This needs to be a four star breakfast place. It's 4.6 on Google and it should be. The waitstaff is excellent, friendly and efficient. The food is excellent diner food - my chicken fried steak, gravy and my partner's veggie omelet were excellent. Pancake was great as well. Menu is varied and it's an excellent value. Save your money. I have been there several times and the first few times were good, but don't know what's going on now. Today I had the Western Omlette and I actually couldn't eat it. It tasted like they made it the day before and microwaved it until it was petrified. I also had the sausage links (at least that's what the menu said) which was also precooked and microwaved. They need to hire someone that knows how to cook and also someone that knows how to manage the place. I told the server about it when I paid and was offered no compensation of any kind. I will not be back and also I'd like to mention why place out menus on the table that the prices are not effective until 12:00 pm. Shame on you for not having any higher standard than this. I forgot to take photos because my entire family ate and enjoyed our time but for a small town restaurant, it was awesome. Prices were great for the food you get and it had that hometown charm that my teenagers loved. My 16 year old son had the eggs Benedict special and said it was great. My 17 year old so. Had the pancakes with sausage wrapped in them and again, no complaints. I had a standard breakfast and my husband had the country fried steak. One of the best he has had in his opinion. I've been here at least 10 times for Friday Grouper fried fish. It has been excellent until this last trip. I arrived and ordered all you can eat fish. 30 seconds later my first plate came out. They said I had good timing. The fish was warm not its usual very hot. I ate the first fillets and they brought me out 2 more. These were very hot. I finished my meal and drove 1/2 hour home. By the time I arrived I was already getting sick. Food poisoning, This is my second day sick. Just a word to the wise. If it's not real hot, it hasn't been held at the proper temperature. The service was awful. No smiles, sour expressions on all servers starting with the person who sat us. I told our waitress that I had stomach reduction surgery and asked if I could order off kids menu but she said I'd need to order ala carte which was fine. The problem is that I ordered an egg and grits and the grits (which weren't on the menu) came in a giant bowl and were about 3 cups. I was disappointed that the waitress didn't mention this to me after I shared my situation. She was terrible at customer service overall and this just clinched it. Food was average. Came here for breakfast with extended family. Small traditional outdated diner vibe on the inside with a bar seating, case for baked good, few tables and booths. Nowhere for large parties to sit all together (totally our fault) so we had to split up which was fine. Service was relatively quick as it was a busy Saturday morning. Food didn't take too long, but it was pretty terrible. Potatoes were crisp on the top but more along the lines of a glob of potatoes, eggs were bland and bacon wasn't crisp at all. Ordered wheat toast after it was offered, and after waiting for several minutes and the waitress saying they'd be bringing my wheat toast shortly, it ended up being white bread that they'd tried to burn enough that it looked like wheat. Family we were with enjoyed their pancakes a lot and there were mentions of their lunch having better options. Some long black hairs were found in others food. Love to eat at local places but will probably wait a while before we give legacy a chance to redeem themselves food wise. Service was great though. read more

Checked out the new location of Legacy Pancake house that opened last Thursday. Their old building burnt down last year and I was so happy to hear they found a new location. Even better, it's close to my house! We went in for dinner and had breakfast and it was just as delicious as their old location. They did a lot of work to the inside, everything was fresh and clean. Service was awesome! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and sat quickly. Food came quick & delicious! I came into the legacy pancake house for the second time this afternoon with my 15 month old daughter, friend, her 18 month old baby, and 8 year old son. The host had the nastiest attitude when we asked her to sit us at a larger table considering we needed two high chairs and 2.5 adults. She refused so and continued to put us in the back corner at a 4 person table. obviously that was not working well for us as we needed 2 high chairs and had absolutely no room. when our waitress came over she saw how much we were struggling and kindly moved us to a larger table without any trouble at all. let me mention here they were NOT busy. there were 4 other open tables around us. so as we continued on with our experience we got our food which was good and we had the most wonderful waitress we could ask for. I didn't grab her name but I know she has 5 kids of her own because she empathized with us over our kids....then...as I mentioned before there were multiple open tables...my friends 8 year old son sat at the table behind us without anything at the table but himself and his phone...no drink...no food...and the host came back AND YELLED AT US ABOUT IT!!! she told us "we were doing too much and that now we were taking up 3 tables instead of one!!!" I WAS SO BAFFLED. I have never in my whole life had someone be so rude and hateful to me at a restaurant in my whole life. I have enjoyed coming here but after this occurrence I do not think I will ever be returning. your other wait staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly. My husband and I didn't have a good experience. My husband got the western omelette. The omelette had very little ham. The cheese which should have been shredded cheddar. It was an American cheese slice. I had the biscuit and gravy. Very peaked biscuit and the gravy had a small amount of sausage and quite a bit of flour. It was just an over powering flavor of flour. Great place for a good breakfast. We were visiting Dayton for a Covid vaccine and stopped by to have brunch. Covid measures: They separated each booth with tall plastic walls and all working personnel was wearing masks. Even the cashier had her area closed with glass wall. Since they have a lot of elderly customers- I thought it was pretty nice. We ordered a full stack of pancakes and steak with eggs. Both meals with drinks came up to 28$ with tax - not bad at all. Food tasted good too - definitely better than breakfast chains like Waffle House. Nice quick diner for breakfast. One of the only ones open early in the morning in Dayton, unless you want Waffle House. We stopped in at 7am and it filled up pretty quickly with what appears to be regulars. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has all the appearances and feel of a 50s diner. They keep oldies music playing which was also nice. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 breakfast combo which includes two biscuits, topped with sausage gravy, hash browns (which resembles chopped potatoes) and two eggs cooked your way. It was pretty good--definitely not like my homemade sausage gravy but it wasn't runny or bland. Husband ordered French toast with bacon. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to snap a photo of our food because I was so hungry but presentation isn't really something you look for in a place like this one. My husband and I visited this place on a Sunday around 10. We were seated right away although the place was crowded. I was a little hesitant to try this place because the atmosphere and location was blah. I mean the location looks bad but this seems to be a local favorite. OMG we had so much food! My husband and I ordered the Vegas Special for 6.95. I was expecting a little bit of food but man we really could have shared 1 plate.
