This company practices predatory towing & price gouging. It is a criminal organization in the guise of a towing company. They are currently in arbitration with a major insurance company regarding the price gouging of a local car dealership. They have no office, their phone number is a burner cell phone. They only have a shady parking lot in a bad part of town. They won't return your calls unless you block your number, or they are unreasonably late by multiple hours to meet with you. That's so that they can charge you extra for holding the property they stole from you. That's just one of their scams. The other scam is charging fees for "dollies" that were never used, "cleaning fees" when no cleaning was done, forcing you to pay in cash, and giving you inadequate/fraudulent or completely blank receipts. They have propositioned at least one women for sex in order to release her property. The Pittsburgh Police have a large file of complaints against this company. I urge you to contact them. Yesterday I was stuck on Forbes Ave with my children in the car. I ran out of gas, I had no money, no one to help and was absolutely desperate. I sat there calling everyone I could think of and wasn't getting anywhere. I say in the middle of Forbes for 20 mins as everyone past me not offering to help. At this point I was hopeless until a Tag Tow Truck pulled up and asked if I needed help. I told him I was out of gas. He told me he could tow me up to the gas station a half mile up the street. He also asked me how much I could afford to pay for the tow. I told him my situation and said "don't worry I will take care of this for you miss please stop stressing I'm going to fix this for you" He helped me and my family into his truck (which was absolutely gorgeous I might add) that was brand new and very well kept. This gentleman carried my children into the tow truck while I got my purse and everything together. He then towed me to the gas station (at no charge) and put $15 into my tank for me. The most unprofessional people I ever encountered in Pittsburgh. You can do your job with out being a complete douche bag. For real I watched the same long hair ponytail man steal 1000.00 today from people. The lot next to the Mcdonalds in the stript is apparently owed by Mc ds and you are suppose to know this, when there are absolutely no posted signs on the whole entire wall of the brick building that the spaces are facing. The kick back that the owner is getting from this tow and take has got to be way better than what he is making at that gross dirty mc ds. As my daughter was video recording the lot and the wall he was busy towing another 2 cars as we watched them be bullied into giving him 250.00 cash to drop the car. Then to go pick up the car was a joke. the same rude driver was there to collect the money , only blessing was that he was not ripping off other people while he was having to drive back out to release my car. I was recently in an accident in Pittsburgh and I am from new York the guy from tag showed up to the accident towed my car and asked if I would like a ride home or to his shop for a rental car when we got there he helped with the insurance on the phone with me and I was afraid of just anyone working on my new Mercedes but once i saw there facility and the way they took care of me I knew my car was in safe hands they took care of everything and the kept in touch with me to tell me what was going on with my car the whole time and when I went and picked my car up omg it was like the day I bought it they had the inside and outside all shined up and cleaned a big thanks to everyone at tag thank you read more

Called my triple A due to getting stuck leaving the casino entering Rt .28 and needless to say 1hr went by and when I called they told me another hour possibly. So I googled towing companies and I called tag towing and told them my situation and the guy who answered at 230am I was aggravated and I might have been ignorant and he told me he was the owner and he would have a truck there in 30min tops and assured me they would be there and I'm not exactly sure the time it took but it was quick and needless to say triple a still wasn't there after they got my car on the flatbed. At first I was skeptical about letting them tow my vehicle after I was in a car accident because of things I've read on there reviews and what I was told by the police on scene I was in a tight spot so I let the driver Shawn tow my vehicle he was very kind he even drove me home that night and the next day I talked to the owner of the shop who had him tow a rental car to my house and had all the paperwork ready when he arrived my car was at there shop for about 3 week and when I went to pick it up they had even detailed the whole car it looked great hands down my new shop for anything I need they even helped me out and rotated my tires read more

Saturday night I backed my truck into a concrete block. A protruding bolt got caught on my bumper and had me stuck. I had my three young sons in the truck with me. A tag towing driver named Dewey came to help. Dewey went above and beyond in assisting us. He had my truck unstuck in a matter of minutes. Although that was wonderful, what really impressed me was the fact that he was more concerned with making sure that my son's and I were safe than making the extra buck. I was involved in an accident and tag towing was there before the police and fire truck arrived. They towed my car to their shop and told me they would help me fix my car. A short time later I received a call saying my car was fixed and I could go pick it up. I was amazed by the outstanding work I was provided with! Not only was the towing free, but I got my car back in better condition then when I bought it! I cannot recommend these guys enough! First off I would like to say that the experience I had this morning was a complete nightmare and the driver with tag towing made everything so much simpler for me I can not thank them enough. Tag towing was really great with me. After an accident, which totaled my car, I called the dispatch number and they were great. They had a driver out to me quickly and once there the driver quickly hooked my car up and was ready to go. With my car being totaled and needing a way to school and work, they gave me a rental car, and also helped handle the insurance stuff and dealt with the adjuster for me. They were all around great to me and treated me fairly, and I never had an issue getting a hold of someone with any questions! read more

Try them first!!!!! After 2 other towing companies said they were going to come help me and didn't show up, Tag Towing actually showed up! I'm a single mom and had my son in the car and had been stranded for 5 hours BEFORE Tag Towing was called! Mr. Allday actually had the courtesy to call me and show up when he said he was going to. He was polite, professional, personable, and knew what he was doing so he got me squared away in a timely manner. Predatory towing company. Will harass you and hold your vehicle hostage after doing the bare minimum to say they attempted to find an owner of the vehicle, then take it and hold you liable for their fees. They also tow cars from otherwise empty parking lots and threaten to call the cops if you refuse to allow them to take your car (get on top of it and STAY). The cops will tell them to let you move your own car. Predatory business. Two stars just for AAA fixing your bullshit. read more

Tag Towing is a great place to go to if you've gotten into a car accident, break down, or any kind of Accident. Nice respectful people that work there. They know what they are doing. They towed my car. The driver was at my destination within the hour and I'm from Mount Washington and my car was going to Baldwin. The prices are fair and acceptable. I had my truck with the hazards on and running only so I can move cones to park in front and move my equipment safely. I NEVER ;left from the street. and I turned around to see one of their damn tow trucks backing up to my vehicle.. This company needs to be dismantled they are pee-on's in the society. I Found myself in a horrible position after my vehicle was struck by someone in the last ice storm we had thank god the driver came and got me out of there because seconds later another car wrecked into a parked car where I was sitting. The driver even drove me home in the storm took great care of me and they handled everything with fixing my car back to new thanks ! I highly recommend these guys excellent work . read more

Great experience. I had the misfortune of being in an accident and a TAG towing truck showed up and asked me if I needed any help. The driver was kind and courteous and helped me through everything. After the police were through with their part TAG company repaired my vehichle and I was very satisfied and pleased with all of their services.
