    Taco Tuesday.
    Anthony D.

Tacos Tequila is your typical hole-in-the-wall taqueria that is easy to miss as you are driving by. Once you walk inside, the clean, nondescript space seems as though it could have been a multitude of different establishments over the years, with its latest incarnation being a taqueria. The counter service during my visit was exceptionally helpful and friendly which is always nice. Counter personnel was appropriately masked. Since it was Taco Tuesday, I ordered two Carne Asada and two Carnitas tacos which comes with onions and cilantro. I asked for easy cilantro. My order may have been taken incorrectly. Perhaps, grill personnel, who shot me a dirty look, did not like the fact that I was wearing a mask. She was not. Nonetheless, I received almost no onions and heavy cilantro. 4 tacos for eight bucks is a deal, to me. Other reviewers have mentioned of the high cost of $1.85 for a taco, which to me, is not high. Other than lack of onions and the heavy cilantro, my tacos were great. I'd probably go back when in the mood for a good cheap Taco Tuesday.

    Wet carne asada burrito.

I ordered a wet carne asada burrito. The burrito was very good it had meat, rice and whole beans. They have a salsa bar everything was fresh. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely return again, next time I will try the menudo, oh by the way they only have it on the weekends. My boyfriend had the carne asada Torta, taco de tripas and horchata. He said horchata and tripas was very good, now as far as the carne asada he thinks it needs more flavor. Over all we will return and try something else in the menu.

This menu is missing the Quesabirria, but it's so so good!! Just order it!!

Awesome food and great service! Get the Quesabirria!! My friend and I were traveling through Tulare and decided to find tacos to eat, and luckily found Tacos Tequila! As we were ordering, the owner suggested we try the Quesabirria, and I'm so glad we did. They were amazing and I wish we ordered more. We also ordered tamales and tacos with asada, pastor and cabeza which we're all great! Salsa bar had 5 or 6 salsas and all the extras you'd expect. I'll definitely be coming back when I pass through Tulare again!

We decided to stop by this spot after our movie and we were not disappointed. I have to say the Asada wasn't bad but the Al Pastor stole the show. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. The only negative for me was they don't serve alcohol. I know that sounds terrible but there's something about beer and tacos they had a couple delicious salsa. Try the green and the one a little orange looking. So good! We will be back!

Great food. Great prices. Could use a beer with it. Also, just wish the consome was a little spicy. But, still worth a try.

Everything was great! The Quesabirra, Lengua, and Pastor all had great flavor, and a salsa bar with everything you need. Definitely worth the trip from Visalia, and will be back to try the other items from the menu.

Oh. My. Goodness. We discovered THE most delicious Mexican restaurant in town just now: "Tacos Tequila" And they're only about 1/2 a mile away from us. (Dangerous! LOL!) Super friendly staff and PHENOMENAL FOOD! We'll be back. (A lot!)

So, I had high hopes for this place, but overall it was a bit of a letdown. I ordered 8 tacos (6…read moreasada, 1 chorizo, 1 chicharrón), 1 burrito, and 1 crunchy asada taco. The asada tacos actually had decent flavor -- although the meat was a little on the salty side. Not a deal breaker, but noticeable. The chorizo taco? Honestly, tasted just like the kind you buy at any grocery store and cook at home -- nothing special at all. I was hoping for that rich, house-made taste, but nope. The chicharrón taco was probably the most disappointing -- it was basically a cuerito taco. No real meat, just soft skin, so not what I was expecting. But what really killed the experience for me was the salsa situation. They gave me just two small containers of salsa for everything. The red one was tasty, and the green one was basic but good -- but come on, two little salsas for 8 tacos and a burrito? No limes, no radishes, nothing to help bring the tacos together. We ended up trying to ration the salsa, and without enough, the tacos felt dry. Everyone knows a taco needs to have that salsa dripping down and a good squeeze of lime to really come alive -- otherwise, it's just meat on a tortilla. I'm giving it 3 stars because the asada tacos had potential. But the overall execution, especially the lack of salsa and sides, really brought the meal down. Probably won't be rushing back.

You can genuinely feel the passion and pride they have for what they do, and it shows in every detail. I regret not taking a photo of our food because the presentation alone was stunning. I was just so excited to eat it haha my husband and I did the Sunday brunch and they had everything you could possibly be craving. But even more impressive were the flavors -- absolutely unforgettable. Every bite reflected authentic Mexican roots, from the perfectly seasoned meats and spices to the beautifully plated dishes. Their horchata was refreshing and delicious, and the homemade corn tortillas so sooo amazing! Everything was Fresh, hot, and simply next level. We originally came just to test out their food, and we left getting their number to book them for our baby shower! The quality, flavor, and service exceeded all expectations. The fact that they offer catering makes it even better -- we cannot wait to sit down and go over the details with them. If you're craving authentic Mexican food made with heart, this is the place. You won't just leave satisfied -- you'll leave in love.

Out-of-bounds! Service: Amazing. Friendly and helpful. Frequently checking in. Standout: Sunday brunch buffet. They serve you so it's not a bunch of grubby hands-type of buffet. Sample many of their plate offerings and can add menudo or pozole. Cafe de Olla. Free refills. All for a generous price (IMO). My 4th favorite Mexican Brunch place other than home, my mother-in law's or my mom's. It's good. Cons: Spoons. Too flat. Need deeper spoons to fit more food into a bite. No bibs. Prepare to get dirty. Also, they don't let you take a plate home. JK! Other than being in Tulare but guess they deserve a gem too!
