I am updating my review. We had an issue with the oil pan, but Zack sent the information to corporate for resolve. He quickly refunded the oil change while I awaited for email correspondence from the regional manager, Tyler. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner and fixing the situation. Service was quick but my oil was dripping right after. The bolt to my car was over drilled so obviously it wouldn't tighten and thats where my oil leaked. I paid $125 for my derives and ill not go back again . read more

Place is money grabber I waited for about 35 minutes for one care in front of me for them to tell me there out of there normal oil which is fine but why have me wait for them to tell me the best oil up is 89$ plus 10$ for Tax then add extra like the air filter jsut a money grabber Buiness do not go here read more

My recommendation is to go to the two local quick-lube businesses. Take 5 is a corporate business whose strategy is to get you in with seemingly amazing deals and then make their money via aggressive up-sale. One visit was enough for me. I prefer the local businesses that build their shop by giving good service that meets the consumer's actual needs and have done it over a period of many years. read more

Happy this place is in Boone. I had my oil changed here once, but I probably won't be back. It was super convenient and the workers were really responsive and helpful, but I wasn't too thrilled with the close to $100 bill for something that should be half the price. My daughter had her oil changed at the Clemmons NC store earlier today. She drove an hour back to school and when she got there saw the engine shield dragging on the ground. She was in tears as she doesn't know many people in Boone and felt stranded. I called the clemmons Take 5 and explained the situation and although they made a serious mistake, the young man that answered the phone heard the desperation in my voice and knew I was terribly worried for my child. He reached out to the Boone store and a young man, Tristan answered. He said he would ask his manager if it would be ok for him to go help her after he closed the shop. I reached out to Tristan a few minutes later and he told me his manager said it would be OK to go help. Tristan and Gavin showed up as promised and helped my daughter! They even went further above and beyond and made sure she got to the parking lot and back to her dorm safely! I cannot thank these two young men enough! Any business would be fortunate to have them and I am super impressed that a store in Boone would rescue my daughter from a situation that another Take Five was responsible for! I am sleeping soundly tonight knowing that there are still outstanding people in this world and my daughter is safe. Thank you Take Five Boone! read more

I only chose to come here because they were the only ones open on a Saturday (Boone, NC 28607 Location). Because I had never been here before, I did not know what to expect. I did not realize this was a drive thru (should have done my research i suppose), however, this did not excuse the employee (ear length curly hair and a nose piercing) for yelling "What do you want?" at me. I do not appreciate being spoken to that way. It was disgusting and rude. When I pulled in, the other man working with him was very polite and informative about what they were doing, explained all of my options, etc. He even put air in my tires and replaced the coolant because he saw the need. I was very appreciative that he took the initiative to run these things past me instead of providing bare minimum service like my previous mechanic has started doing. I did feel that the price for my services were really high, but I guess that was to be expected with this being a chain service. Not my first choice, but it's nice to have an option to fall back on if I need service over the weekend when everyone else is closed. read more

I went in for an oil change on my Tahoe. Andrew,Zac and the woman who I did not catch her name had me in and out very fast. Offered me water and they even introduced themselves and shook my hand. I asked Zac some questions about my vehicle that I was curious about while he was servicing it and he gave me expert advice about every one. I went to Take 5 on Sunday to get my oil changed in preparation to drive down the mountain about three hours. I got there, waited 20 minutes before anyone even looked at my car, just for them to tell me they "did not have the tools" to remove my skid plate because it was in some way messed up. A car shop, not having the tools. They told me if I came back Wednesday they'd have the tools, so I went Wednesday, waited in line for another 15 minutes, then decided to continue about my day and give them a call to ensure they had the tools before I waited in line for no reason again. I called, the person who answered the phone then told me they did not have the tools because they "left them at home." What? Okay whatever, I'll just drive down the mountain and back up three hours each way and hope for the best. I then realized while I was driving, my car was making a really odd sound. I get home and take a look under my car just to realize my skid plate was completely demolished and appeared as if someone had tried to rip it off. I don't drive my car too much, so this was very unlikely to be the result of anything I could have done while driving on the very normal Boone roads. I am now fairly certain that while they tried to remove my skid plate, they messed it up more and did not tell me. So I had to drive for hours with my skid plate dragging on the highway because I did not have a place to go or the time to find a place on the fly like that. I called twice today to notify them of all of this, did not answer either time AND their voicemail isn't set up. Will never come back here again and will make sure nobody I know does either. Worst 10 minute oil change place I've ever experienced. read more

First visit: tried the new location on Blowing Rock Road for the first time and I was impressed with their friendliness and customer service. In and out and only a few minutes even with a couple of cars in line in front of me and I did not have to get out of the car. Downside, this all came at a premium price. They were a little bit pushy with changing out air filters and accessories, but I guess that's how they upsell. I went ahead and followed all their recommendations and let them change everything but I would not do that again because they definitely overcharged on the filters compared to what I could do myself at the auto parts store in 30 seconds and the oil change is at a premium price as well. Ended up spending over $120 for an oil change and air filter. The same service at my last place was half that price but I did not get the convenience of speed and staying in the car. Today I've visited again because I was in a hurry and needed to be able to continue working on my phone while they did their thing. Unfortunately this was not the same experience. There was one car in front of me and after 45 minutes I gave up and left. The marquee says "we are the Ricky Bobby of oil change". As I remember it he said "if you ain't first, you're last". Today, you definitely were not first because I had to leave and go somewhere else after a long wait and no service. On some days I'll pay the premium price for faster service but I can usually get in and at my old place in less than half an hour with the minor inconvenience of having to wait in the lobby. But if the service isn't faster there's no reason to wait in line to pay a higher price. read more
