It was well-cooked and seasoned to perfection, but a little too greasy at the same time. My wife ordered the asada fries, which come with carne asada, cheese, and pico de gallo on top of French fries. The fries were a little soggy for my liking, but overall everything tasted okay. When I arrived at the restaurant, the lady was working in the kitchen by herself. She was super nice and friendly and answered all the questions I had about some of the menu items. After a bit of a wait, my food came out. She packaged it to go, and I went home to try it. I got reminded about this place from this one guy on TikTok, and although I had known about it before, I just never got around to stopping by to give it a try. The place isn't very big, but they have enough tables for people to sit down and enjoy their food. As for the ambience, it was well-decorated, just as you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Would I come back again? Probably not, but if you haven't tried it before, you should give it a shot. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions. I just like trying new places and then move on to something different so I don't get bored with what I'm eating. It really was WOW!! The flavor was great. The woman that called to confirm my order since I placed it the night before it seemed confusing. She thought they missed my order. So sweet! Anyways, we ordered the following: Jumbo Burrito with Carnitas. Had to save half for dinner. The guy loves Burritos and usually can eat even a super size. This was so good; but so packed he had to wrap it up for later. Shrimp Quesadilla...HUGE! and the shrimp were not shrimps! They were big and sweet! the tortilla was not greasy at all. None of the food was greasy! 2 chicken tacos. I should have got 3! So good! I asked for pico de gallo on side and if possible guacamole, they sent some since it was not on their menu. I'm in shock at the seemingly good reviews here in comparison to my experience. Upon entering, my gut told me to turn right around after being hit in the face with the smell of cigarette smoke and seeing a pile of chopped up meat on the stove that has clearly been sitting there a long time, with no one in the kitchen. Truly the best menudo I have ever had! Every piece was so tender, it almost melts in your mouth. The broth was full of flavor and they even had a tender pork hock in my bowl. Absolutely the way menudo should be. It didn't have any gamey taste. I also had their lengua mulita. Not sure why it's such an issue to answer a simple question. I didn't remark on her rude attitude and instead replied, ok thank you, and ended the call. I placed my delivery order on Yelp, specifying for mild and spicy salsa on the side for each of my items. A breakfast burrito, two tacos, and a mullita. My order was delivered with zero salsa. Just the three items wrapped in foil. Who wants dry Mexican food!?? Overall just mediocre experience and an interaction that made me feel stupid/annoying for having a question.
