I was visiting El Paso for work, and my cousin, who lives nearby, picked me up at the airport. I had flown directly from Los Angeles and was hungry, dare I say hangry! She knows I love tacos, and a trip to Texas will include several taco meals. She suggested Tacos Toro Bronco and the name alone made it sound delicious. It helped that it was near the hotel. I was going to get my traditional Mexican Coke, but they have aguas frescas, so I ordered a Pepino-Limon. Not only was it delicious, but it was great for hydrating after a flight. The Taco Plato came with four tacos. I got Barbacoa, and my cousin got the same order but two de Pollo and two de Res, and we traded. It came with a cup of Frijoles Charros and una Papa with a side of aguacate. The chips and salsa were delicious, with a good variety of heat. The whole meal reminded me of los puestos de Monterrey. We are in town and visiting relatives and on our way from the airport to Las Cruces I wanted a quick Margarita and taco. You won't get a margarita here or even a Cerveza but what you will get is freaking amazing. I have the Barbacoa tacos my husband and the Carnitas and we also shared the chorizo queso all outstanding. Second time here and I love it. First time I got res (beef) tacos (not to be confused w/ground beef). 4 to and order w 1/2 avocado and garnish. Sorry no pics but they were $7.99 Today we brought my grandma and it was 4 of us. We ordered for 5. The parrillada for 5 $41.99 (depending on your appetite this can feed more than 5) but it is served with (5) baked potatoes , queso fundido, long green chile, jalapeño, grilled onions and they give you complementary beans to start. They also serve red, green and a guacamole style salsas with chips. Currently this establishment is BYOB (winning!). I ordered my lemonade to go cause the cup is huge and I never drink my whole drink while eating anyway. I had to order flan, one of my favorite desserts ever and you can tell it's homemade which is crucial. This place is hidden behind a gas station so it is not noticeable from the main road. There went many inside and there was plenty of room for groups. I had not been here before, but we chose the Parrilas for two. It included 2 meats, grilled onions jalapeños and green chilies, queso Fundido with rajas ( grilled cheese with chiles) and baked potatoes with butter. Served with tiny corn tortillas. There were 3 different salas to add to your meal and of course tostadas. So you make your own soft tacos and enjoy! There was plenty for 3 of us and some to take home. Very good. read more

The only reason why I'm giving this a 4 star review is because while eating one of the ladies started to clean. Using heavy duty mopping cleaners which made us all start to cough due to the fumes. We love Tacos Toro Bronco on north loop so when we saw this place after leaving Bassett we had to stop. The place was empty at 4pm on a Friday. We sat and got attended to quickly. The food came out quickly. The food was so good the service after the plates hit the table though was nonexistent. From the looks of it we came in as their Christmas party started bcz all the staff was sitting around several boxes of little ceasars pizza chatting away while kids ran around. We finished eating still no one came to ask us if we needed anything. They finished eating. We talked. They talked. Finally after 40 minutes or more the waiter asked if we needed anything. A box to go and that was it. Would we go back? Nope. I'm very customer service oriented and this place despite the good food lost a could have been weekly customer. 1st time there was really good - had the taco plate. They're 2 bite tacos but good. Never had tacos with bake potato but was good too. Cilantro was for garnish and onions were grilled.
