Tandoor Shrimp with green mint sauce and garlic Cheese Mozzarella Naan

Another excellent meal! Had the Tandoori shrimp. Came with 8 pieces of good size shrimp. Cooked perfectly and flavored wonderfully. Service is always great. I really don't understand why you have not tried this place in Conway. Next time you are trying to decide which chicken strip, burger, or Mexican food joint to go to- again, go try Taj Mahal. Sure you don't know anything about Indian Food. I didn't either. Start with the Butter Chicken for your first time. Heat level ranges from almost none to Indian Hot. Mild or "American" spice is the middle ground (makes my nose run). It is good to go with friends and each order something different and share. That allows you to taste more than one item. I guarantee they will all have flavor that will make you say- "I can't believe I haven't tried this before".

Saag paneer lunch bowl with rosemary naan. Yum!!!!

My hubby and I thought we'd try Taj Mahal because we were craving good Indian food. We were not disappointed!!! I had saag paneer lunch bowl with rosemary naan. My husband had the chicken tikka masala lunch bowl with garlic naan. The flavored naans had an up charge on the lunch bowls. (I like the fact the menu reflected the additional charge because I've had to places where the server "forgot" to mention an additional charge until I ask about the additional charges on the bill.) We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened. The place was quiet. The ambient music was at a volume that added to the experience.... And you and your table mates could have a nice conversation. The saag paneer was creamy and delicious. The well portioned salad was fresh and tasty. The naan had the perfect amount of rosemary. My husband's chicken tikka masala's sauce had a bit more tomato taste than others we've had. The spices balanced the sauce well. "Heat" was exactly right. So thumbs up for this unique sauce. The cucumber salad tasted freshly cut. We will be back to Taj Mahal.

Both goat curry and fish masala were medium and very tasty. Not too spicy but had a slight kick. I love that Taj Mahal always has fresh ingredients.

Chicken Tikka Masala (tomato flavor - not spicy for a baby) and a coconut naan (with dried fruits and nuts)

Nice ambiance and great food with friendly service! I'm a huge addict to Indian food and this place has been saving me from my cravings. Highly recommend chicken korma (sweet coconut flavor) and butter chicken. Chicken tikka masala has more tomato flavor than I'm used to, but my baby loved it. Oh, and the coconut naan was our family's favorite! A server named Patrick was very friendly and professional and I thought he was the owner! Shows the ownership of everyone who works there and it's amazing. Everyone, please go try so they can start their buffet too

The first thing we noticed upon entry was the tasteful interior, and our server greeted us as soon as we entered and made sure we had fresh water. First to arrive was the Gobi Manchurian, and it's the best in town. NOTE: If you have not tried this slice of heaven, PLEASE try it. simply amazing I also ordered the chicken lollipop Masala, and it was perfectly cooked, tender, and the sauce was lovely. My wife ordered the Chicken Biryani(medium) and the Lamb Vindaloo for me. My wife enjoyed her Briyani, and I was excited to see what the kitchen would prepare. NOTE: I enjoy flavor and spice, so I ordered my Vindaloo "crazy hot", and my server asked if I was sure. I must add that I have requested Indian food in his manner many times before, only to receive food with the spice level of Wonder Bread. Namaste is different! I got the food I asked for. We asked for a to go box and the server asked if we would like a cup of ice cream NOT would you like a dessert menu so assuming since it's soft serve and the way he asked we figured oh it's a small cup it's on the house .... that was a mistake Check came and there was an almost $14.00 charge I didn't recognize. I inquired he said ice cream. Well in my surprise and extra self that I am I DRAMATICALLY exclaimed for that little cup of melted ice cream. He turned and walked away ‍. I could have paid that AND less for an "authentic" Indian dessert. And ice cream isn't even on the menu... what a rip off!!!!! So just beware if they ask if you want ice cream just know you can get better at DQ and cheaper for that size they give you at the restaurant.

Even so, when the house special lentil soup arrived, I wasn't impressed. It wasn't tremendously flavorful, with a hint of lemon but not the level of spice I would have expected. However, when my okra arrived, I was quite impressed. I ordered it because the menu promised pomegranate and fenugreek seeds, the sort of combination that if I tried to cook with I think I'd fail, but the weird and interesting clash of flavors was highly effective. The high spice level I asked for burned throughout. Strangely, dosas (crepes) are featured heavily on their marketing, but on their website were buried in a "special menu" which I didn't get in person. Having had a dosa the day before, I didn't push the issue. But between this and the Indo-Chinese dishes they offer, you can definitely find some interesting food here.

I really loved the naan. Better than Taj Mahal. -5/5 Curry could use some work. It looked like baby... yeah. Felt like it was old reheated curry or curry that's been sitting for too long. Anyways it was good but didn't stand out very much. Honestly tasted similar to one another and we got two different types of curry and meat. Within 20 minutes it began curdling and the oil started separating. I don't like that. Price was okay.. Everything is pretty much 14.99-16.99. -1.5/5 Ambiance was nice. It was nice and fancy but the incense was so bad. I had to go home because my head started hurting and my tummy started hurting too. It didn't help that we were sitting next to it as well... -1.5/5 Total spent: 60$ / 53$ price / 7$ tip Edit: We came at 4:53 pm and got food at 5:17 pm. Finished at 5:43 pm... Seems like they didn't cook the curry within those 15 minutes and just used an old pot of it. :/

I loved how there was so much sauce as well: the picture doesn't look like much but once you mix up the rice and the vindaloo, you'll see how delicious it looks too. They take classic Indian dishes and remix them with other favored cuisines in a way that's exciting, bold, and absolutely delicious. My go-to? The shrimp currito--a perfect fusion of Indian spices wrapped in a burrito. The flavors are rich, the shrimp is always cooked just right, and every bite is divine. I also love the veggie gyros. And let's talk about the salmon options! Whether you get it in a vindaloo or tikka masala, the fish is perfectly tender, coated in rich, flavorful sauce, and absolutely hits the spot.
