Located in the corner of the plaza where 7-11 is on Imperial and Valley View. Small spot with some seating inside. Nothing fancy but this little family owned taco shop always makes us feel welcomed. Richard (owners son) is super friendly and just gives off a good vibe! He was telling me that they use to stay open until 3am to catch those late night taco cravings but over the years has changed their hours and closed earlier and earlier. However, Richard is trying to draw those late night munchies back and has recently started opening until 7pm on certain days. He hopes to extend the hours as business picks up. Right when we stepped foot. Was welcomed by a young gentlemen that was very social and welcoming. Asked us what we would like. Love his energy and enthusiasm. He was the one that prepared the taco for you right thru the see thru window. Asked if we wanted all the fixings toppings and at the end, salsa for our tacos. Food is delicious. My fave is the menudo and watermelon juice. I've tried almost everything here, from tacos, burritos, bowls, tortas, nachos, taquitos... everything has been really good. As a person who grow up in LA this reminds me of what I'm used to. Service is great, their always so happy and kind. One time some fire guys where there and you could hear one of them asking the other if they tired the watermelon juice and the sweet owner brought him one for no charge. Their so sweet. read more

Came here at 8am to get a regular carne asada burrito and got it promptly for $12. This place does offer breakfast food as well if that's what you're looking for. Just really nice they have non breakfast options during breakfast hours. Prices are fair in this economy. Convenient spot and parking. A very divey hole in the wall that is tucked away in a corner of a tiny strip mall, but it feels very genuine and nostalgic. Food is a standard menu with not too many frills. Two guys working, tv on top of the soda fridge playing a novela, and I dont think they had AC going. Ordered "super nachos" ($13?) with no meat and it was different from what I get at other places mainly because the tortilla chips were fresh. I'm talking thick and freshly fried. While it all tasted bomb, it was slightly difficult to eat bc it did get soggy towards the middle from the beans. Also got a crispy chicken taco ($4). No photo because I dropped it (was still in a container though) so it didnt look too photogenic, but, this was a loaded taco for sure. read more

Came across this spot randomly on my walk while our car was being serviced and decided to give it a try with my 3 year old daughter. Sort a hole in the wall, straight of our Mexico vibe restaurant. Super authentic! We ordered 3 carne asada street tacos and 3 carne asada crispy tacos. Because of the my three year old I had to order the salsa on the side which I think it makes a difference, the salsa was very good. Without it it's sort of plain, the street tacos overall were good, could've been hotter temperature wise but the crispy tacos were surprisingly our favorite and my daughter loved it too! The family all working together makes for a very pleasant experience. Such nice people. Another double header of soccer games this weekend, this time in Yorba Linda. With a two hour break between the games, we made a run for the nearby 7-Eleven for Gatorades and Red Bull... and noticed this modest taco shop in the corner of the small shopping center. We walked in and found a similarly modest restaurant, a few tables and a kitchen area. The counter is still plexiglassed-in, presumably from COVID times. The very nice fellow behind the counter took our order for the 5-street tacos plate and a couple of crispy tacos for my daughter. Our food was prepared quickly while we made a little small talk, and the nice lady behind the counter handed us our bag para llevar. The food was delicious, with tasty asada, pollo, onion, and cilantro. I would definitely be a regular here if I had any good reason to be in YL more frequently. This was our first visit to Tacos San Pedro. We were blown away by how delicious the food is. We ordered the carne asada burrito, street tacos, quesadilla and the crunchy taco combination plate. Had we not been so hungry, I would have taken photos of the food, but trust me, you WILL NOT be disappointed. And not only was the food amazing, so was the service. Ricardo took our order and he was so friendly and welcoming and told us how everything is made there fresh daily. I wish had the name of the other guy who was working with him, but he was just as friendly. So, if you eat here, not only will you get excellent food, you will get top notch service as well. Looked up 'menudo' in Yelp and found this place not too far from us. It's become our go-to spot for Sunday breakfast; menudo and a chorizo burrito. Our buddy tried a meat burrito and had no complaints. It's definitely a hole in the wall, so don't expect fancy, but it's clean! The staff are nice and switch between English and Spanish; and will do Spanglish. I want to try something else on the menu, I swear! But if you know it's tasty, why mess with it? read more
