I really wanted to have a good experience here because Rosie was able to fit me in on short notice before my sister's wedding, which I definitely appreciated. I paid $95 to have my bridesmaid dress altered (which was $99 on the website) within 3 days after gaining a little weight and needing a quick fix. She mentioned taking inches off the bottom, but the dress looked the exact same length, and it was still extremely tight barely any looser at all. Even my boyfriend and best friend both questioned whether much had actually been altered because there honestly wasn't much difference. The only thing that was different was the top neck clip that was looser which was good but the part i had issues with the waist and length seemed to be unchanged I will say she was kind and got it done quickly, which is why I'm giving 2 stars. She's probably very talented at what she does, but I think communication and making sure expectations are fully understood is really important here. Also, they don't take cards, which made payment difficult at the time. Looking back, I probably should've just expedited ordering a new dress instead. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Rosie's Tailor Shop in Estero. I was accidentally charged twice for a $90 alteration and brought in proof of the over payment when I had to bring back two pair of pants she poorly altered. I only asked for a simple refund of the $38 over payment. Instead, the owner became irate, raised her voice, shoved my receipts back at me refusing to look at them and then told me to leave the store. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but I was genuinely shocked by her lack of professionalism and simple courtesy when I tried to resolve the issue politely. I'm not upset about the $38, or even the poor quality job she performed-- that can happen too. It's the way I was treated that made the experience so unpleasant. I wonder if this store, which appears to have a loyal local clientele is even a properly licensed business. I hope this shop learns to handle customer concerns with a bit more patience and respect in the future. read more

my husband asked for no cuff when this tailor shortened his slacks, and there were cuffs when he picked them up because she said cuffs were better! He anlao needed a kilt taken in, and that did not go well. He gave up after she tried twice. I don't think it can be worn again. This tailor has done well on easy alterations, but I'm looking for someone else for special occasion clothing or complicated alterations. read more

For a simple prom dress hem on the phone I was quoted $50-80, in person she told us $145. This business walking in was dirty and the employees were rude and unprofessional. They made us uncomfortable and wasted our time, we won't be back. read more

Took him 10 pairs of shorts all I wanted was to hem them a little tighter around the leg. What I got back was a little tighter but also she shortened them. I didn't tell her to short them. Now I cannot wear these shorts because they're too short and we already paid $165 now I have to take her to court read more

I will learn how to sew before I ever recommend or use her service again. I was here on May 6, 2020. All I needed were two buttons sewen and a "G" clip added to a bathing suit strap. She lost my straps then she offered to make two more straps since she lost mine. Not a problem BUT she charges me for her huge mistake? Then she not only replaces something that never needed to be replaced she attaches plastic "G" clips to them not metal. Then while I'm waiting for her to figure things out another customer walks in returning something she picked up because Rosie gave her someone else's clothing. This lady, Rosie looks and acts like a chicken with no head and that should have been my first sign to not deal with a scatterbrain like her. The fact that she charged me anything for replacing something she lost is unbelievable and not acceptable. So, do yourself a favor learn how to sew or find yourself a better tailor she is not worth anything. read more
