverbank used beef like this and anyone that I've talked to that knows Taco Joe's remorsefully remembers and misses it so very much. Love this place for a fast bite! We come often, there aren't a lot of places in the area where it's worth it to become a regular but this is one. I usually stick to chicken and carnitas tacos, my brother and husband love the carne asade and their tortas are delicious. The taco shells are always nice and soft and theres a generous portion of meat. I find that the carnitas is often a bit dry but still delicious. Love their selection of food and drinks, we usually grab a sidral or jarritos with our meals. Service is quick even with a line! read more

Went in to order and was told either they no longer offer certain items or they couldn't make it. It was a bit frustrating as the menu is small to begin with. The menu definitely needs to be updated if there are items that are no longer offered. Got to the point were we almost left, but was finally able to pick something that was actually available. Transparency about what is available would make ordering more convenient. read more

Ok, beyond the tacos with which I am obsessed, the asada & the carnitas tacos are pretty stellar too. I need the tacos to be not dry, as in the meat juicy/tender & enough salsa that you need a napkin in hand to keep your paws clean. Romero does not disappoint here either. If you aren't down for authentic Mexican, I'll open myself up to taco truck ridicule by saying I have tried the Hot Cheeto Burrito. Asada, sour cream, nacho cheese & hot cheetos? Does it sound wrong? Yes. Like when your friend marries his 2nd cousin, but...it seems right cause they're such a perfect match you have to love them? Thats the Hot Cheeto burrito- reading so wrong on the menu, but such infatuation for your taste buds. Staff @ the truck have always been friendly and they're very open about wait times (expected at a super popular venue like theirs). This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Galt. Right now they're operating out of their food truck with take out only, due to COVID. Their chicken super tacos are my favorite, and my husband loves the asada tacos. Their rolled tacos are delicious when they have them, which they don't right now in the truck. And their quesadillas are huge, filling, and delicious! Pretty much enough for two meals. We eat here more than anywhere else in Galt, and always call in our order ahead of time. The only downside is them being closed on Monday's. read more

Since 2019 they have been my go to taco and burrito spot in galt. I've tried the Birria tacos ,sopes, Chile rellano ,nachos, flautas, hot Cheetos burrito and a regular with burrito with chicken, Al pastor, Birria, or asada and a horchata to wash the food down. I've never left upset and have always received food with a ton of flavor. The employees are all so friendly as well. I love the environment they have created here. read more

Very dissatisfied. I hate to be the bear of bad news. The meat was ok. The cebeza meat was not authentic cabeza. The tacos were ok. My dad had a small piece of cardboard in his regular burrito. The salsa was the worst salsa I've ever had. The salsa at the salsa bar is not fresh and definitely comes from a can, you can taste the off flavor and smell some funkiness - almost as if it had expired. Don't believe me... Try tasting and smelling each salsa and you'll see what I mean. They were pretty friendly so I had to give them at least one star. I'm happy I tried the place out and now I know to go elsewhere. Definitely disappointed with the tacos. The two most important ingredients that make a taco shine are the meat and the salsa. I personally did not like the meats especially the adobada. Because of COVID19 they served from their food truck out front. Food was flavorful & fresh! Reasonably priced too. I had a chicken taco & asada ( beef ) taco. Both were good but the asada was the best as far a flavor. My hubby had the Super asada burrito. Super means it comes with cheese & sourcream. He was very pleased & satisfied with his choice. He can be picky but he ate the entire thing while driving 40 minutes home. That's saying something. It was just enough food for me & it was way filling for him who is a big eater. Worth a stop in Galt if going that way. read more
