I will say this place to me was just ok, my parents took me here and I had the country breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were not it for me. The gravy was very floury and did not have sausage in it as far as I could taste. The eggs were scrambled a little too hard and did not taste like they were salt or peppered. The home fries were good. The place was clean and had a very hometown vibe. The server was also very nice and timely. But the food was not the it for me.

With it being St. Patty's Day weekend, we needed to line our stomachs with some heavy food before the festivities begin. We opted to support a mom & pop family-style diner, and we instantly felt right at home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, exactly what you'd hope for in a comforting, home-cooked meal experience I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, which arrived hot, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. It paired wonderfully with delicious home fried potatoes and fluffy, buttery biscuits--truly the perfect hearty breakfast We also enjoyed the Belgian waffle topped generously with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was an absolute delight, tasting just like the funnel cakes you get at the fair--crispy, sweet, and utterly delicious. The side order of biscuits and gravy was equally impressive, rich and satisfying, rounding off our meal beautifully Special thanks to Sherri at the front door, who warmly greeted every guest with a smile, making us feel like family from the moment we stepped through the door. She puts the "F" in Family. We'll definitely be returning again!

Well.. George's has been on my list of places to try for quite some time. Finally up that way for a basketball game so stopped in to give it a try. A bit like walking into the past when you enter the building. Reminds me of the diners you'd go and eat at in the late 70's early 80's with tables with chairs and booths. The folks working here welcome you in as soon as the door closes behind you. You get the feeing like everybody knows everybody in here as they are all just so friendly. I ordered a burger and the lovely Mrs ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. They were both tasty but my burger was the winner. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a burger. Soft bun, thick, juicy, seasoned well and cooked to perfection(med-rare). I added onions rings for an additional $3.50 which was to me a bit steep for the number of rings that were plated but they were good nonetheless. Would I go back? Sure, if I'm in the area. I'd prolly try the pancakes as that appeared to be a very popular choice by other patrons. Gotta support the local mom and pops.

We stopped here for dinner because of the great reviews, and I'm glad we did. The restaurant has a family dinner feel and is very casual. They served diner style food, you could get anything from breakfast food to classic comfort foods. We started with an order of fried mushrooms. The mushrooms had a crispy fried outside that made them so good, and it was served with marinara, which was a nice touch. I got the country fried chicken for my entree. The steak with cooked perfectly and was smothered in gravy. I got it with the steak fries and salad which was a great combination.

5 outa 5 - again. What a great place! I had the Greek salad with chicken. It's a big, fresh salad with tomatoes, pepperonis peppers, onions and I added juicy grilled chicken. Nice! My son had the Greek omelet and he loved it too. Always great, we love George's!

Cabbage roll special

Tonight stopped by for dinner catching up with a cousin. Family run restaurant, George's serves breakfast all day. We started with fried mushrooms appetizer, my Dad had the cabbage roll special which comes with 2 sides-he had cottage cheese & mashed potatoes, my cousin had the braised pork chop and I had the inside out mushroom burger. The burger was cooked to order I o ordered medium, it was very juicy had mushrooms inside & outside the burger- one of the best burgers I've had in Dayton. Great service, everyone helping each other out. Wonderful time tonight & will be returning for breakfast soon.

Went with the boyfriend on a Sunday about 1 PM (they closed at 3) and the place was packed, people waiting outside for a table. You put your name in and cell # and they call when you're ready to be seated. Once seated, the waitress came over and took our orders. Took almost 30 minutes to get the food to the table and the waitress forgot many things. Cheese on top of fried potatoes and gravy, Syrup and butter for the french toast and apple butter for the boyfriend's toast. The food was really really tasty!! I got the French Toast Feast, with 2 eggs, polish sausage, fried potatoes with gravy and cheese. He got the Greek omelette, which he said was freaking amazing. We will for sure be coming back to try the dinner options, though they close at 8 PM, so an early dinner

First impression? It definitely gives off biker bar vibes from the outside, but once you step inside, it's way more welcoming and laid back than you'd expect. Good atmosphere, friendly people, and the kind of place that feels like a hidden local favorite. I ordered the Biker Burger, and it absolutely delivered. The burger was juicy, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and packed with great taste in every bite. You can tell they care more about making good food than trying to be fancy. If you're making the trip to Buc-ee's and want something local instead of chain fast food, Rip Rap Roadhouse is definitely worth the stop. Great burger, cool atmosphere, and one of those places you're happy you discovered by accident.

Classic tavern setting but great outside deck & patio. Room for live music and both bar & restaurant seating. Service is casual and friendly but efficient and smooth. Food is casual but barbecue and smoked wings are where it is at! Homemade kettle chips are good & the onion rings are real & crunchy! Beer is cold & plentiful, and the bar is stocked. When I am going from west to east or north to south, this and the Buckhorn Tavern are my two must haves! Highly recommend!

Their social media…read moreportrays a cozy, welcoming, family-friendly coffee shop with comfortable seating, signature drinks, and a great food menu. As two moms meeting for coffee with our young children, that atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately, our experience in person was very different from what we expected. The space felt cold and industrial, with concrete floors, minimal décor, and very little to soften the noise. It was extremely echoey, and between the kitchen sounds and overall volume, it wasn't the comfortable environment we had hoped to spend time in with our babies. While there were couches and seating available, the overall setup felt more geared toward quick visits or takeout than relaxing and staying awhile. The coffee itself was good, and the menu offered plenty of interesting food and drink options. I can see how the space might appeal to someone looking for a quick coffee stop or a place to work on a laptop. However, the atmosphere wasn't inviting enough for us to want to stay, relax, or order anything additional. We were hoping for a cozy coffee shop experience, and the space simply didn't deliver that feeling. The biggest disappointment was the disconnect between the impression we got from social media and the actual experience of the space. Had we known what it was really like, we likely would have chosen a different location for our coffee meetup. Others may enjoy the industrial style, but families or friends looking for a warm, lounge-style coffee shop to settle into for a while may find the experience different than expected.
