Walked in and there was a pretty good line waiting for food. They have it all right there in the other side of the glass window so you can see what they are doing. Nice big screen to see what they offer on the menu. During the week days they have taco, burrito and bowl specials. They have a large seating area after you order. If you have take out to wait for your food at counter. If you have dine in they will bring to your table. Not too sure about cross contamination due to the food being set up like chipotle and subway. So I guess there is some with the toppings. The one o would be worried about is seafood allergy. I was not able to get a picture but you might want to make sure they done fry fish and shrimp in the same basket as fries and taquitos. Co-worker ordered nachos and one got enchiladas. Both of them had elements that were microwaved to make warm. The nachos were microwaved to melt the cheese and the enchiladas the green sauce was placed in a plastic bowl microwaved then poured over enchiladas. I don't like when places have to use microwaves but they have 3 of them I say. I had the taquitos. I must admit, the flavor was good. Fried just right. My family has been stopping by here for years when we travel through Ontario. Haven't been here since 2020 so it was nice to see the place is still open. Been looking for good Mexican food since moving to the area last fall. Reviews enticed us to try this place. It is a "order at the counter" and take a seat kind of place. Looks like they have beer. I only wanted water-25¢ for the red cup. I ordered the green enchiladas with rice and beans, hubby got a burrito (huge). Must say I haven't had such tasty refried beans and rice in so long! The enchiladas had a marvelous green sauce. I'm hooked. Husband ate the WHOLE burrito! We shall return! read more

Food was bland and rhe salsa's were soso. (Dang I'm disappointed) Cashier wad not friendly and very lazy it appeared! Definitely has time to lean but not to clea !! Napkins dispensers were the worst I've seen, and all looked empty, but they were not. The sauces on the tables were beyond dirty and looked to have never been cleaned or wiped down. I haven't been to Tacos Mi for about two and a half years now, so I was excited to have a burrito from them again! but this last time I don't know if it was old, reused or frozen and then thawed to use, but the lettuce was brownish and super soggy. Not fresh at all. I had to stop eating my burrito and threw up from the expired taste of the lettuce. I'm hoping it was just a one time thing, but my family probably won't be eating there anytime soon, unfortunately. Update- I picked off all the lettuce but still threw up afterwords. Then there is Tacos Mi Ranchito. A hole in the wall at 4.5 stars. This place was amazing. Flavor was in every bite and the service was fast and friendly. Wonderful restaurant. The food was pretty good. My wife and I had tacos on Taco Tuesday (the day their tacos are supposed to be discounted 75 cents each). After paying, I realized the cashier had over charged me $4.50. I brought the error to her attention as we were leaving. The cashier simply dismissed the error saying "I didn't apply the discount". Such arrogance! At that , I insisted that she refund the overcharge.She became very rude. After several minutes of arguing with her, she refunded part of the overcharge and then told me to leave; which I did. In hindsight sight, I don't think she was Intellegence enough to do the simple math. A very arrogant, stupid person in charge. I have been stopping in there for lunch the past 12 years, but NEVER AGAIN! It's not that hard to make tacos! read more

First time at Tacos Mi Ranchito. We arrived around 2 PM on a Monday and there were a couple of small tables full. Each of the four of us ordered something different: an enchilada combo; a pair of carnitas tacos; a duo of shrimp tacos and my order, a burrito al pastor. We added a small bowl of chips for a total of about $26. I didn't taste anyone else's dish, but they all finished with praise for the taste. My pastor burrito was fairly massive: easily a half-pound monster. The free available ingredients included onions, cilantro, salsa, beans, rice, cheese, pico de gallo and of course, the protein. Everything was wrapped in a huge, heated flour tortilla. I was hopeful it would be seared off, to seal and awaken the flavors. Alas, they had no griddle. In fact, the combo plate was finished with a quick spin inside a microwave oven. Perhaps a miss on their part but I think the grill-less location was a method to keep the costs down because it certainly was affordable. Probably due to the predominantly retired population. The food was still decent. It was more cafe-like than restaurant fare. I don't know if a return visit will transpire, since we were just visiting retired relatives. read more

So you walk in and they have one swamp cooler by the front and the rest of the place is uncomfortably hot. Everything is dirty, pricy, no silverware in the holders, they were out of beans for my bowl & the meats/food was bland except for the guac & pico. Was pleasantly surprised how great this restaurant turned out to be. My hubby had the carnitas burrito and I had the enchilada verdes! The food was fresh, very authentic and in my opinion a 5 star status. My hubby had a beer with his lunch and I had to try a fresh margarita on the rocks! Beyond good! Great shrimp and great steak tacos. I eat at "taco joints" all over the county. While spending a night in Ontario I found Tacos Mi Ranchito on Yelp and gave it a try. Because the guy ahead of me was ordering for a big group, I had time to meet the couple behind me in line who said they came often. "Do you recommend beef or chicken taco?" They highly recommended the beef along with the fish and shrimp. So I ordered two shrimp and one beef taco plus chips and salsa for only $1. My total order was less than $10. I got my order to go and enjoyed every bite while back at my hotel. The steak taco with "everything" included guacamole. I've kissed a lot of pigs while on the road. While in Boise for a wedding, us East Coasters took a one-hour drive to Ontario, Oregon so we could say we'd been to that state. Got a meal to further justify the trip--WOW!
