$5 Jamaica hibiscus drink was huge! Taste similar to cranberry juice.

Restaurant quality food to go! Clean tasting food with many choices of meats. Best is to eat as soon as you get it. Very nice person taking the order. $40 = 5 tacos, 1 combo, 1 mulita, 1 drink, 1 soda Tip 1 Check your bag before leaving for entire order because ours was missing 1 tortilla for the combo & 1 (free yelp check-in) consome. Tip 2 Poke steam holes in the ToGo containers or leave the lid open. It will help minimize the crispy tortillas from softening too much on the way home. Translations (Guessing...) Asada = roasted/grilled meat Birria = adobo stewed meat Cabeza = head Carnitas = braised/roasted pork Cecina = salted dried/smoked meat Chorizo = seasoned ground pork Consome = clear soup Horchata = milky rice & cinnamon drink Jamaica = sweet hibiscus drink Lengua = beef tongue Mulita = grilled meat & cheese sandwich in corn tortillas. Pastor = thin pork on vertical spit Quesadilla = grilled cheese & meat flour tortilla sandwich Tortas = sandwich in a roll Ordered: Tacos chose a different meat for 5 tacos: asada, pastor, cabeza, carnitas, birria all great $2-3 each. 5* Mulitas chose cabeza meat mostly cheese (did wish for some pickles or veg) Best eaten there else it steams in the foil $5. 4* Combo chose birria (tender!) includes rice, beans, tortillas (which was missing!), grilled onions. Loved how hot the beans were $12. 5* Horchata -they were sadly out. Next time! Jamaica -taste similar to cranberry juice $5. 5* Located -on the NE corner of Harbor Blvd & E Ash Ave

Get the birria quesotacos, check in for the free consome, and dip while you eat. I loved how the tortillas were crispy. The red salsa is spicy, but it has a nice smoky flavor. The al pastor and asada aren't really worth getting, More similar to ground beef than the pieces of meat with bite at other places. On that note, some pieces of birria were tender, but other pieces were kinda rough. The burrito is just a standard burrito. The horchata is fine. I did love the service though. The owner set up tables and chairs for us. He made an extra burrito for our group by accident and let us keep it.

Again! This is our second time and they did not disappoint. Daughter chose the Ramen and enjoyed it a lot.

This Birria truck hits the spot. Located in a seedier part of Downtown Fullerton next to a Sushi Joint this truck serves different taco meats but serves up some great Birria. Off the bat the consome was perfect for my late night snack! The Birria contained chunks of Birria meat in the broth unlike any other place I've been to so far. The broth was full of flavor and slightly oily but complimented the tacos very well. The Birria quesotacos were good and not overflowing with cheese but still a good portion. The nachos were not bad but the meat on top was cooked well and seasoned well. Also, their salsas were different but addicting. They had a smoky peppery flavor to them and it went well with tacos and chips. Overall the food was very good and if I was brave enough I would probably eat with the outdoor seating provided. But it was cold... Also, I couldn't help but chuckle with the dark plastic bag they give the food in...ghetto but nice.

Be warn, all of these reviews are fake! Meat was salty and dry, lack of condiments, and consome taste like oily water.

Terrible place, salty food and fake reviews. Yelp will not let me write more than this.

Since it was so busy, we initially ordered our food to-go because there were no open seats. However, the coolest guy at the register (I forgot to ask his name!) went above and beyond. He asked us to wait a moment and personally got a table ready so we could dine in. His phenomenal service, knowledge, and great personality truly topped off our experience. When I walked through the door I saw that they sold food and were a restaurant and market! Followed the signs to the back and received one strawberry tamale and waited in line to pay for it. The tamales were over by the meat counter so if you're looking for carne asada you can get it here. As for the strawberry tamale, it was bomb! I love sweet tamales, specifically the strawberry one, and the only way I could describe it is it tastes like a really nice, warm, fluffy cake with a bite to it. Not sure if they made it on site or purchased it from someone else, but it was perfect! I purchased two meat tamales earlier at Tlaquepaque, but had I known they sold tamales I would've just went here since the line was not bad and it smelled amazing in there. While I was in line, I noticed they had very cool snacks that I would not expect a corner market to sell. Notably, they had those Korean fruit ice creams that went viral on TikTok! The mango one was in the front, in the deep freezer for sale. I then noticed this wasn't just any ordinary market, they had other worldly snacks that were popular or that I'd never seen before. The layout is so cool inside because it's a historic building and has that historic building charm with the cool layout. That particular part of Old Town looks like you could film a movie scene there, but walking into this place confirmed it could be used for a period piece in a movie or TV show. I DEFINITELY slept on this place for the longest time and will be back to try the food in the restaurant and buy international snacks and peruse the aisles. They also make fresh juice there as well!

The food has been consistently good, but let's talk about that Chicken Mole: so tender it basically forgot it came with bones Absolute comfort-food magic. We stopped by during the Tamales Festival and tried both--chicken tamales were good/solid, but the pork tamales completely stole the show. Rich, flavorful, and the clear overachiever of the duo. All in all, we've always had great luck dining here. One of the few truly dependable and delicious options in Old Town--bonus points for being able to shop and eat in one stop.
