    Chicken Vodka Slice
    Amy G.

Ordered a chicken vodka pie for delivery. I wasn't expecting the pie to be as heavy as it was when it was handed to me, even holding it with both hands I still had to be careful with its weight. That being said, I was full from half a slice. Other pizzerias I could easily eat 2, 3 slices at a time. So to me, this pie is absolutely worth the price as I have tons of leftovers for lunch & dinner the next few days!

The service here is excellent--they're always on top of things. My go-to is the truffle mushroom slice; the truffle flavor really comes through. Every other slice I've tried--though I can't remember all the names--has been equally delicious. The dining area is small, but manageable. I'll keep coming back just for that truffle slice. Recently, my son tried the chicken parm meal with penne in vodka sauce, and it was really tasty. They're generous with portions, too. Parking isn't an issue--there's a large lot on one side if the smaller area is full.

My Job treated for Pizzeria G, On 7/24/25. I tried the pepperoni and I must say, I would eat it again. The pepperoni was just the right amount of spicy not to overbearing. The sauce was spot on and the cheese was nice and cheesy. The place looks nice and clean when I went by after work.

Loved this place! I felt for a good brick oven slice and so my boyfriend and I went on google maps and saw this place had pretty good reviews. They have parking in both the front and back and the place is clean and spacious. There is also indoor and outdoor dining. The options were plentiful and all looked delicious! I went with chicken a La vodka (not pictured it looked so good I ate before the camera did, sorry!) and a grandmas slice and my bf with buffalo chicken and another I can't remember but it was all good. 10/10. The service there was also so great! They brought our food to us and asked us if we needed drinks. I also watched them clean a table outside as it had just rained for a couple that wanted to sit outside. I will definitely revisit.

I'd be lying if I said I knew about this pizzeria prior to Dave Portnoy's review but here we are! Went in to grab a pie for a guys night in and immediately my eye went to the "MVP Square Pie." (marinara, vodka and pesto). The medley of flavors in each bite were unreal and one of the best bites I've had in a long time in regards to pizza. Zero complaints throughout the room over the course of the night and by far that pie was the hit amongst all the food options. 100% would come back for that specific pie!

We were staying in the area for a wedding and needed a quick bite to eat for lunch. Pizzeria G hit the spot! Barstool gave them a 7.9 and I'd have to agree. We loved the regular cheese and pepperoni slices. The one that could've been better was the chicken parm slice - it was just ok. For four slices and two sodas our bill was a little over $40.

Love this place! Their penne a la vodka and salads are also amazing. And of course we love the cheese slice, pepperoni and the buffalo chicken pizza!

I ordered from here to give it a shot this past Friday night because it always looks crowded and is conveniently located right in the center of Garden City with easy parking. There is a bunch of outdoor dining for takeout eating which is convenient. I ordered online so I didn't have to wait for anything. The grandma vodka slice is good and flavorful. The mushroom truffle slice is also very good. The lemon arugula salad with grilled chicken was good and the portions generous, I just didn't like the dressing because I think it had some honey mustard which I'm not a fan of but my husband liked. Luckily they served it on the side. The staff was also friendly. I'll definitely be eating here again!

Friendly staff as always, got a selection to try a few and my feelings are the same. A good pizzeria with a large selection. Nothing blew me away, but everyone was satisfied. Only complaint was that everything seemed a little greasy today and I don't recall that last time I was here.

I was in the area for a training class and stopped in based on Portnoy's review. One bite 7.9 The pizza is solid. I especially liked the eggplant slice. It was tough to make a decision since they had so many choices between round pizzas and squares. Too bad I don't live in the area so I could try more of the slices. Good stuff.

Good Pizzeria. A lot of pizza choices. Plenty of seating indoor & out. Place was clean, and they took my order as soon as I entered. We'll definitely come back.

Clockwise: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Pepperoni, White, PPP, Sopressata & Hot Honey, burrata, gma vodka, sesame chicken.

By far one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Don't care for the giant slices but crust sauce cheese was perfect.

Also, they need to make some of the items on the catering menu available on the regular dinner menu. The fact that I can't order a side of penne alla vodka with a chicken parm plate is a bit ridiculous. If they had a larger menu, we would order from here with much greater frequency. But because the menu is so limited, we have no choice to order from the other place up the block on Mineola Blvd most of the time.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in every detail, and that carries straight through to the food. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The crust strikes that perfect balance--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, while the cheese is perfectly melted and generously layered without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and crafted with care. What really stood out was the consistency and attention to detail. Whether you're going classic or trying one of their specialty pies, the flavors are always spot on. You can tell this isn't just pizza--it's a passion. On top of that, the service is friendly, fast, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to--and recommend to everyone you know. Easily one of the best pizza spots around. Highly recommend.

The strategy here is simple. You order a pie--half pepperoni, half prosciutto. The prosciutto does exactly what it needs to do, but the pepperoni is the real headline act. It curls, it crisps, and it pools just enough oil to marry perfectly with a crust that achieves that rare, holy grail combination of thin, crispy, and subtly chewy. Dozens of pies later, it's still a ritual worth repeating. Food (4/5): The thin, crispy crust is the star of the show, and the pepperoni is dialed in to perfection every single time. Customer Service (4.25/5): Sharp and efficient. Decor (3.5/5): Unpretentious and classic. It carries that timeless, red-and-white checked tablecloth energy that focuses your attention exactly where it belongs: on the pie. Price: Around $17.50 per person. It is clean, well-ran, with just enough noise to be lively and fun without being overwhelming or deafening. The kitchen layout is visible to diners and it is always fun to watch how the pizza is made while you wait (but tortorous if you're starving!) The staff is super friendly and attentive from the moment you walk in until they wave you goodbye on the way out. The pizza is OUTSTANDING. They've mastered brick-oven style pizza. The mozzarella and parmesan are always fresh, the sauce is tangy and flavorful, and the crust is TEXTBOOK. As a non-crust eater the majority of the time, I find myself reaching over to my friends plates to do clean-up. Don't overlook any of the apps or calzones either. Things are super filling, however, so I recommend just splitting an order of spinach artichoke dip for the table while you wait for your pizza to arrive. Now being of legal drinking age, I understand why my parents would want a no-kids Grimaldi date time to time. The drinks are great and the bar atmosphere is a blast. I'd recommend checking out their seasonal cocktail specials. Pro-tip: Don't shy away from order a side of vodka sauce with your margherita pizza. Getting the vodka slice just won't hit as good. Also, definitely add the garlic, chili flakes, and extra parm from the shakers on each table to your slice. You don't NEED it per se, but it certainly does take things to the next level.

Sorry I won't sound that way in this review. I don't jump on YELP to review right away unless something's really got me irritated and fed-up. The Ambiance is basic pizza place IMHO.. Plenty of tables and space. I've eaten pizza and pasta dishes for at least 65 of my 70+ years on this earth and worked in a pizza place during the late 70s-early 80's and I KNOW my pizza AND pasta, especially the sauce. Today's baked ziti and baked stuffed shells was literally out of this world, meaning it tasted like it came from an alien, possibly one of those we've been hearing about on the MSM news. It Was HORRIBLE! No, I don't have pictures because I do NOT have a cell phone or a cam. My wife does but she is not home today. Trust me, I do NOT knock pizza places unless it is well deserved, like this place. This was the 3rd time I've tried this place. The 1st time I ordered the same as today. It was delicious. The 2nd time I ordered a round cheeses pie which was a bit too well done for me, so not satisfied. The very 1st time I had just a slice or 2 and was very satisfied, which is why I went back. Today, I'm sorry I decided to stop there. It's a total waste of $27 as I can't even eat this. It looks and tasted like leftover food from last night. The stuffed shells were way overcooked. So soft that when I attempted to transfer to a big bowl, they fell apart. Too soft and the "ricotta" was not creamy or melted. It looked like ricotta does when it's gone bad. I was afraid to eat it, THAT'S how bad it looked. I did TRY it along with the baked ziti, but not good at all. So, you might wonder how the baked ziti was? HA! NOT GOOD AT ALL! The ziti tasted as it looked. Overcooked. Some brown "burn" spots on the mozz, (very little cheese) and the same "expired looking" ricotta. I tried a couple fork fulls but it tasted burnt to me. well done, burnt and dry. Sorry guys but this was horrible and unacceptable. This was to be for my wife and me tonight. Now I'll just make my own, which I'm quite capable of and KNOW it will be edible and much much better than the garbage I was given today. I would call but the convo would not be pretty since I'm in a rotten mood, so I am just writing it here. I won't waste my time or gas in bringing it back. This place is NOT around the corner. I was just passing by again so I figured I'd get some hot food. I should've stuck with the pizza. I mean really; how do you screw up baked ziti and shells? There's 3 ingredients plus the pasta. The Ricotta HAD to be bad to begin with and then the overcooking it compounded it - or vice-versa. I hate throwing away food but this is going in the garbage AFTER I get my wife to take a couple pics. Both meals are in a big bowl, mixed together since the shells fell apart and I THOUGHT maybe the ziti could be salvaged using some of the sauce from the shells but even then, it tasted horrible. Obviously, Enzo's is off my fav. places to eat pizza/pasta list. It does take the #1 worst ziti and shells spot though. So bad I wouldn't even want another order if offered. I'll take the loss. It's not the first time I've wasted cash. Live and learn. Calda, Positano's, Sbarro's, Gino's and a couple other places nearer to me have yet to disappoint, so I'll stay with them. So now, having just wasted $27 and annoyed at that thoughh it could've been worse, I'm going to drink my blues away with a beer or 3 and then I'll feel better - or fall asleep in front of the TV. If my wife takes a picture and we can figured out how the heck to upload it from her phone, I'll do that as soon as possible. EDIT: The bread given with the meal was also hard and cold as if ( again ) it was leftover from yesterday or even before then. But from what I recall about the bread, it looks a lot better than it tastes. I'll be throwing that out too.

I probably could've (should've) only had the chicken barbecue ...it was super heavy and thicker than the standard slice. Somehow I managed to take one for the team and not have any leftover. Go figure. My colleague wolfed down his Sicilian slice and garlic knots. He was very happy. So many different options. I'd like to go back and try a few others.
