Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.

With a bar to the right and a laudermat on its left finding a parking spot is like winning the lotto. Now layer in one driveway and you have to make a 3 point turn just to navigate to leave. The short answer is I will absolutely go back to this place as long as there is a parking space to be had.

The carne asada is some of the best in the taco game: tender and flavorful. In a taco or burrito you cannot miss with the carne asada. I also ordered carnitas which were full of flavor and paired nicely with their tangy salsa verde. The horchata was refreshing and ice cold with hints of rice and spice that was more than nice. Tacos y Que is hands down one of my favorite spots in Whittier! Every time I come here, I always get the carne asada and shrimp burrito, and it's incredible. The balance of flavors is spot-on--the carne asada is juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp adds that perfect touch of freshness. The burrito is huge and packed with flavor in every bite! I came here for lunch today and I ordered the bulgogi tacos, the carne asada tacos and a keto taco. The food was alright it needs a little bit more flavour, it's a little dry too. The tacos are expensive since everywhere else charges from $2.50 to 4 or 5 but 7-8 dollars for a taco is a bit too much. The salsas here are watery and there not even made right. Food 5/10, service was alright 7/10, ambiance 5/10 place was a little bit dirty also the restroom was dirty too. I don't think this place is authentic Mexican restaurant. I came into Tacos Y Que yesterday and I order the bulgogi tacos the food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The salsas were watery like if they were from a can or bottle. I don't think Korean food goes well with a taco but I guess it's because this place is not an authentic Mexican restaurant. 99% of Mexican places would sell the tacos around 2.50 or under 5 dollars. Not coming back not worth paying 7 dollars for a mid taco. read more

One of the owners was kind enough to hand deliver the food to our table. What followed was a very pleasant conversation about the restaurant's founding and how it came to be located in Whittier. While eating our delicious food, the music they play in the restaurant was one hit after another (makes sense since I know at least one of the original founders was a musician). Everything about this place is phenomenal. read more

Tried the asada burrito and it was solid--good flavor and satisfying overall. My only wish is that you could choose the type of beans, but that's a small thing. The store itself is nice and clean, and while the service was minimal, it was still perfectly fine. Overall, a good experience and I'd come back. read more

Came here today during my lunch break and I ordered the carne asada tacos and a horchata. The food was overpriced with no flavor. $7 for a taco is not worth it could get tacos for $2.50 at food trucks or stands. This place also uses seed oils which gave me stomach issues after eating the tacos. read more

Not your typical tacos but they are very flavorful. This is a must try if you are in the area or a local. I highly recommend their TYQ tour if this is your first time. Customer service is great. The only item I did not care for was the horchata. read more
