Located on seventh street, I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. I've ordered chicken vodka parm slices and pies in the past & the pie is much heavier to carry than most pies so that's definitely worth the cost. Went yesterday and got a vodka pasta slice and Caesar slice. Pizza is pretty good but I don't think I have ever been in store at any time of day when a pizza was just coming out of the oven. My ease is that they cook pretty much what they I tend to use for slices early in the day and just heat them up when customers come in. I always ask when I come in "what's hot" and it's never anything. I like pizza by the slice and there are plenty of establishments that cook their pizzas for slices throughout the day. The service here is excellent--they're always on top of things. My go-to is the truffle mushroom slice; the truffle flavor really comes through. Every other slice I've tried--though I can't remember all the names--has been equally delicious. The dining area is small, but manageable. I'll keep coming back just for that truffle slice. Loved this place! I felt for a good brick oven slice and so my boyfriend and I went on google maps and saw this place had pretty good reviews. They have parking in both the front and back and the place is clean and spacious. There is also indoor and outdoor dining. The options were plentiful and all looked delicious! I went with chicken a La vodka (not pictured it looked so good I ate before the camera did, sorry!) and a grandmas slice and my bf with buffalo chicken and another I can't remember but it was all good. 10/10. The service there was also so great! They brought our food to us and asked us if we needed drinks. My favorite slice is the Sesame Chicken so I ordered a whole pie for a family gathering, along with a few plain, upside down Grandma Vodka, Buffalo Chicken, a Portnoy...and Cesar Chicken Salad. I'd be lying if I said I knew about this pizzeria prior to Dave Portnoy's review but here we are! Went in to grab a pie for a guys night in and immediately my eye went to the "MVP Square Pie." (marinara, vodka and pesto). The medley of flavors in each bite were unreal and one of the best bites I've had in a long time in regards to pizza. There is a bunch of outdoor dining for takeout eating which is convenient. I ordered online so I didn't have to wait for anything. The grandma vodka slice is good and flavorful. The mushroom truffle slice is also very good. The lemon arugula salad with grilled chicken was good and the portions generous, I just didn't like the dressing because I think it had some honey mustard which I'm not a fan of but my husband liked. I stopped by this place today to get a slice. I walked in, looked in the case and stood at the counter waiting. I was the only one at the counter. All of the other customers were sitting down eating. One guy was preparing something but he turned around, looked at me and went back to his task. The other guy was standing at the counter on the other side, did not acknowledge me, just stood looking straight ahead. He saw me, just did not acknowledge. I waited a few and then I walked out. I was bothered because I did feel like it was because I didn't look like the other patrons. That was what I walked away feeling like unfortunately. Garden City now has a great pizza place! Take for example, yesterday a few of the guys brought in two speciality pizzas. One of them was my favorite, the grandma pizza. When we opened the boxes, all of us shed a small tear. From the crust to the fresh ingredients, this is one of the top artisan pizzas on Long Island. Me? When I go, I haven't tried anything else except the G Pizza. Made with fresh mozzarella, sauce and basil with an olive oil drizzle. Did I just describe heaven? This is a new pizzeria that opened on 7th street a few months ago with many different choices of pizzas, salads, and heros. Inside it is very modern and clean. There is also an outdoor area with tables and chairs. The staff were also very welcoming and very friendly. My husband and I had a Sesame Chicken slice and a Chicken Bruschetta slice. I liked how crunchy and thin the pizza was, but don't get me wrong it is heavy with toppings. The sauce on the sesame chicken slice was also very delicious. It had a little bit of a saltier taste, which to me really stood out and I didn't like that. I think my favorite was the grandma slice though, but still salty. The plain wings are pretty good though. Service and location were fine, its just like a pizzeria with seating. It's not an incredibly big place, but overall no complaints there. Tried the vodka grandma- it was just ok, which was surprising because vodka slices are usually my favorite. My son-in-law, an Italian Long Islander from birth, knows his pizza !! This restaurant specializes in what they call "specialty slices."
