Perfect Al pastor street tacos. I try street tacos everywhere I go in Arizona and California. Finding carne asada street tacos done well is fairly easy to do, but most places do not offer pork street tacos, and I've only found them done this well at Tacos El Gordo, which also hails its flavors and menu to the same city as Tacos Tijuana. The restaurant itself is larger than most street taco shops, which is nice, giving lots of room for groups or big lunch crowds. The menu is simple, and shirt. I like that. Tacos, quesadillas, Milpitas and vampiros. They limit your meat choices to just carne asada and al pastor (pork). This is as it should be. I tried the tacos, both flavors, and a pork quesadilla. I loved the al pastor tacos. The carne asada was fine but it lacked that hot slightly greasy taste that I've come to associate the best carne asada street tacos. But the clear winner for me was the al pastor quesadilla. Hot, juicy and flavorful. I also tried the horchata, which was fine but not surprising. The staff is kind, efficient and courteous. The place us clean and not too loud with music. The tables were kept clean and everything seemed well run. The prices seemed reasonable, at 1.75 per taco, and 5.99 per quesadilla. Overall they win big on the al pastor entrees, and I think this maybe the best pork street tacos I've had since my last visit to Tacos El Gordo in San Diego. I will return. read more

I have finally found a place that reminds me of SD and TJ tacos! The menu is simple so it won't take you long to decide. The food was amazing!! I went with both options!! The tortillas were really good. The meat was well seasoned. There was a good amount of Meat, Cilantro and Onion. They dont't have a salsa bar they bring 2 differnt varieties of salsa to your table one was hot the other was mild, but both were pretty flavorful. Like the menu the inside was pretty basic! Not much to look at, no salsa bar or Soda machine. You have your choice of Mexican soda Horchata and Coke and Diet Coke. They have a water jug on the counter by the napkins that was empty. My chair was wobbly and the napkins were cheap. The staff was nice. They brought me my food (I had to grab my own coke out the fridge and open it myself with the bottle opener they have sitting on the counter. Other than taking my order and bringing my food there was no other interaction with the staff. With all that said about the ambience that can all be overlooked! I mean especially when it comes to the food! This will now be a regular on my list!!! I can't wait to bring my hubby and all my friends from San Diego who moved here. First time and got it all to go. We got 5 Carne asada and 5 Al pastor. The restaurant was not busy at the time but it was very nice and cool. Also very spacious, which is not common for taco joints. It was just so hot we wanted to get home. Order was done super quick and they brought it to us. We didn't get home till maybe 30 mins later and I was super impressed. Clean packaging with a lot of red and green sauce on the side . Even though we didn't eat it till much later, the tacos were intact and not soggy at all. Stopped in on a Tuesday and they were extremely busy. Placed an order online and still had to wait about 20 minutes after I arrived for my order. Place is hidden in the corner of a shopping center and is nothing fancy. I ordered about 10 carne asada tacos and 10 pork tacos. Carne asada tacos were good (thus 4 stars) but the pork seemed a little dry and the order seemed to be just thrown together. The kitchen did seemed overwhelmed so maybe they were having an off day. Hola. I ordered from UberEats, therefore I did not dine at the establishment. Carne asada tacos were good. A good bite. They had hand-made corn tortillas, so that was a nice treat. That fit with the taco perfectly. They were not drenched in condiments, so that was good. I just added salsa verde and was ready to eat. Also ordered the al pastor. There were...ok. Hope that helps. I am absolutely in love with thier carne asada burrito. I'd try other things there but it's hard to stray from it. They are huge and the meat is the best asada I've ever had anywhere. It must be marinated over night or something because it"s out of this world. I enjoy listening to the music when I go in there. The salsa bar is great, eveything you could want. The medium salsa is the best IMO. It"s the lighter colored one. The only draw back is no chips. Man, if they would just make chips I would pay for them no problem. Do they not eat chips in Tiajuana? They have bottled Mexican Coke, Jarritos orange, apple, and sangria. They also have fresh horchata. Came in on a Saturday night with some friends for dinner. I had never been here before but I have heard great things so I was excited to try it. It's located in the corner near planet fitness. Decent size place with a cute lit up patio. You walk up to the counter, order, and then they will call your number when your food is ready. They have a green and red salsa you can add on the side. The tacos were AMAZING! They had the option of carne Asada and El Pastor. I got two of each. The meat was so flavorful and the home made pressed corn tortillas were so good. The El Pastor had to of been my favorite!!! They were street taco style loaded with cilantro, lime, raw white onion, and an avocado creama. They are small, so I ordered 4 tacos and it was the perfect amount for me. They also had a small cooler with Mexican sodas. Love me some glass bottle Coca Cola! The food was good but not amazing. I've had mulitas before that were out of this world, but they were good here. I think the bad thing about this place is the limited menu items, only 2 meats, and a very empty salsa bar. There are no burritos or chicken at this place, which I've never seen before at a Hispanic food place. Also, the salsa bar had no salsa. Just the pickled veggies. They do give you salsa, but there are only 2 types, hot and mild. Typically these places have an awesome salsa bar with various types of salsa, especially green. But here. They only had the 2. I'm not a taco guy normally but these are really good. The service was fast and the al pastor tacos (pork) were delicious, especially with the hot sauce. As of this writing, checking in on Yelp gets you one free taco. They work very hard to keep the restaurant clean and you can tell they are just getting things up and running. Despite their best efforts, there is a bad smell in the air like raw sewage. I hope they get that fixed quickly because it detracts from the eating experience. I was surprised to see that the old location for The Place had turned into an authentic taco joint. The inside is a little grungy, but that doesn't matter much when you get authentic Tijuana style tacos. I have never actually sat down to eat here--always order them to go. They have just two meat options: carnitas and carne asada. I have only tried the carne asada so far, but it's absolutely amazing. It's tender and has a great flavor. I also request "everything on it," meaning onions, guacamole, and sauce on the side. There is an island in the middle of the restaurant where you can pick out additional toppings, and I just grab a few limes from there. Bringing them home, even my mother who lived in Mexico claimed that they remind her exactly of the tacos she would get when visiting Tijuana. That's a good sign! read more

They placed my order I texted when I arrived and did not even place it right the missed putting in my 5 tacos.
