You can tell all of the ingredients were fresh and the taste did not disappoint one bit. I'm hoping I can try out the other items on the menu and see how the tacos and quesadillas are. In terms of location, it's not in the most visible area since it's in the empty parking lot across from Olive Garden. Drove by it a few times and figured I'd try it the evening I took Tess back home. She stayed at my place for a week to use my car and to take care of Gavin while I was away on a business trip. When we found them at Eastridge Mall, they were at the far end of the parking lot near the Wells Fargo (opposite of entrance E by the AMC). Great prices and good quality tacos with delicious flavor! We got a selection of tacos - chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada and liked them all. The avocado salsa was our favorite, but they were all good. I've seen this truck once before and it immediately peaked my interest. The location of the truck is in Eastridge's parking lot entrance specifically by the food court. I ordered 2 supreme burritos ($12 each) from this place with no line and they came out within 10 minutes. The man who took my order was so friendly and nice too. He never seemed annoyed when I made a lot of adjustments. A long time ago I was traumatized by really sour sour cream taking up half of my burrito and making it fall apart. But the sour cream was modest and a compliment to the burrito- just the perfect amount of flavor and moistness. I usually think asada is too dry but it was well cooked, flavorful, and tender! My personal favorite meat is cabeza and though others might not like it, to me my burrito was super soft to eat and munch on. It was like soft mush but not gelatin like which is my ideal texture. Never tried Tacos El Pelon, and I wanted to try a new place for burritos. Saw all the great reviews so I placed an order for delivery. I chose the cabeza supreme burrito with no beans. After unwrapping half the burrito, I saw the outside of it was very greasy. I figured maybe they had it sitting on the grill top just a tad too long. That's ok. I think I started on the wrong half of the burrito because the first inch or two was rice only. Halfway through, you can see there's a pretty generous amount of meat, but barely any avocado peaking through. The bottom part of the burrito had all the cilantro, onions, sour cream, and avocado. Writing this, I just remembered that it should have had cheese, but I don't recall seeing any. The taste of everything was decent but I did wish that the burrito was better constructed and that all those other elements weren't stuck at the bottom. The whole burrito was very oily. Oil kept dripping down my hand and fingers and I had a large pile of greasy napkins when I finished. I would give the taste and experience a 3/5 because of how much meat they put. However, I got sick that night and had nothing else out of the ordinary earlier that day. I have to take another star off for all the grease. I think I've found my new favorite taco truck!! Ordered doordash from here recently and everything was packaged super well. I ended up eating it an hour later and it was still SO good reheated. I got an al pastor quesadilla and 3 tacos: asada, pastor, and lengua. The al pastor was my favorite for sure, it was super flavorful. The lengua was also great, the texture was just right. I really liked how they included everything: lime, grilled onions, onion & cilantro, and even radishes. They have this spicy and sweet salsa that was amazing and really went well with the tacos. Walked up on a cold and rainy day and ordered 3 tacos de carne asada, 1 taco de al pastor, and one cheese quesadilla. My order was ready pretty fast and I took a large bite of the quesadilla. A mouthful of melted cheesy goodness. The tacos were delicious. I liked the carne asada more then the al pastor. The meat was savory and not overcooked. My plate came with grilled onions and a Chile and rábanos. The grilled onions complemented the tacos nicely. The tortilla had a little bit of meat grease so they were crunchy. I tried this taco truck while it was at MoxieCrossfit and I had two Asada tacos, corn tortillas were perfection.......melted in your mouth and the perfect size! The meat was cooked so it was tender and flavorful. I front of the truck you had an abundance of salsa, onions, cilantro, radish, crema. Everything was fresh and made the taco that much more delicious. Can wait to try them again and this time I will have my ATM card or cash and not have to borrow $$ to try! Each taco is $2 which is the usual price for a street style taco. The tortillas were perfectly cooked. They were not too hard like some other places make them. We got carne asada, lengua, and chorizo. They all had amazing flavor. My favorite was the carne asada. I am so picky when it comes to meat but the carne asada was cooked perfectly and it had amazing flavor. They have three different salsas. The tomatillo and guacamole salsas are mild. They have a pretty good flavor. The red salsa however, does not play. It is so spicy so just be mindful of how much you are putting on your tacos. Don't get me wrong it's hella bomb but if you put too much, it wil ruin your tacos.
