Everyone was very sweet. Something to note though, theres currently only 3 people working; as they just re-opened. Walk-ins may be a little hard to do, so I suggest making an appointment like my mom and I did. While getting my nails done, there's a couple things I want to note so I made a list. - Before they were ready for us, they sat us down and asked if we wanted some water. I have never been asked if I wanted water. It was very sweet of them to ask while we were waiting. - I was nicked with the drill. She immediately asked if I was okay and apologized. I don't see this as a big deal but if this is something that is to you, just be aware. I was also shaking my leg so it may also just be on me. - While painting the stars on my nails, she really took the time to make them as good as she could. She restarted if she thought it didn't look right. I appreciate the effort and time she took to make sure my nails came out as good as she could make them. - I read about free shoulder massages in the reviews and I thought there was no way they did that, but while my hands were drying for the final time, she came around and did my shoulders. It was a solid one too, she really put effort into that aswell. - After my hands were dried, she put on oil and lotion and i also got a little hand massage too. Nice little surprise, definitely wasn't expecting a hand massage as well as a shoulder massage. I will note there were other people while my mom and I were there and the two ladies bounced between people, making sure everyone is getting tended to, they definitely work hard. If you like having the same person throughout the appointment, I would wait until they hire more people to go. I myself don't see this as a problem. I met with Martha and discussed what I wanted and my problem areas. As I asked, she stayed within my pain range; only going beyond to work out any referred pain areas. I am not someone who gets a massage for the relaxation benefits you might get from a Swedish massage, for example. I strictly use massage for pain management, soft tissue therapy, and trigger point therapy. Often the massage itself is uncomfortable but the end results are worth it. Martha is very skilled at finding and releasing trigger points, particularly in the neck and occipital range. I like her very much as a person; she is calm and conscientious, and this translates through in the therapy she provides. I cannot remember the name of the other girl I went to when Martha was out of town, but she also did a good job...I'm pretty confident all of the therapists at TMAWH are excellent. HUGE bonus points that they are open seven days a week! It's usually pretty easy to get an appointment (although securing a same-day appointment is rare unless there is a cancellation). The location is good, easy to find, ample parking, and the little office itself is exactly as a massage place should be: low lighting, clean, quiet, and peaceful.
