Authentic Tacos, specifically the dorados were absolutely superb. Service was outstanding and over the top courteous, very attentive. Little hole in the wall, providing excellent flavorful food, salsas were super tasty, and a unique spin was the jalapeno and cebollitas were self serve, along with a condiment bar that you could help yourself to. Whenever you are in the area, you must stop in!

Not very good Carne Asada Tacos "No Flavor!"

I've been coming to this location for years. It was one of my favorite Taco joints. The past couple of times I started to notice changes. Different employees and also the food wasn't the same. I thought it was me but after a few visits I realized that the food is not the same. The service has also changed. No one is ever at the front register. You always have to stand there until someone decides to come to the front. I normally order pastor and every time I go they get worse. Very dry no flavor. This time I ordered Carne Asada and it was horrible. The meat was soggy. As if they boiled it not fried. The tortillas were dry normally they are heated in a-little bit of oil and most of all no flavor. I was able to eat them but I had to force feed myself on the last one. Sad to say I wouldn't be going back. What a shame. This place was on my top places locally for Pastor Tacos now it doesn't even make my list.

This place is still as good as I remember! I walked in and ordered my usual: combo #1 which is 3 tacos with rice and beans. I was able to choose 3 different meats (something most places usually don't like to do). The taste was still great, and I'd rank chicken as #1, Al pastor as #2, and steak as #3. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and came with a bag of everything one could need. I was so happy to see several likes packed because usually I have to ask for extra every single time! If you're in or near downtown Aurora, head to this authentic spot and try for yourself!

    Flavorful, delicious al pastor tacos

Stopped in for a quick bite...and Wow, I'm so glad I did. The al pastor tacos were so flavorful, and so were the red pork tamales. In fact, they were all so good I went back and grabbed extras to take home and share. I was very happy with dinner tonight, and the price was reasonable.

I love Jalisco but not this location. This location has super poor everything. Just now my sister ordered cheese fries and the cheese smelt so bad and tasted horrible. The fries were decent. It is brown more than it is yellow. Horrible horrible.

Authentic Mexican restaurant with amazing food. There's limited booths and tables, but we went 6pm on a Sunday and only one table was taken. It appears a lot of locals order carry-out as it was very busy for walk-ins. As you sit down, they bring a bowl of cut limes and 2 sauces (red & green). My husband ordered the Combo #2 (tostada, taco, burrito, beans & rice) for $10.50. He ordered the taco as beef steak (asada) and the burrito and tostada as shredded beef. The burrito alone is bigger than a can of Pepsi (see photo). I ordered 2 flour shell tacos (shredded beef & chicken) $2.55 each with a side of sour cream ($1.00). All items were packed full of meat, and my husband didn't even get to eat his burrito he was so full. Everything was dripping with juices and so moist. My two tacos were just enough for an adult woman. We ended up ordering shredded beef flour shell tacos to take home to eat later tonight when we got back to our hotel. We cannot wait to come back here again!

Today I want to the store to order a torta I was eating it halfway when I noticed that the meat was tasting weird and I checked and it was raw.

This is our second time visiting! Honestly, My friend and I have tried most taco places in town and this place has the best horchata drink and el pastor tacos!

$5.30 for 3 tacos, beans, and rice are you kidding me? Well if half of the carne asada tacos weren't fat this would be a good deal. Unfortunately they were and I was spitting out chunks like watermelon seeds. Gross... On the other hand the al pastor tacos, although not authentic, were pretty tasty. The rice was run of the mill but the beans were nice and silky smooth. Horchata was missing something too. About as cheap as you are gonna find tacos so check it out if your on a budget. I mean there is a reason the tacos are so cheap. Your smart just think about it...Id say go with the al pastor but its up to you maybe some of the other fillings are better. Ill check it out again since its close to my gf's sisters place.

Food is good, but this is mostly a carry out place - not a place really set up for indoor dining.

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, the bathrooms were clean, the cashier so sweet and patient--I couldn't ask for more! We ordered a asada burrito dinner, a chorizo burrito, and a large horchata to split. We were given a basket of chips and a delicious salsa that had flavor, but wasn't too spicy! The burritos were generously filled and had avocado! That's not something I see everywhere. The beans were a great consistency, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the horchata was top notch! It had a unique flavor, too, and wasn't watery. The cup also wasn't overfilled with ice! While we were patiently waiting for the burritos, we fell victim to the slideshow and decided we just had to try a gordita lol. It was SO good, but the portions were so filling we had to take the rest of the gordita and part of a burrito with. The tomatillo sauce was perfect and the red sauce had quite a kick to it, but not enough that it was painful. The food didn't NEED any extra sauce, but I like to try them, anyways! I wished I lived in this area so I could eat more gorditas, but I will definitely stop here again if I am around! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, please do support this sweet business!
