I've had a membership for about a year with this place for the first six months of my membership and every time I came to this location the vacuums weren't working and now the issue is the towels were completely empty as well as the cleaner everybody was standing around, asking about towels and cleaner. The wash itself was fine but my front bumper was damaged after paying for the most expensive wash. The 2 guys there told me my car was safe to go in but my bumper was damaged at the end of the wash at the wheel cleaning part. They were nonchalant about it and even gave me a thumbs up it was okay but when I checked at the vacuum spot, it was clearly not okay. The site manager Erin, was not there at the time but is helpful to an extent. She was rude to me 3-4 weeks after the fact, following an update on a claim and it's delayed on their end for not following up with their claim agent from FleetRepsonse. Moral of the story - if your car is damaged here, their policy says they'll cover it but they are very difficult and reluctant! Good luck, do not recommend or coming back until I am reimbursed, satisfied, and customer service is better. read more

Literally so raggedy. Parts of the machine didn't even work when I went through. This place used to be good back in the day. The dryer didn't even dry my car. Members only club! They will not allow you to get the $10 or $16 wash. They said those options are only for members. First off, I get there and there was no attending so I purchased the $16 wash (the machine let me and there was no sign out). The guy runs out and tells me the machines aren't working at that price point but proceeded to tell me if I signed up for their membership I could get the $16 wash. (But I thought the machines weren't working at that price point?) So then I had to wait around for a refund because he refused to let me get the $16 wash even though I had already purchased it. They DO NOT want your business unless you are a member or purchase a $20 crappy wash. Avoid this place if you want to avoid being disappointed. I ended up going to another carwash in Grand Prairie where they were super friendly and I only paid $8. read more

I'm not sure why "car wash" is not on the list of "applicable services" but that is what I went to get. I bought the $5 car wash which says that it is a wash but with half the drying. When I finished the wash and went to vacuum my vehicle, I noticed that the back of my vehicle was not cleaned. I showed one of the workers and he said, "That's what you get for $5. It says that it's a rinse, not a wash. And you only get half the rinse...It's just a rinse for for example, like when it rains and you want to rinse the rain off...". None of it made no sense. I got a wash, not a rinse. And they used soap because I saw it. I tried tell him that but he got upset and rudely walked away from me after trying to argue with me. Mind you, this is after I paid the fee and gave him and the other guy a tip. Never again will I use this place. I've been going there every once in a while for years when it started off at $3 and have watched the service get worse and worse. The vacuums suction has gotten worse and worse over the years and the washes were getting worse, but my vehicle was at least washed. Now, you only get half of your vehicle washed???????? Wish you can give a minus star. My husband went to TAKE 5 CARWASH, CUSTER & 380, MCKINNEY. They had an issue and the car wash had to shut down while he was in it. The brush stopped on the hood of his car. When he exited he noticed circular scratches, where the brush stopped. When he approached the manager, which was a young kid, he took pictures and entered it as a claim. We heard from a site manager who said there is no way their brush could have caused the damage. We will never use this car wash again but if you do, beware! If you have an issue, they will not support it. After posting this on Nextdoor, we're not the only ones that had problems with with carwash. If you choose to use them, lots of luck. read more

UPDATED to 2 Stars: I have gone back to this location numerous times since purchasing my membership and it has been bad. I typically have to run a mildly dirty car through at least twice for it to even look like it kind of got washed. It misses lots of spots on my mid-sized SUV. Just went to this place today. Came out of the wash and vacuumed my truck before I was to wipe it down. When I was done vacuuming I went to the back of the truck to grab a rag and noticed my the back was still really dirty! I went to y'all to the manager and se if I could go through the wash again. The guy in charge said that they do not wash the back the when you buy the basic wash. I asked him what sense does that make to drive around with my truck only 75% washed. I proceeded to say I paid for a wash don't care if it was 6 dollars. I just need and light up wash and didn't need tire dressing. And the board doesn't even say they don't wash the back. i would not ever recommend this car wash to anyone. They are a scam and a ripoff. They charged my credit card multiple times. I've since then emailed them and tried contacting them through the phone. Unfortunately, no reply or response to resolve this issue. I've made many attempts to have this problem rectified, however, they stated they have no authority to do so. I would run far away from this car wash if I were you. They're not to be trusted with my money, credit card or car! Besides them charging my credit card multiple times, the car wash is crappy. Wrote a well-deserved negative review on March 28, 2023 of the Take 5 car wash on Beltline road near I-20 in Grand Prairie, Texas. I had the same unfortunate experience as Kimberly E that had also previously posted a negative review of having their credit card charged multilple times for a single car wash. I don't know about Kimberly E, but I never received a refund after being assured over and over by their customer service rep on the phone that I would. I went so far as to write a letter to their home office in Charlotte, NC and let them know what had happened, and no response from them, either. I was also a Take 5 oil change customer, but I am no longer using that service. How stupid is this company? They refuse to refund my 10.00 as they obviously see it as an investment in making sure I never patronize their businesses again ? Plus, it was a 10.00 investment by them in some negative advertising. Take 5 Car Wash is owned by Driven Brands, by the way. They own many other car service companies, including Maaco Car Painting, and Meineke Mufflers. So, it's likely that if you get in an overcharge dispute with any of these other companies that they will be unresponsive as they were with me. The Bridge City, Texas Take 5 Car Wash is a joke! I have been through that one numerous times and have had several issues. I paid for the option that gives you everything and they seem to not want to polish the tires, even though you pay for it. I talked with the manager and he gave me some lame excuse and I asked him if he was going to credit my account since they continuously shorted me on the service. I tried it one more time last Friday (06/23/2023) and when I exited the car wash and began wiping the vehicle down, I noticed grease down the passenger side of my truck as well as on the tailgate. I walked in to inform the person in charge (same blooming idiot as before) that they need to check their pads because one has grease on it. He shook and lowered his head and didn't even bother to come out and check my vehicle or the washing pads. This is the worse managed store they have in this area. I have been to the one in Orange, Vidor, and Nederland (best one of all) and have not gotten these types of issues. read more

This car wash has free vacuuming. So if u just want to clean out your car without purchasing a car wash you can do that. They have very basic car washes ranging from $3-$8 with options to add on additional services. I think if u just want a light wash then this car wash is perfect for that. However I would not spend the extra money on upgrades because you don't really see the difference. The $3 wash is just as good but remember it is very basic. If your car is extremely dirty then go somewhere else. There are guys there that push in your rear view mirrors and scrub the back of car. read more

I love this car wash a lot. My Mom introduced me to this place and I am so glad she did. It is actually called $3 Express Car Wash. I frequent this place so much now because for $3 it gets the job done and if you want some tire action it is only an additional $2 (not tire wax tho). I think the most expensive car wash is $10 which isn't bad so you can cash out on a supreme car wash and still save money compared to other more expensive car washes. Currently, they are running their holiday promo if you buy a $25 gift card you will receive $50 worth of car washes. NICE! For the most part all the vacuums have strong suction (there has only been one lane that I have found where the vacuum didn't have strong suction) and there is one in every lane so you can use one for the driver's side of your car and go to the other side and use the second for the passenger's side of your car. They have plenty of trash cans which are never overflowing, guess they change them frequently. read more

So I tried to check in to this $4 carwash but it's not listed on yelp, then I searched current location and $3 Carwash came up, well this carwash increased it to $4 so make sense lol. I've come to this place plenty of times and it's service is ok, if you get the basic deal which includes the wash and free vacuum it hardly gets the dirt off you have to be prepared to have a rag and wipe it off... so upgraded to the next service $5 you can hardly see the difference either.. but today I upgraded to the $8 it includes in addition to the basic service also a turtle seal wax , well have to say there was still areas not completely dry and still had to wipe some areas but not as much as the previous upgrades!.. Most vacuums are broken or don't suction! I continue to come to this place because it's very convenient and close to my house just hoping that their service becomes better, hopefully with the $1 increase they can repair at least the vacuums lol! read more

The $4 wash is very light kind of like a rinse and a little soap, I recommend upgrading maybe one up if your car is really dirty. If not, you car will still look a little dusty. So I walked up to the guys who tape down your wipers and they start laugh Bc they know what I'm about to say. The place is fine for a $4 quick wash but the higher end $8 and $10 don't aren't really worth it. You'll still find dirty spots & the shine from the "wax" just isn't that good. Stay far away from this place!! Very disappointed in the way the manager handled an incident. Had my son take our garage kept 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT to the car wash, the car has 40k miles & in new condition. Something inside the wash put a large scratch on the drivers side of the car and broke off the rear view mirror. Once my son noticed what happened he came around and told the manager who then said he had to look at the video. Came back and acknowledged the damage but said they are not responsible because the car is (7) years old. I then call the manager and asked for his manager or owner, you can tell he is trained not to provide this information and said all he can do is take my number and "see if somebody will call me". I then called the Cedar Hill location and spoke with there manager who was much more professional and stated the rule is at the managers discretion for damages. I can understand if the car going in was in bad shape but I would think as a business you have to look at this on a case by case basis. In the end we are not looking for a pay day just want them to acknowledge there wash caused the damage and want fix our vehicle. Next step is reporting them to the BBB, if you care about your car stay away from the place. read more

I paid for the $10 wash and I guess it was a waste of money. My car was not clean or dry at all. Rims were still extremely nasty. They do provide free vacuums. I came to this car wash because the one near my house in Duncanville is always packed, now I know why ,they actually get your car clean when you go through the wash. I paid for the $10 wash here and when I came out my car was not even clean or dry. I also don't understand why they were scrubbing everyone's rims down except mine. Is there an extra fee in addition to the $10 wash for that? I drive an Acura, it's not like I have an old trashy car where they were like ahhh whatever.... My car needed a decent wash, and it was only $4, the staff was friendly and informed me of all the sales they had, after the wash I vacuumed my car, and their vacuums are really good, cleaned everything up! On December 7th I went to the car wash, the kid that washes the back of cars before they go in, didn't even half way wash the back of my 4Runner saw my Trump 2020 bumper sticker pointed at it said something to the other attendant and stopped washing the back, I know this because I watched him, I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. I tried calling Express Wash back at least 10 times to let them know I was coming back, the line was BUSY every time. When I got there I had to park and walk up to the washers apparently the manger saw this came out and met me other the other said entered the code for me to get a free wash, and apologized, he was very nice, but the kids needs to find another job. Everyone has the right to vote for who they want, they do not have the right to do a poor job and show hate. I told the kid I knew why he didn't wash the back, he said "Huh" and got sprayed in the face with water by the other attendant I'm sure it was an accident but I thought it was funny! To say that I wasted 30 minutes and $8 is an understatement. My car wash experience today was down right ridiculous. Let's go with the play by play here. First, it's no longer a $3 basic wash (I wasn't planning on basic anyways but it led to a pretty nice eyeroll on my part). Next, two long lines (not holding that against them - it was nice out). Finally get to the gate and the kiosk has a small sign saying cash only, no card. Well, that put a kink in my plans. My intention was a $10 wash and I'd pay by card. I ended up settling on an $8 wash because that was all I had cash wise. Annoyed but whatever - a sign earlier up would have been nice. Next they scrub the back of my car but barely. The "soap" solution had mud in it... so that was kind of a joke. Next, I get onto the belt, put my car in neutral, take my foot off the brake, and roll through the wash per instructions. Half way through my car hits the in front of me and the car behind me hits me. How this is possible in an automated car wash I can't even comprehend. Fortunately, no damage when I get out but still - that NEVER should have been able to have happened. I go vacuum my car and there is next to no suction in my vacuum. I got the worst of the worst off my floor and just left. I get home and look at my car in detail and the wheels look terrible still (I paid for wheel wash and they were not that bad going in), the mud spotting on the back was still pretty obvious, and there were still spots of bird poop on my car. This was a waste of $8 and my time. I will never use this car wash again. The whole experience was subpar. read more
