I also informed her that I have had problems sleeping through the night for many years. Since I had been taking Motrin for so long with frequent back spasm spells that would lay me up for several days every couple of months, I did not have high expectations. I also did not have any expectation of improved sleep since I was already taking melatonin to help with falling asleep. My goal was merely to reduce my lower back pain from 9-10 to a more tolerable level (and appease my wife...). After the first visit, I immediately noticed that I was able to fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer throughout the night and I actually woke up feeling rested.
