Had a negative experience at this place. Menus on wall are hard to read and decipher and the noise level was very bad. Line formed inside but went thru main door. Love this new taco place. The tacos are decent in size and you can modify them to fits your needs. They've been great with my dietary restrictions and the food comes out astoundingly quick. This was the worse service ever. My friend was asked to put her mask on as she was taking a bite of her food....absolutely ridiculous!! The good and bad...... New place serving gourmet street tacos that sell for 3.75 to 5.00 each. The place is an extensive renovation of an old restaurant. The place was bright and cheery. You order from the counter and the service was quick on a Sunday lunch hour. Staff was friendly and they kept the place very clean immediately cleaning up after a guest departure. The food was average for tacos. They were over filled which is good but messy. I had a mole chicken and carnitas taco. The chicken taco must have has an eyedropper of mole sauce or else they forgot it. Totally bland. The carnitas taco was better but still relatively bland. My partner and I had tacos there last night. I had the grilled chicken and the shrimp taco. I liked them both but definitely liked the grilled chicken much better than the shrimp. The portions were super generous- almost too generous. The tacos were overflowing with tasty, fresh ingredients, which made it good value for money, but pretty hard to eat without getting pretty messy and using several napkins. I also got the agua Fresca which had almost a smoothie consistency- it was good but I probably wouldn't get it again. The menus is fairly simple but with a good selection of tacos. The tacos we ordered were tasty and generously filled. The drink menu was fun with a rounded selection that wasn't only tequila. The atmosphere was fun and a creative use of outdoor space. read more

The tacos here are very Americanized. I'm from SoCal so my taco standards are fairly high and this place just didn't do it for me. The overall amount of food you get for your money is decent. I ordered two asada tacos, rice, and beans. The asada tacos were under seasoned and the tortillas are definitely store bought. The black beans had no flavor to them. The green rice was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, this place is fair at best. I definitely wouldn't come here again but I think this place is worth a try for some people. read more

Tacovore is one of our favorite taco spots in Covallis! The carnitas tacos come with mandarins and Sereno peppers which I had never had in a taco before but I fell in love with the combination! Topped with the pineapple jalapeño salsa it makes for a really satisfying dinner. The staff is really positive too and usually they get our orders ready within 15 mins everytime! Their tacos are tasty, and not overpriced. The contents of the Herbivore taco change according to seasonal availability of vegetables. Those are excellent, as are the fish tacos. The staff is polite and friendly. It's very noisy indoors though, and the tacos are almost always Cold by the time they are served. My husband and I stopped in on a whim a few days ago because we were missing normalcy. We were immediately happily greeted by several masked workers upon entry. Which always makes me so happy! We were offered a choice of seating out on the patio or indoors. We chose to go with indoor as the dining area has been altered to allow maximum social distancing and comfort. Our server was so kind and prompt! The food and drinks were delicious, and they were even able to make a weak drink for me. I absolutely will dine here again. We loved the atmosphere. Hey! A great new taco place! Good, moderately priced tacos, with a bunch of flavor! I've went ahead and ordered a bunch of tacos to try out the restaurant and was impressed with what they served. The tortillas were warm and fresh, and there were all sort of local meats and ingredients. I absolutely loved the shrimp taco. So good! Only gripe with this place would honestly be the pricing on the chips and salsa; something inherent and relevantly inexpensive to most Spanish restaurant is priced at 2$ individually and 4$ together. Also it seems a bit dry in the interior, a little bit more decorations around the plain walls might spruce things up! But overall, was definitely enjoyable; and I'd recommend checking this place out for your taco needs. read more

You order as you come in. All of our group got something different and great reviews all around. The game was on which made my dad happy and the margaritas were delicious as well. Really glad to see this long dormant space in Corvallis filled with such a beautiful restaurant with cool decor and great food. We just beat the lunch rush too which was nice! We went to Tacovore last night. I got the vegan bowl that they offer, I am not vegan or vegetarian, but was very impressed with the flavors, it didn't even need meat or cheese! The crispy carnitas perfectly accentuated with jicama and a sneaky sweet and tangy mandarin orange slice. The CAULIFLOWER tacos with tangy pickles, crema and crispy veggie mix. Honestly, we love the Tacovore in Eugene and have been a few times but the Corvallis location is just plain bad! The tacos just taste like junk. The tortillas often come out dry and cold, and the tacos themselves just really don't gage good flavor. It's a real head scratcher, your business is tacos????? I am willing to try one more time because of all the food things I've heard.. but honestly, it was pretty bad for me. I ordered two shrimp tacos and one carne asada taco. The carne asada taco was fine and pretty good. There was a lot of carne asada and it was seasoned fine. The shrimp tacos were so bad. They somehow tasted like the rotten smell at the coast that you sometimes smell. I don't know how but that is exactly what it tasted like. Maybe it was an off day so I am willing to try here again, just not anything with seafood. read more

I didn't know if corvallis was big enough for two gourmet taco spots but I think Tacovore pulled it off. First, I love that they revamped the awesome old Dairy Queen building. It's got a super fun, albeit a little cramped, vibe. Even though the place is always hopping, there's never a wait thanks to counter ordering and fast service. The menu is small but there is still something for everyone: vegan bowl, beef and cheese crunchy taco, gourmet options, kids menu and specials. They have a full bar but only a tiny amount of bar seating. My favorite taco was the carnitas. The only unpleasant food experience was the salsa, it was completely bland next time I will try the guacamole. I think this is a more family-friendly and affordable option than Tacovino. Overall, we really enjoyed this and we will be back to try more specials, the salads, and the dessert menu. read more

We are fans of the Eugene location and had to come to opening night. Took a bit to get order but that is expected since it's their first night. Got our order and they put our order in same basket. Which would of been fine except I don't like sour creme on mine. My taco was on the cold side. My wife had one really good one and one cold tortilla and cold carne asada. Hopefully after they get into the swing of things it will be like the Eugene location, but better since it is local to us. read more

Pretty great tacos and wings. I got the lamb tacos last time and I really enjoyed it. This time I got spicy chicken wings. Good price and good amount of wings, weren't spicy at all unfortunately. Cruised over to Tacovore after a hot day at the pumpkin patch with my family. We arrived and were welcomed with a great gust from the A/C. Immediately greeted by a tall younger man with great manners. Our server was also very attentive, she along with everyone else at this establishment has great manners and present a very relaxed vibe that also came with occasional singing of the radio from a couple employees. Now to the food, despite having atleast 6 or 7 tables filled in the restaurant, we received our food in record time. I was shocked that we got our food that fast. The presentation is more of a basket with custom Tacovore paper to line the bottom. Chips and salsa are not free so keep that in mind if you're thinking a traditional Taqueria. Now to the quality; the food was GREAT! the flavor doesn't disappoint. I've been here 3 times now and felt I was ready for a review. Altogether I've ordered the Chorizo, carne esada, and chicken tacos. Also their refried beans are black beans. Wooo!! The bicycles on the walls are a little strange, maybe I don't know the history of tacovore enough to understand the decoration but.. Anyways, I highly recommend Tacovore, the food is a no brainer but you can't beat the team they have in the floor for their great service. That's what will keep you going back. The carnitas taco with tangerine is probably one of my favorite tacos ever.
