They used to operate out of a food truck in another part of Homedale and have migrated to having their first permanent location. I believe we were told they moved in here in October of 2022. It is a place that has a meat counter for Mexican delicacies, but there are about 6-7 tables where you can dine in and enjoy some great tasting food. My wife and I both ordered the Pollo Asado plate along with a side of guacamole and some fried jalapeños. I can honestly say that everything was prepared very well and have great flavor. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the guacamole was obviously made fresh. That, in itself, was a bonus. No mass produced guacamole! The rice and beans were a perfect portion size for the meal, and the three tortillas were soft and warm. We both left satisfied and not over stuffed! There is a small area where they sell tortillas and Mexican spices. This is good to know since we like to make our own Mexican style sauces at home. We love supporting small business whenever we can. This cart gets great reviews for a reason! We got Barbacoa and chicken tacos. The barbacoa was tender, flavorful, all the right things. Sometimes chicken tacos lack luster and they give you diced-ish chicken. Not here! It's tinga style chicken, so it's shredded and juicy and a teeny bit spicy. Tacos are traditional- cilantro, onion, protein, and they add a good salsa on top too! The red sauce is pretty hot, if you're into that. But, the tortillas! They are homemade and they are like soft little pillows to cradle your food. They don't fall apart either, like a lot of corn tortillas do when you pick them up. They are so, so good.
