It's hard to know what to say... It was one of the few options and the yelp reviews weren't terrible. It's a joins the gas station, and you actually use the gas station restrooms. The service was just friendly enough I suppose. Fairly slow for only having two tables to wait. Both my silverware and coffee cup was dirty. Best part was I didn't know the cup was dirty until I drank the coffee out of the cup. Food was decent. read more

This place is not busy at all, there's two women who work here & one of them doesn't seem to ever help out, the other one who is the main waitress DOES NOT know how to take an order or accountability for messing up an order. Two stars because the staff were friendly but not very organized is all. It was a Sunday and they have maybe one and a half waitress working... We waited whole hour for our chicken steak and biscuits and gravy. (So as other groups seems like) Chicken steak is fine, but gravy is super salty... But we were impressed by how the cook was able to flip the raw egg on both side.. (my eggs over easy came out raw/clear ... I am not usually super critical of restaurant ya, especially in this pandemic world we live in, but this place is just not it. Let's start from the beginning...went in on Friday morning for breakfast. They were closed. Supposed to be open, but whatever. We decided to try again on Saturday morning. My wife called ahead to check and see if they were open, and received a very snarky, annoyed response from the lady who answered. We should have taken that as a sign. We get there and the waitress was actually really nice (must have been the angry-looking, glowering woman behind the bar my wife spoke to). We order two helpings of biscuits and gravy. To say this is the worst biscuits and gravy I have ever had would be an understatement. The biscuits were DRY and crumbly. Most likely made three days ago and have been sitting out. The gravy was barely warm, and almost sour tasting. Coffee was decent though. If you are on the road and heading towards Glenwood, save your money and stop at Order Up in Rifle or the Lazy Bear in New Castle. If you're headed the other way, there are plenty of food stops in Grand Junction. Never again. read more

The service was great and the staff is friendly and efficient and the decor is homey and welcoming. Biscuits and gravy are one of my top five favorite foods so that was my immediate choice when ordering. I was a bit disappointed at the biscuits themselves; they were very hard and difficult to eat. However, the gravy, over easy eggs and hash browns were on point and were the reason I wasn't too bothered by the biscuits. One thing I pay attention to, is my utensils and cups and my cup still had someone's lipstick on the rim, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I had to refuel on a long road trip and this place was connected to the gas station/convenience store. The place was clean and I was their only patron at the time. I ordered the club sandwich on whole wheat with a side of Cole slaw. The sandwich was ok but the slaw was not so good with big pieces of cabbage and big shaving of carrot with some sauce on top. I like to support local businesses when I can so I am glad I stopped for a bite but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. We honestly found this place because all other fast food chains near by were closed. We were thankful because they did not disappoint! We arrived at closing time, the cook was kind enough to open his kitchen back up and make my party of five some good food! We had the club sandwich and chicken tenders meals for us all, BOTH were very good! Club sandwich had good flavor to it, the bacon was on point! Chicken tenders were huge! I know there aren't a lot of restaurant options here in parachute but if you are looking for a mom and pop breakfast joint for a lazy weekend you have found the right place. Food quality is varied but decent. My first experience had some awful biscuits but they were much better the second time so order of biscuits and gravy at your own discretion. My favorite here has been the French toast which comes with spectacular bacon. The waitress was really sweet about making me my own pot of decaf coffee since I was the only person all day who needed decaf and she supplied my husband and I with more than enough creamer which is rare for a breakfast place. They have a bar and karaoke Thursday nights I think and some vintage video games like Mrs. Pac-Man. All in all a pretty fun rainy day cozy breakfast place. read more

Was a little worried when we heard the cook say "which batter do I use?" The waitress got her straightened out and the waffles came out fine.
