I love this place. Ash was my hairstylist for the morning. She's so friendly. I just love her. She washed my hair, blew dry it and flat ironed it. She took her time with me. Higher management treats its employees terribly, my wife attended her haircut here recently and overheard abusive conduct from what seemed to be the head manager towards her staff. I have been to Taglio 2 x in the last few months. My hairdressers name is Alex. I let Alex know I wasn't ready for a cut or commitment to color. We decided on a toner. The toner that Alex mixed was perfect- exactly as the picture of what I wanted was. I went from an orangey blonde to a dark brown that let my highlights peep through. The toner stayed in for a month. I scheduled another appt. and we went for a dark brown with plum undertone. All I can say is my hair is healthy, shiny and, I trust Alex and the instructors on site with my frail hair! I got a cut and color. I asked for balayage highlights with a money piece to frame my face. The color is fine...not much of a difference, but honestly for $230 I'm SO disappointed in the results, especially the cut. I asked for face framing layers. The layer are so choppy... I ended up going to another salon to get it fixed, which resulted in chopping off another 4 inches of my hair to get it blended. Disappointed is an understatement. read more

Dang! I'm bummed. I relocated and needed a new salon. They are super convenient and it actually is a great looking salon. I was booked w Chloe for a root touch up. She asked if I wanted her to dry my hair. I asked if she could just rough dry it so I don't walk out dripping wet. She spent maybe 5-7 min rough drying it. No brush involved which was fine. I went to pay and was told it was $110. I asked how much was the root touch up. It was $60. So I asked why am I paying 110? The girl at the front said because she blew dry it. I said my roots are still wet and it was a rough dry. I asked the girl to go talk to Chloe. She said "well Chloe said she blow dried it." And wouldn't ask her. Oh and also, the girl said "do you want to leave a tip on your card because it's your first time? " I asked what does that have to do with it? She said they only accept cash tips for tax purposes but acted like they do a favor for first time customers. Huh? You should say that when I booked an appt. PS they didn't do a confirmation call. I called and left a message the day before trying to confirm it no return call. Chloe was sweet but the girl at the front desk was not customer focused. Bummer!! read more

I recently went to Taglio for the first time and had a really great experience! I decided to mess with my hair on my own because I've been running out of things to do in this pandemic. Big mistake. Luckily, a friend referred me to Hannah and she got it all straightened out. She even gave me a doggie bag of the color she used so I can refresh it at home. (I attempted to give myself green tips and got the bleach all over my hair) Debbie styled my hair and I couldn't be happier! I will be going back. Also if you're worried about Covid, guest were encouraged to use the hand sanitizer station and to wear masks. The staff was wearing masks and had their temps taken as soon as they get to work. This salon is prettttty EPIC! Master colorist/fashion colors - Hannah Hair cuts - Peter I'm not one to typically get my hair done. I go years without cutting my hair. But since I left the army, settled in Phoenix, and settled into my work from home job. I decided it's time to step out if my comfort zone. I have really bad social anxiety and get frazzled easily. So in 2020 I finally made the leap and booked with Hannah for a balayage. She was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, kind, and communicated really well. I brought in photos. Showed her what I liked. She asked what I liked about them and from that point forward she was my girl! Last year we started doing fashion colors! We did a beautiful pink first. And yesterday we did Purple!! These days I have created such trust with Hannah that I give her creative freedom. And boy was that I great choice! She goes above and beyond to make sure I know what's going on and that I love the result. She also has never forced product on me. That was honestly one of the main reasons I kept going back. A terrible salon with not real talented hairstylists, either. After spending a lot of money for my first visit, I rescheduled color -- only to have the color from hell next become what I was given. I saw no high-styling, great talent stylists or hair color artists. And all of this was done insulting to me the customer by saying they didn't think I was a good fit for their salon, so they weren't going to charge me, but I shouldn't come back. I had no intention of going back ever, but I felt badly for "Ash" who was left to blow-dry my hair. I was trying to calm her -- a cancer survivor that I would be fine, but I didn't know how she could work there, since she was such a nice person. Just because there is a beauty salon in Scottsdale on Mayo Blvd., does not make it a good one. Those kind go in and out all the time. And I'll be damned for that money if I would have to stare a concrete floors while my hair was being worked on. I say Taglio will be just a matter of time before it, too, disappears. Researched and found Tom because he was known as the person for short styles. Although I had been to this salon a few years ago, this was my first time seeing Tom. The reviews and recommendations were completely accurate. He is an artist and perfectionist! I went from long to short hair and LOVE it! I may even go a bit shorter as I get used to my new look. I have had my haircut and color here several times. I like the stylists I had, but I won't return due to the simple policy that they won't blow dry your hair without a huge up-charge to blow dry it. This includes just to simply check your color and make sure you like it. They literally send you out the door with soaking wet hair if you don't want to pay the crazy up charge to blow dry it. Hair salons should dry your hair as part of the overall service. Walking out with wet hair is not a great experience. The last time I went, I asked to blow dry my own hair so I could see the color and make sure I liked it. The stylist agreed and so I spent 20 min blow drying my own hair while she went on to her next appt. This isn't on the stylists, rather this is a salon policy that should be reconsidered. If you want the full salon experience then expect to pay a premium to have your hair dry and styled or select a different salon. read more

My daughter went in today and had specifically asked to go blond the girl talked her into full highlights which my daughter thought would still mean mostly blond, at the end she realized that her roots were not done. When asked why cause it didn't look good, the girl responded with some weird answer my daughters hair does no look good and she is not happy at all. I think if you cannot do what is requested you should explain it better to a 16 year old so she can go somewhere else and get what she wants.
