This restaurant is my go to for dinners, special occasions, or just because. Every time I have an out of town guest, this is my go-to dinner destination. They make everything from scratch. Their margaritas are perfect. The guacamole is perfect as is the salsa. I usually eat the Linda quesadilla - it has shrimp (large grilled) along with squash and peppers served with a side of rice, shredded lettuce and guacamole . The flan, if you have room for it, is perfect. Service and prices are good. My Favorite thing about columbia is that there isn't a lack of Mexican food. I also like the fact that there are more than just a few places I like to eat at here. Taco time is one of them. This place is located in an area that's near home so it's a bonus that's it's a short drive. I've gotten the carnitas twice here (I love carnitas) and the way they prepare it is slightly diff than what I'm used to. The pieces of meat come out in pork chunks that are cubed-still very flavorful and tender though... Just not much fat (bummer). This time I got it with a side of sour cream and cheese dipping sauce. Let me tell you, *insert singing voice* heaven! The chips and salsa, Free-99, is also good. I mean, when something is free you can't complain but when it's fluffy tastey chips and perfect salsa that's free. You should really tell the world. I love this place. It use to be Casa Linda. Which was horrible. and I stop going Octiavio a friend of mine said it had a new owner. I went and was very impressed. This man bought it and turn it around.He is very friendly his wife and children works her sometimes also. The chicken fajitas are awesome. My wife gets the polo loco. There is always more then you can eat. I notice everyone complaining about the salsa. I have tried it. It is OK I just don't like salsa of any kind. I don't think its as bad as everyone is saying. I'm honestly ashamed of myself for not coming here sooner. It's less than a mile away from my house and its absolutely delicious. I have been twice now and both times I got the fish tacos. First of all, it's a bargain. You get three good size tacos and rice for $10. They come plain but they give you lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole to use if you'd like. I use all three and its absolutely delicious. The fish is so fresh and succulent. I also had a frozen lime margarita because it was a part of the happy hour and it was good. What can I say about Taco Time besides we love it. This is our spot at least once every couple weeks. The staff k ows our drink order and unless we get something different they know our food order as well. They are courteous and friendly and we have never had a bad experience that they haven't fixed on the spot. My wife always get the Texas Fajitas while I usually go for the Texas Fajitas Nachos topped with ground beef (I can never pass up the ground beef it's too delicious) the salsa is what puts everything over the top, sweet and smokey and tangy with a little heat, it has the perfect balance you could ever hope for. I always get the queso as well, a staple for me though the wife doesn't care for cheese dip. The Fajitas Taxanas comes with steak chicken and shrimp. I came here hoping for some good food. Honestly I wasn't to impressed. I think I would have rather had a cheap taco truck. The chicken and the beef were pretty dry and had little flavor. Food is good. Service is TERRIBLE!! I just moved to the area so I would come here for quick bite to eat or drink. Today I decided to go during happy hour which I always do. I ordered a margarita and my boyfriend ordered a draft beer. We asked for chips and salsa and they stated we cannot have chips and salsa because we were not eating. Food was okay. The day I went they had a special of 3 tacos. Apparently the special only comes with meat, lettuce and cheese. If you want tomatoes you have to pay an extra $.75. They said I could have tomatoes if I got the tacos at regular price. But if I wanted the special I could not have tomatoes if I didn't want to pay extra.?? I then asked if I could have sour cream?
