We were on this side of town and it was Cinco de Mayo, used Yelp and this is what immediately came up. Yay for yelp because this place was a winner. Very small moms and pops spot in an obscure strip mall. But the burritos we had were huge and DELISH. We enjoyed ourselves so much and will certainly drive back out here just for the food. Additionally the customer service will bring us back too. The young lady cashier answered all my questions, and I typically have a million. She also adjusted the burrito I requested to suite my pescatarian palate. While you wait for your food they bring out warm chips and you self serve yourself salsa from a tiny cold bar. Always up for trying a new Mexican restaurant - we have so many excellent ones here in Baltimore! Not sure how this place earned all these stars. As far as taste goes, would probably be more like 2 stars but the waitress was super nice and they were very fast with our orders so that pushes it to a 3 :-). Prices are fair. Street tacos are $2.50ish but definitely nothing to text home about ;-). None of my friends seemed to blown away by their steak quesadillas, beef burritos, or tacos either so I know it's not just me. The shopping center vibe does not help matters either but I'm pretty good at keeping an open mind about the setting but would still say there are FAR more delicious Mexican eateries in the Bmore area so likely won't be re-visiting this one. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by here on a whim because I was craving nachos BAD! So we stopped here and we were NOT disappointed!! The serving size, considering the amount I paid for the nachos, was much more than what I was expecting. I spent $12 for a huge plate of nachos, steak, pulled chicken, queso, pico de gallo and sour cream. Had I known the serving was so large, we would've split the nachos vs. him getting his own taco bowl. The food was amazing and again, I couldn't beat the price. I was a little unsure of this location as it is in a kind of sketchy area, but the food is great! I am giving the rating a four because it was a little slow to get three carnitas street tacos, and the floor needs mopped (probably due to it was packed when I was there and the ladies behind the counter were working non stop so they had no time to spare). The corn tortillas were done right as they were not rubbery and heated correctly. I would recommend this location. I would actually award Tacos Tolteca a 4.5 if possible. This place is surely a diamond in the rough called Dundalk. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and it was freshly made in about 5 minutes for me. The staff was extremely friendly and those quesadillas were some of the best that I have ever had. Their menu isn't huge but the next time out I am going to go for the specialty burritos. Two kind of enchiladas, 2 kinds of chimichangas, 2 kinds of the Gordo burritos, 2 taquitos, 12 tacos and some quesadillas. We tried all the salsas they offer and had a bunch of chips. Our order was wrong 2 times in a row. The first time they gave us the order it was missing a whole entire entree. When we placed it, they told us they were out of the El Pastor tacos. This is a quality authentic Mexican restaurant located behind Eastpoint Mall. They have all the standard menu items for that style of restaurant and everything is made fresh. I've been here a few times, always getting just a couple of soft tacos. They include freshly made tortilla chips and two deep fried...small white onions or some shit. W/e it was, I ate it with tacos. I've only been disappointed here once when I ordered tacos de lengua (beef tongue tacos), which I later realized wasn't even on the menu.
