What a horrible experience!! So i went there for lunch. The gal at the register was noticeably on drugs which made ordering a challenge we decided to take our food to go but stopped at the salsa bar and got a small tray of chips. Which i thought was included. Lol it wasn't! Most Mexican restaurants give you chips nonetheless i paid for chips but since i had gotten chips in my bags. The gal got really upset saying she had to see how many chips were in the bag. I told her its just a few and she made a big scene in was truly embarrassed. Even though i paid for a bag of chips i told her to keep them. The other people were all staring. And several came to me and apologized for her behavior. I will never return. I've eaten here a couple times and I'll have to say they have the best salsa and chips bar just serve yourself which is nice and with so many options of salsa it is great this time I ended up getting the carne asada burrito which was really good definitely a place to stop by especially if you like chips and salsa. This is not the same place (or owners?) it used to be. Food was expensive, bland and not authentic like I remember it used to be. Not in this part of town too often, but I remember we enjoyed stopping here for real Mexican food. We ordered a carne asada burrito and a pollo taco. My burrito had tiny Sysco type pieces of meat with canned beans and a tiny portion of guacamole with watery salsa. My wife's taco was bland cubed chicken, no lettuce no cheese, no taste. What a shock to take home and find out this was not the quality Mexican food we used to get. Tasted like gringo food.Cannot recommend this place. read more

One of my favorite taco Tuesday places in the valley. Great order counter taco joint that also has a patio and a bar. Prices are great but more importantly the staff is friendly and the street tacos are bomb! I love the fish and carne asada. And don't forget the free chips, salsa and taco extra toppings bar. Also tried to explain the issue with your website he would not even listen. In the end I was promised a call back "when he looked into it" said he would call that night of course that never happened. A $60 to go order and that's how you are treated at this point I feel like we should get a refund for the food we did not get..the wrong food given due to your website (yes I went back in and recreated the order it is a issue with your website) and the tip, I know that won't happen so instead will not return and leave a review. Been coming here for years and the food is consistently great and good quality. They have the best fresh flour tortillas, carne asada and beans on this side of town. Salsa bar has a big variety and worth dining in if you have time. Nice patio, but is close to a very busy main road. Sometimes the wait is long, but it truly is worth it. My family are regulars we have always been treated with kindness. Today I was in the drive and what I witnessed was absolutely unacceptable. I just want to say your workers are amazing and deserve so much respect. Today a horrible lady from California screamed and berated one of your amazing staff members. She called the worker a slur and then after getting a reaction from the worker the lady proceeded to record or take pictures of your workers. Then she just sat at the window. On mornings I don't feel quite right (which is more the older I get) I head here for the Huevos Rancheros. I think it's the combination of fried potatoes, beans, eggs, Ranchero sauce and tortillas. It's solid and tasty. Their Ranchero sauce is the best anywhere. Tomatoes, onions, green pepper and Jalapeno is perfect. The service is always friendly and quick. A herd (14 guys) of Aps workers hit them all at once yesterday and they all had their food within 5 minutes. The ambiance is comfortable but sparce. The location couldn't be easier with plenty of parking. Must be something medicinal in the Ranchero sauce, because I always feel much better after. read more

I took my son and his girlfriend here for dinner. They like this place but I consider it average fare. You order at the counter and grab a seat until your order is called. The place seems cramped and it was noisy. The employees we dealt with don't smile or give the impression they appreciate the business. The serving size is plentiful but the food was average. I am sorry to say that this restaurant has gone downhill since new management took over. We ordered 1 machaca beef chimichanga, 1 shredded chicken chimichanga and a menudo for my husband. The menudo was inedible, the tripe smelled, was not cleaned properly and tasted awful! He took it back and got a machaca beef chimi just like me. Both chimis had a few shreds of meat, but was filled to the brim with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes! If I had wanted the veggie chimi, I would have ordered it! The same for my son's chicken chimi, very skimpy on chicken. the rice tasted like old cardboard. I left your restaurant hungry! Then we went home and had a nice case of food poisoning! You raised your prices, we didn't complain, but barely adding meat or chicken is a horrible way to do business. Then being ill on top of that is not cool! We have eaten at Mixteca numerous times in the past and the food was delicious ,unfortunately now the time has come to find another Mexican food restaurant! Something is terribly wrong here!
