I love this place! There's street parking but I recommend walking here if you're in the area. The place itself is intimate with a decent amount of seating for the size. Many folks opt for order pick ups rather than eating inside. We ate inside and it was pleasant. There's a clean bathroom here as well. The burritos were quite filling. I got the chicken sisig and my boyfriend got the steak burrito, SO good! I only wish that there was more salsa. I decided to try this place based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The food was pretty average and definitely overpriced for what you get. I ordered the surf and turf burrito, and it was just... meh. The real deal-breaker, though, was when a huge roach showed up while I was eating. I lost my appetite immediately. I didn't snap a photo because I assumed it might've wandered in through the open windows. I moved to another table, but the staff gave me a look like I had brought it in myself. This is a small, fast casual burrito place right next to Matthews Pizza and across Eastern Avenue from the Creative Alliance. So basically, an amazing spot. The burritos were huge (like, seriously, 2 people can split one) and very tasty. These are not typical Mexican-style burritos, they are creative, with a Southern California and Hawaiian flare. We got the teriyaki steak and gochujang steak burritos. We also got a side of onion rings, even though they aren't technically on the menu. Everything was perfectly cooked and freaking amazing. Recently stopped in to Mystic Burrito after checking out an exhibit at Creative Alliance across the street. I needed something to hold me over on the drive back to New Jersey, and I couldn't have been more pleased! When I say I would drive to Maryland just for a burrito, I absolutely mean it! The service was great. It's a cute little place to sit and catch up with friends, which I was able to do with a long time friend from high school and their partner. We sat at the counter but next time I'd suggest we grab a table and stay a little longer. That was cool for such a quick catch up session and fulfilling meal. My friend got tacos and a burrito, and as someone who lives in Baltimore was very happy to have a new spot to grab some eats. I thoroughly enjoyed my food, the interactions with staff and other customers, and the overall atmosphere. I will surely return and if you're in the neighborhood, you should definitely check it out. We got the Mochiko Fried Chicken Burrito and the Sisig Burrito (with chicken) and both were outstanding. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner, Alex (he's a local guy who spent a number of years in NorCal before moving back) when I went to pick up our food (there is space to eat there as well) and learned about the things he does to ensure everything is super fresh, handmade and with the best ingredients (since everything is made to order, this isn't a 2 minute process). Cause it is god dang good. The guacamole is exceptional. The location, top notch. As jimmy buffet once said " waisted away again in maragativille" but as I say "waisted away in burrito ville". You won't wake up with a headache but you will wake up with a smile on your face. I would recommend this place for "The Prepper" Breakfast Burrito and the ambience. This burrito is a really flavorful, yummy find for breakfast/brunch in Baltimore. I also love how they serve their burritos with a small salad. The inside of the restaurant is really cute with some seating options perfect for groups of four people or less. You order at the counter which is easy and convenient. The staff always seem nice. However, the only other burrito I have tried besides "The Prepper" was the Carne Asada Burrito, which was not great. Normally, I would expect a carne asada burrito to have lots flavors and spices, but this burrito tasted like they barely seasoned the meat. So good! The burritos are a good size, and they have tons of variety. The classic Carne Asada is my favorite but some of their specials are good too. If you're super starving, you may want to order two, eat part of the second one, and save the rest for later. But honestly that's only if you like haven't eaten all day. Also, I almost always get delivery from here, but today I went in, and the store is lovely. It's extremely clean, pleasant to be in and sit for a bit. The staff are friendly, they run a lean staff so expect a small (~10-15 min) wait for your burrito. Sides like fries come out faster, in maybe 3-5 mins. read more

I have been looking for a good burrito place since I moved to Baltimore about 3 months ago. I can finally rest assured that when the craving comes, Mystic Burrito will be there to satisfy my taste buds. I was lucky enough to speak with the owner, Alex, who noted he was from the Bay Area after I commented on his culturally eclectic menu (Filipino Sisig and Kimchi in a burrito? Who would've thought). It was clear he was passionate and constantly experimenting to improve the menu, including replacing the slaw in the sisig burrito with aforementioned kimchi. Everything was reasonably priced with burritos being between $10-$15. I ordered the Pork Sisig Burrito, the chips and salsa, and my partner got the Tofu Verde Burrito. The chips were perfect: Thick and crispy. The red and green salsa were also delicious and homemade, the green being very fresh while the red having a more roasted flavor. The burritos were DENSE! Despite my burrito having extremely powerful flavors from the sisig and the kimchi, everything balanced perfectly. What could have been a multicultural mess ended up being a beautifully balanced, tortilla-wrapped package to stuff in my mouth. The kimchi was bright and fresh, the sisig was smokey, rich, and delightful. The tofu verde burrito was equally as delightful, if a bit lighter: The tofu was a good balance between soft and crispy. By the end we were stuffed! I will be back to try more burritos from this place. Mystic Burrito is a one-of-a-kind restaurant in this city. I was really excited for Mystic Burrito to open. I read an article from Baltimore Magazine that the owner spent 30 years in California and was bringing influences from California into this restaurant along with having an fusion flare on several other menu items. I love a fusion food and additionally, as a native Californian who has moved to Baltimore, I was also really excited to also potentially find a burrito that was similar to what I grew up with. This article from Baltimore Magazine also said that the owner was sourcing the tortillas for the burritos from California, which I was really excited for since having a quality tortilla can make a burrito so much better. He also imports quality cheese from Lancaster. The cheese and the tortillas were the only highlights of both the breakfast burrito and the carne asada burrito though, unfortunately. Everything else in the burritos I thought was lacking in flavor. Starting with the Carne Asada Burrito... The black beans were undercooked and didn't taste like they were seasoned at all. The Spanish rice also tasted bland. The carne asada had a nice texture, but also lacked flavor. For the breakfast burrito... god I have been needing a good breakfast burrito in Maryland for a long time and I was hoping this would fill the void but it was so disappointing. The potatoes just weren't right. A potato closer to hash browns would have been so much better. Then everything else in the burrito, just like the carne asada burrito, was just lacking flavor. The salsa that was provided with both burritos was also lacking flavor and just a bit off. It tasted slightly sweet, which I didn't love for a basic red salsa and it didn't have really any heat. I might come back and try one of the fusion burritos and maybe those will be better, but I am sadly disappointed in my first experience. read more
