We used to be loyal customers at Al Basha for years, but recent political displays there prompted my family to look for a new go-to spot. We are so glad we made the switch. The food and atmosphere at Dervish exceeded our expectations, and this is officially our new favorite restaurant in Wayne. Highly recommended!

We've gotten their mixed platters (for 2 and for 4 in a bigger party) which always includes lamb chops, chicken chops, doner, shish kebab, chicken kebab, Adana and a Turkish meatball alongside rice/bulgur and cheesy bread, red cabbage pickle, and salad. Always fantastic with meats cooked to utter perfection. We've also tried the yogurtlu doner with tomato sauce which is solid, but not my fav. Shepherds salad seems unassuming but is FANTASTIC. Hummus is mid-tier but passable. Adana Kebab is absolute perfection and a little spicy and delivers very well too. We also tried their onion kofte kebab special which I wasn't sure about at first since I'm not a huge fan of lamb that tastes like lamb but it grew on me fast -- a little sweet and sour, tangy, and extremely rich from the fattiness in the meatballs. Truly a perfect plate, though perhaps not everyone's cup of tea. The service is always attentive and not overbearing. The restaurant is massive, clean, and always has patrons -- very cute interior and lots of booth options (yay!) Desserts are solid though I feel they are a touch overpriced. I enjoyed the ice cream and the lava cake. Dervish has become a staple in our comfort food rotation.

Easy to find right off of Rt 287 and plenty of parking in the back. Avgolemono soup to start was loaded with chicken, and the soup itself was delicious (shh...better than my Mom's when I was a kid - she's now 91. Please don't tell her and break her heart). The crab cake was, no lie, ENTIRELY, made of crab. Amazing! The veggie chip appetizer was also amazing - large thin crisps, not greasy and so good! 3rd starter was their beet salad - so refreshing. If you're not a huge beet lover (I'm not) try it anyway - the earthiness of the beets are mellowed quite a bit and blend nicely with the dressing, tomatoes and feta. For dinner, I had the half-chicken meal - the chicken was excellent with a flavorful lemon sauce and perfectly buttery creamy mashed potatoes. Wow! My wife had the shrimp with pasta - shrimp were huge, sauce well balanced with the pasta and shrimp. Our friends had fish specials - one coated in pistachio and the other a healthy portion of halibut. Both were very pleased with their dishes. For dessert, the pistachio tartufo was great, and my kataifi ekmek was very delicious. Oh - and cocktails were well made. Definitely coming back to Krios! Staff is wonderful! "Krios" in Greek can mean "Main", "Dominant"...you get the idea. Proper name given this meal tonight dominated for sure! Be sure to give them a try !!

The menu is incredibly diverse, offering an excellent selection of pasta, seafood, chicken, and steak. The food is beautifully prepared. The lemon lobster ravioli was cooked to perfection with an outrageously delicious, perfectly balanced zesty lemon flavor. Even better was the Tartufo Risotto with black truffle--the rich flavor profile was incredible and prepared flawlessly. For dessert, the homemade pistachio cheesecake was decadent, velvety smooth, and packed with creamy flavor. We also loved the extra special Banana Strawberry Flambé, which was prepared tableside right in the intimate dining room for everyone to see! Our service team, led by Blendi, was on top of everything. They were incredibly attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. With great food, sharp service, and very decent pricing, this restaurant is highly recommended. It is an easy 5-minute drive right off Route 287. There is a small parking lot in the rear, plus plenty of local neighborhood and street parking. Reservations are recommended but not required. We will definitely be back!

From the moment you arrive, everything is exceptional. Parking is plentiful, which is always a plus. The restaurant itself is stunning, with beautiful colors and an atmosphere that truly makes you feel like you've been transported to Greece. The service is equally impressive! From the warm welcome at the hostess stand to the attentive and knowledgeable servers. For appetizers, we've tried the octopus, roasted beets, and the lobster gyros. Every dish was outstanding. As someone who loves octopus, I was surprised that the lobster gyros completely stole the show. The flavors were incredibly unique, and every bite was absolute perfection. The seafood here is cooked beautifully. We've had the Lavraki, Tsipoura, and Dover sole, and each one was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. If you're a fan of branzino, I highly recommend trying the Lavraki. The lamb is also fantastic and definitely worth ordering. For dessert, we've only ever ordered the Loukoumades because I just can't bring myself to choose anything else. These golden, crispy dough balls are soaked in a luscious homemade honey syrup and are simply irresistible. When you find perfection, why change it? (I love textures and this dessert give you that) Naxos delivers on every level, food, atmosphere, and service. It's one of those rare restaurants that exceeds expectations every single time, and I can't wait to keep coming back because its so hard to find this level of perfection.

While seemingly just another steakhouse, it is more. It evidences a decidedly Greek flare and must be run by a Greek family based on several menu items, such as the salad types, use of feta, seafood influences, lemon potatoes, etc. They are not BYOB. Most NJ steakhouses are not. They have a decent and not extravagantly priced wine list with several offerings by the glass. The group started with a variety of cocktails, all of which satisfied and were typically priced for today's environment. Only one glass of wine was ordered, a decent pour of Quilt Cabernet at $25. There were a variety of appetizers ordered, including lobster bisque, crab cakes, tuna tartare, and shrimp arrabbiata. All were top-notch and may have overshadowed the main courses. The main courses were the smaller filet mignon, penne with a chicken filet added, lobster and crab ravioli, and the angry lobster. These were all delicious, but here is where there was a hiccup. There were two lobster offerings that were similarly priced and similarly represented to be based on 1 1/2 pounds of lobster. One was Angry Lobster over linguine and the other was grilled with an asparagus side. While the Angry Lobster over linguine was ordered, a dish that should have had some spiciness as the name indicates, the other lobster dish was brought to the table, the one that was the grilled version with asparagus. When the wait staff was confronted with this error, they at first tried to argue they had actually presented the correct dish. That alone was frankly unforgivable. Really? Admit the error, apologize, fix it, and do it quickly, as everyone else's mains were now on the table. They ultimately took it back and returned with the Angry Lobster. However, not only was it a pretty muted version of spiciness, it was also missing much of the 1 1/2 pounds of lobster. Pretty shameful after first trying to claim the incorrect dish was correct. At least when called on it, the management offered free desserts for the table. However at that point we were not only deflated from this clumsy handling of the lobster entree and just not in the mood, but also pretty full, it was declined. Instead they took 10% off the bill. I thought they simply should have not charged for the lobster, but a 10% discount was about 75% the cost of the lobster and deemed good enough, rather than have a further debate on the matter. With the tip of a now standard base of 18%, which given the screwup seemed more than fair, and the 10% discount, the meal averaged over $100 per person at the table. Pretty typical or even on the low side for a non-BYOB and upscale restaurant.
