    3 quesabirria

Best quesabirria in San Jose! Their quesabirria is perfectly constructed. Crisp tortillas hold succulent, tender birria with cheese, crisp sweet onions, and cilantro. Their consommé is so flavorful. If you're ordering their reg tacos, you'll get them on handmade soft and pliable tortillas which I love. My favorite protein is the suadero, which isn't always available at other places. It's beef cooked in its own fat, so of course it's good! They have a small trompo for al pastor, which is decent. I enjoyed the fresh diced pineapple on our al pastor tacos but definitely think quesabirria, consommé, and suadero are the stars of the show.

So delicious every single time and this time was no different. There's limited parking and you can either order inside or at the taco truck. There are areas to sit and wait for your order and tables to eat at. I ordered three al pastor tacos. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. So good as always. I literally scarfed my tacos down with salsa and grilled onions. My friend ordered a carne asada burrito which he said was super filling and the perfect amount of food. While I'm in town, I'll be here whenever I crave tacos.

I ordered from the truck, then went into the store to collect my drink, and then came back out to sit in the dining area, where I also collected any sauces I wanted. Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

Their prices for food are very fair and reasonable compared to other places. I ordered the Carne Asada Supreme Burrito and that thing was HUGE. You can tell all of the ingredients were fresh and the taste did not disappoint one bit. I'm hoping I can try out the other items on the menu and see how the tacos and quesadillas are. In terms of location, it's not in the most visible area since it's in the empty parking lot across from Olive Garden. So you really need to be driving by close to see that there's a food truck nestled over there. I'm sure if this was in a high traffic space, more people would be coming here.

Ambiance: Outdoor patio seating only, very vibey. Good place to sit down and talk Tostada mixta $10 (3/5): This ceviche was HUGE. This contains 70% imitation crab, 10% shrimp, 10% octopus, 10% vegeatables, and 2 tostadas. Having this much imitation crab was not my jam, it overpowered the actual fresh seafood. Definitely filling by itself, but I personally would rather order the shrimp and octopus ceviche next time. Burrito $10 (4/5): Not your typical big fat burrito with a bunch of stuff inside. It's a little bit creamy but not saucy. The salsa on the side enhances it. Fish tacos $3.50 (4/5): Solid fish tacos, huge portions as well. 2 of these would be filling for me. Would get these again, the bomb.com Thought the prices were a tad expensive, but getting your money's worth, HUGE portions. Would come back again for the tacos.
