First impression? It definitely gives off biker bar vibes from the outside, but once you step inside, it's way more welcoming and laid back than you'd expect. Good atmosphere, friendly people, and the kind of place that feels like a hidden local favorite. I ordered the Biker Burger, and it absolutely delivered. The burger was juicy, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and packed with great taste in every bite. You can tell they care more about making good food than trying to be fancy. If you're making the trip to Buc-ee's and want something local instead of chain fast food, Rip Rap Roadhouse is definitely worth the stop. Great burger, cool atmosphere, and one of those places you're happy you discovered by accident.

Classic tavern setting but great outside deck & patio. Room for live music and both bar & restaurant seating. Service is casual and friendly but efficient and smooth. Food is casual but barbecue and smoked wings are where it is at! Homemade kettle chips are good & the onion rings are real & crunchy! Beer is cold & plentiful, and the bar is stocked. When I am going from west to east or north to south, this and the Buckhorn Tavern are my two must haves! Highly recommend!

Beware: Hidden Fees, Credit Card Fraud, and Hostile Management…read more If you eat at Bunker's Sports Bar & Grill, pay very close attention to your receipt and check your bank statements afterward. This establishment relies on secret surcharges and deeply unethical and fraudulent billing practices. The most glaring examples are their undisclosed 3% "convenience fee" for paying with a credit card and a mandatory 18% automatic large-party gratuity. This means a staggering 21% in hidden fees is quietly added to your check so the restaurant can subsidize their payroll and standard payment processing costs. The vast majority of restaurants accept employee wages and processing fees as a normal cost of doing business and price their menus transparently, but Bunkers chooses to nickel-and-dime its customers instead. There is absolutely zero disclosure of either this 3% penalty fee or the 18% gratuity on their front doors, printed menus, or general website. Even more deceptively, their website has a dedicated page and contact form specifically for booking large groups, yet they still completely fail to mention the mandatory 18% service charge for parties of eight or more anywhere on it. You are completely ambushed by these hidden fees only when the bill arrives. During my recent visit, our party received incredibly slow, substandard service. Before our food even came out, we had to track down our server, Kira, to ask where it was and why it was taking so long. When the check finally arrived, I was blindsided by both the undisclosed 18% gratuity and the 3% credit card fee. Before handing over my credit card, I told Kira that I wanted to adjust the gratuity due to the service. She explicitly told me that was no problem and promised that once she swiped my card, the system would give me the opportunity to adjust it. I handed her my card in good faith. However, when she brought the final slip back, she had already run it for the higher amount and the receipt only gave me the option to leave an additional tip on top of the 18% they were trying to force on me. I crossed out their forced amount, wrote $0 on the tip line, and physically signed authorizing a final total of exactly $26.21 to not include any gratuity. I safely took a photo of this signed authorization before leaving. Despite having my clearly signed receipt in their possession, whoever operated their system committed credit card fraud by deliberately overriding my written authorization and manually keying in the higher amount of $30.46 anyway. My credit card company promptly investigated and, through my overwhelming evidence, ruled in my favor for the disputed amount. However, the email response I received from the General Manager, Teresa Polli, was appalling. A normal hospitality manager would apologize for the substandard service, explain the situation, and try to make it right. Instead, she was instantly adversarial, opening her email with a cold "I am in receipt of your email". She never once apologized for the poor service, the deceptive server, or the fact that the amount submitted in their POS system was fraudulently altered to exceed what was explicitly written and signed for on my physical receipt. Instead, her email was clearly designed to put me in my place. She sent a hostile lecture claiming these automatic fees are intended to ensure her staff is "fairly compensated" because she only pays them $5.50 an hour. This argument is completely false and highly manipulative. Under Ohio law, tipped employees are legally guaranteed the standard minimum wage regardless of what tip is left. If a customer leaves a smaller tip due to poor service, the server is not shortchanged--the restaurant is simply legally required to make up the difference out of its own pocket. Management isn't enforcing these hidden fees to protect their staff; they are doing it to protect their own bottom line. They become hostile when a customer refuses to blindly subsidize their payroll because it means the business actually has to step up and pay its own employees. To top it all off, she arrogantly stated she was only refunding the unauthorized charge as a "gesture of goodwill" and explicitly pointed out that it was "not because we believe our policy was inappropriate". Management feels entitled to a massive tip regardless of service quality and operates using secret fees. Most disturbingly, the credit card fraud committed by Kira or whoever finalized the charge at the end of the night is vehemently defended all the way up to the General Manager, who made absolutely no apologies for the illegal override. They would rather be combative than practice basic customer service. Take your business to a local restaurant that actually values honest pricing and legal billing practices, and won't subject you to extremely hostile management.

Today we ordered the mixed family broasted chicken and no issue when we were told there woukd be a wait because we expect that because it is broasted. We were told when our order would be ready and we arrived a little early. Our order should be ready around 6 pm and we arrived at 5:50 pm. We phoned at 5:50 pm stating we wanted to inform them we we were ready in space 3 but were early. She stated she was bagging it up as we speak. Eleven minutes went by and no order. My husband walked in. Our order was setting there. The lady said I am not sure what happened your order is ready it has been setting there. My husband said we have been setting in spot 3 for 11 minutes waiting since we phoned and was told then she was bagging our order. She had no response and he walked out. We tipped $5 on the $30 to go order, come on now! I asked my husband to count the chicken it was all there then we drove home. The chicken was dry. In the past their broasted chicken has ALWAYS been good. This tasted old not fresh but yet it was hot however, not seasoned. The fries were as if they were at the bottom of the bag. Several small pieces versus the larger fries. I have never been served them when I have ate in their restaurant before. I thought that was odd. The coleslaw appeared to be days old. I was not impressed due to the taste of the food and lack of getting me my order on time. I will be choosing someplace else to spend by hard earned money. Too many disappointments here.

As two moms meeting for coffee with our young children, that atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, our experience in person was very different from what we expected. The space felt cold and industrial, with concrete floors, minimal décor, and very little to soften the noise. It was extremely echoey, and between the kitchen sounds and overall volume, it wasn't the comfortable environment we had hoped to spend time in with our babies. While there were couches and seating available, the overall setup felt more geared toward quick visits or takeout than relaxing and staying awhile. The coffee itself was good, and the menu offered plenty of interesting food and drink options. I can see how the space might appeal to someone looking for a quick coffee stop or a place to work on a laptop. However, the atmosphere wasn't inviting enough for us to want to stay, relax, or order anything additional. We were hoping for a cozy coffee shop experience, and the space simply didn't deliver that feeling. The biggest disappointment was the disconnect between the impression we got from social media and the actual experience of the space. Had we known what it was really like, we likely would have chosen a different location for our coffee meetup. Others may enjoy the industrial style, but families or friends looking for a warm, lounge-style coffee shop to settle into for a while may find the experience different than expected.
