Unfortunately, this wasn't a great experience. I came in with a clear idea of what I wanted, but the stylist didn't really listen. I tried to explain it a couple times, but the final result was way off from what I asked for. The salon itself was clean and the staff was friendly, which I do appreciate--but the actual cut felt rushed and careless. It's frustrating when you leave a salon feeling like you have to wait for your hair to grow out just to fix it. I went to see Rachel twice. When I made the first appointment, I had asked the receptionist if she was experienced. She clearly is not. The first appointment went well. I obviously explained everything in great detail. When I went to my second appointment, she forgot everything about my hair and also completely ignored the things I told her that day. I had finally grown out my hair and had an all one length, blunt bob; which is the style right now. I asked her to clean it up and keep it very blunt. She decided to cut a bunch of choppy layers that resulted in a style that I don't believe has ever been popular. The layers are so odd and ugly that I have to curl my hair in order to hide them. I usually wear my hair straight most days so this is quite upsetting. Particularly frustrating is that I can't even wear a ponytail anymore because I have so many odd short layers now. I'm not even sure what one would call it other than straight-out-of-beauty-school horrible haircut. She also messed up my color and made it brassy which I had made it clear that I did not desire. I made sure to show her a picture before she did the color. When I let her know about the color and cut being a problem, I went back in there and she attempted to fix the color, but it's still orange at this point. I told her that I was in tears over my haircut because it's completely ruined and she did not offer to do anything with the haircut and proceeded to tell me I'd have to let it grow out for a while. Thanks, Captain obvious. Meanwhile, my hair looks like I went to Great Clips for the holidays. I have spoken to another stylist and they recommended taking it up an inch and a half to have it resemble a clean bob like it did in the past. I truly believe that this girl does not know how to cut hair. It is unbelievable that she is working there and charging that kind of money. read more

I showed her pictures of what I was looking for, how much time/ effort I typically put into styling my hair, and the last time I colored it. She took in all this information, explained what she could do and gave me some recommendations. 3ish hours later and I left 100000% happy. After my faithful stylist of 5+ years closed his doors, I dreaded the I idea of having someone else work with my hair. I have ridiculously thick and long hair, and almost every stylist I've seen throughout my life have had a habit of cutting my hair down to my shoulders despite my requests to keep it long. After a trusty recommendation from a friend and looking through stylist Katie C.'s Instagram photos of her past work, I decided to go all in for both a cut and baby balayage. The location itself is easily accessible for being in Old Town. The salon is beautiful and has incredible views if you're near a window looking toward Camelback Mountain. Katie and her assistant were not only incredibly sweet, but took the time to listen to me and understand what look I was going for. At the end of appointment, I was extremely happy about my hair. It was beyond what I was expecting, and I am so glad that I finally found another stylist who I can trust. I hate to leave a negative review because this salon seems so chic and professional. I can't speak to the other stylists, whom I'm sure are excellent, but my experience with Jen in particular was terrible. It was my first time coloring my hair. I wanted a transformation and I left my appointment with no noticeable change at all. I made another appointment with Jen to fix the issue, and again.... No noticeable change. I spent $360 in total for my friends, family, and coworkers to not notice any change at all. I tried to remedy the situation by calling Jen and she was very aggressive and defensive. She told me she can't help me, I won't get a refund, go find someone else and hung up the phone on me. I called the store manager who was nice but told me there was nothing she could do. I've been going to this salon since I moved to Phoenix about a year ago, and will continue to do so because the stylists are very talented. However, the front desk is a bit of a disaster. For example, Yesterday I had a 9am appointment. At 8:55am, I received a call that my appointment was cancelled but that I could reschedule with a different stylist for 10am. I said okay, but was slightly annoyed because I had to now waste time for an hour to wait for 10am, but whatever. At 10am I I check in; at 10:15 I ask for an update on how long I should still expect to wait. At around 10:30 I found out that the stylist I had been rescheduled with had never shown up (likely she was never informed that my appointment had been added to her schedule). At this point the receptionist was literally walking around the salon asking whoever she ran into if they could cut my hair. I said I will be quick and I don't even need a blow-out. So a stylist agreed to cut my hair, and she was lovely, and that was all fine, but I was a bit surprised to be charged the same amount for a cut with no blowout that I had paid in the past for a cut with a blowout. Why am I paying the same amount for less service? I will continue to go here because the stylists are great but I don't see it as professional of an establishment as I once did. read more

I recently got my hair colored and cut at Sachi and overall had an excellent experience. I had the old formula my colorist back in LA used and Eddie followed it to a T. At other salons, there was always a back and forth about what to do. He understood that this was the best way to get a color I liked and went with it. He is friendly but not overly talkative, which I appreciate. The prices were very fair for the services rendered. As for the salon experience, I appreciated that everyone there was wearing a mask, all the surfaces were wiped down regularly with disinfectant and they had installed clear plastic barriers between stations. I used to get my eyebrows done in Mesa whenever I was in town and the woman who does my eyebrows let me know that she had moved salons to Scottsdale. It's a little farther from where my fiancé's family lives, but I love the way she does my eyebrows so my fiancé's mother (who also used to get her brows done in Mesa) and I traveled to Sachi Salon in Scottsdale to follow her to the new salon. We were able to make an appointment ahead of time, and we arrived about 10 minutes early. It is a bigger salon with two levels. The top level is where you check in and where you can purchase hair and beauty products as well as there is a small area where you can buy accessories from a vendor who I am assuming rents their space there. If you walk further into the salon on the first level, that is where the hair salon is. I poked my nose in and it looked really lovely. They are doing construction to open up another room to maximize the space there. They were completely packed on a Sunday. They had coffee and pastries out for their guests which I thought was it was a nice touch. There are stairs or an elevator available to take you to the bottom level, which is where everybody runs their spaces. There are a few different businesses there such as: waxing, eyebrows, classes, etc. It's really great way for an individual to rent space and run their own businesses out of an already existing salon. I thought it was a great idea. My girl, specifically is Rema. I highly recommend her services. She does microblading, threading, and teaches classes! I would head to Sachi Salon and make your appointment with Rema, as well as checking out the rest of the salon. read more

I seriously cannot begin to explain how thrilled I am that I tried Sachi salon for the first time today. After doing my research, I decided to put the fate of my damaged, over processed locks in the hands of Jay R and thank god I did! I've lived in Arizona for 5 years now but I am originally from New Jersey where going to salons is a sacred, upscale experience. Unlike in the valley for the most part, back East when you pay top dollar at a salon, you get top dollar results. In Arizona it seemed like every beauty school graduate with a chair at a salon called themselves a master stylist/colorist but i'd end up leaving with worst hair then before I sat down while still paying way to much to be so unhappy. At Sachi in the hands of Jay I was THRILLED to pay $$$ and was almost shocked it was not more because I loved everything about today and the results so much! From the second I met Jay and showed him an idea of what I was hoping for despite my overwhelming hair damage, he instantly made me feel comfortable. His overall knowledge, skills and obvious passion for what he is doing, especially with my color, is something i'm so lucky to have found in a desert full of upscale salon wannabes. I was able to do what i've never be able to do in a salon in Arizona before today, RELAX and leave happy! Sachi salon is the real deal and I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence like I was. You get what you pay for. While some may look at Sachi as overpriced, you will never be disappointed with your hair color, highlights, cut or style! I admit, it's an investment to maintain my mane, but I never feel better than when I leave the salon. This, of course, is because of my amazing hairstylist Olimpia. It's always such a pleasure having the opportunity to catch up with her. I have long hair so my appointments tend to be about 2 hours from start to finish, allowing us time to chat about family and things that have been going on. It's so great to have a hairstylist who I can have a conversation with and be super excited about the softness and great color of my hair. In regards to the actual salon, it's beautiful and is bustling with lovely ladies and gents getting ready for their holiday events. My hair was always difficult for any hair stylist to deal with because it's thick and doesn't pick up color well. So, of course I was skeptical to go blonde but I also wanted change. I didn't go to Sachi at first. I went through three lightening processes with another stylist at another salon. Then, within a month my hair went from a nice blonde to a brassy orange color. Thats when I went to Sachi. I didn't go in with high expectations that my hair was gonna come out exactly how I wanted it because of my past experiences and knowing how my hair was. TAWNI was my hairstylist. She worked wonders and exceeded my expectations! She toned my hair to take out the brassiness then colored it rose gold (see picture). I received so many compliments. She even hooked me up with a deep conditioning treatment so that my damaged hair could look healthy again. Getting my hair colored perfectly wasn't the only thing that made Tawni an amazing hairstylist. She's constantly making sure that you're comfortable throughout the whole process and consulting with you with every decision. Her bubbly personality also makes the time not an awkward one but one filled with good conversations. I found out she also did lash extensions so I booked an appointment for that as well and never had a problem with my lashes. They come out full and even, exactly how I want them each time I go in for a fill. She does lashes in her clean, cozy apartment living room on a lash/massage table. Scarlett is a master at transforming dark hair into light hair - without brass or warmth' I'm still happily shocked! She got me and what I wanted at first attempt. I showed her a pic and she fulfilled my wish. She is the first stylist I have gone to who didn't tell me I'd have to go "thru" warm tones to get to blonder tones. She successfully and safely lightened my super colored dark coarse hair! My first time at Salon- I looked at the stylist profiles online and found Scarlett. I chose her because she has experience from LA salons ( I figure the more experience, the better ) and her Instagram photos were exactly what I was looking for. I went to this hair salon because they listed they had great prices and results. I paid $250 BEFORE tip for PARTIAL highlight, NO CUT. It would have cost me almost $600 for a full highlight?? My hair also has never been so brassy which means the dye wasn't left on my head long enough. I have had to do purple masks on my head every other day because of the brassiness. Service was nice, staff was nice. But I will never go back because of the price and results. I recommend they change their starting pricing page on their website. read more
