They also had a good variety of dried mushrooms, mushroom powders and seasonings, books on mycology, and general cute mushroom paraphernalia. They also had a sweet store dog. Customer service was great, with a friendly staffer explaining the mushrooms we weren't familiar with and providing some tips for their preparation. We ended up with a pound of delicious assorted varieties. The price definitely beat my local supermarket.

We happened upon this farm stand on our drive back into town and, since it had just opened for the day, pulled over to check it out. They list the produce available as well as the prices on the door (either so you don't need to go in if you don't see what you'd like, or for times when they're closed and you happen by), and walking in you're greeted with a few standing refrigerators. They host fresh Easter-egg colored eggs from Jodar farms, fresh cut flowers, beefy heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, kale and zucchini, just to name a few from their expansive collection. They also offer empty cans that you can fill with water and go cut your own flowers or herbs from the garden on the property, and small boxes for pick-your-own cherry tomatoes. We grabbed a few veggies and paid at the honor system self-checkout iPad after waiting in a short line of two people, and then checked out the garden. We're not members, but will definitely be back to support and get some more of the deliciously sweet cucumbers and ridiculously fresh zucchini and kale!

But it's also fun just to walk around and look at all the pretty flowers even if you don't know much about gardening. Everything looked neat and cared for. Pair it with a visit to the university art museum across the street or just stop by and hang out.

Educational, fun, interactive and eye-opening! I learned so much about Greeley's history- from…read moregoing into historic houses, getting informative tours, playing old games, and seeing animals. This village is huge and definitely can spend a whole day here. My friend and I randomly stumbled upon Centennial Village during the Greeley Stampede- the entrance fee was free! Normally they charge, so maybe it's a special promotion during the Stampede. You should definitely go in if you are here this week for the event. Family friendly environment with fresh air and many things to look at. Volunteers are friendly and welcoming. Some of my favorites were going to the gun shop and seeing historic guns, going into different houses and seeing the gadgets and tools people used back then, and learning about the important people of Greeley. By the way, the village is 8 acres- Be ready to walk a lot!
