I'll start with the positive. Super friendly employees!! Took my Cadillac for an oil change. Started noticing oil leaking on my garage floor. Thought my brand new car had an oil leak. Brought it to Cadillac. They checked it and said there was oil all over the place but no actual oil leak meaning whoever poured the oil did such a sloppy job it was everywhere and managed to leak so much we thought there was an actual leak. Fast forward a month or so and my husband has some component hanging underneath his ford truck. 16 year old son took car there and they charged him $175 for an oil change because they told him car needed a new cabin air filter when I changed it myself within the last year. Also, they didn't give him my military discount that they could see in the system! When I went to complain, manager offered me my military discount (that I would get anyways) next time I come in. Update .... I have never had an issue with my car before going to take 5 oil , I go get a oil change 5 mins later I'm driving home and my car won't accelerate and the traction light comes on. I drive back to Take 5 oil located in fort mill ( Brand New place ) and I tell the manager who was very helpful and understanding but could not give me a direct answer as to why my car was acting this way. I have my personal mechanic put in a new crankshaft position sensor but in the process tells me how terrible a job these ppl did on my oil change but he replaces my crankshaft position and still my electric light and now check engine light is on. Now I was advised by my personal mechanic to take my car to the Kia dealership and I will be sending that bill to Take 5 Oil they messed up my car I left the place happy and even left a good review at first , but my car hasn't been working since I left TAKE 5 OIL IN FORT MILL , SC !!! read more

Tried to go to Firestone for an oil change - they couldn't even get the filter I needed for my vehicle- Decided to try Take 5 - they didn't have my filter either since it apparently was an unusual type, but they made every effort to track it down and have it delivered and hour later- Nick helped oversee the process, he was super polite and kept me informed all along the way- and the manager even stopped over to apologize for the filter but honest I was just super happy they even went as far out of the way that they did to make sure my oil got changed- Oil change was done quickly and price was perfect! I typically take all of my vehicles here and am satisfied with their service. This week, because of my travel schedule for work, I called and spoke to Ethan and said my daughter would be bringing her car in and to give her the basic blend oil change. I called because she is 21 years old and doesn't understand maintenance. Well, they upsold her to a premium oil change that was $74.99 even though I literally gave them a heads up. So yes they got one over on us, but I will never come back. Great job of taking care of a customer that brings 4 vehicles every 6 months to you. read more

Very good experience. Trenton was especially informative and helpful. Everyone was working fast and efficiently. I was also told ahead of time that if oil is about 5 qt there is an extra fee- so no surprise at check out time. The different oil types were explained and I was able to give input on type based on my driving type. My windshield was cleaned, air filters checked. I was also offered sanitizer after using the pen to sign. I also loved not having to exit a vehicle with two kids! read more

It was a drizzly 40 degree morning but I was 6,000 miles past due for an oil change. I had my 3 year old with me and when I discovered could get my oil changed WITHOUT actually having to exit my vehicle, I was sold. When I pulled up there was only 1 other car being serviced. The attendant Quay was quick and kind with his greeting and I was directed into a stall within a few minutes. Aaron proceeded to get my info and perform the oil change, he even offered me bottled water. They never went into sales mode to try and up sell, just pointed out that my air filter was a hot mess (not surprising) and offered to replace it. Since they were newly opened there was a $10 off promotion so I paid only $34. Take 5 Oil Change has made me a loyal customer. I shall never get out of my vehicle for an oil change again! read more

I've worked for this company in years past while in high school/college and am aware of practices of the company. While sitting for service this evening, practices were not followed from the greet (open hood inspect which side to pull car to) not that this matters but continues to sit in line for over 30 mins with 3 cars in the bay, one got completed pulled a car in (after) me and continued to work on a car that was there after the car in front of me. This experience has been the worst I've experienced and this is after my last experience which I waited out for and actually got service. This service after sitting there and watching I didn't trust to get my oil changed personally. The service prior was just as bad (time wise) and the tech left oil all over my car door and front end. This service has dropped its total business model of convenience, plan on a hour oil change. read more

I usually dread doing anything with my car because it takes forever and these people ask me so many questions I don't know answers to. Not here!!! I drove up and was helped immediately. He scanned my VIN and told me exactly what oil I would need and even said I didn't need the most expensive since I don't try a ton. The men here were super communicative, and he told me everything they were doing and told me the price to make sure it was OK. They were so quick and efficient. They were talking to each other as they were doing it you could tell they take pride in what they do and were doing it correctly!! Take5 in fortmill is one of the worst places to get your oil change.My wife took her BMW X1 to get a oil change.They used the wrong wrench and stripped the drain plug and caused her to buy a new oil pan and seal it leaked all over my driveway several times and they said someone would clean my driveway and would give degreaser to clean my driveway.The manager would never contact me after numerous attempts.I end up spending $1000 dollars to replace a new oil pan and seal and drain plug.Still trying to take to the manager and he still want return my call.Very bad Business!!! read more

I have been there twice now, and I absolutely love this place. They are very attentive and explain everything to you. The shop manager (Mike Myers) was very helpful, and he even gave me a $7 off on my service. For years I had used the Tega Cay Oil and Lube, but they failed to even check my transmission fluid (apparently for a very long time) and it ran completely dry. The service technician told me that that was not part of their service (although it clearly states so on their checklist). At Take 5, not only did they check all of my fluids but showed me the levels. The price was a lot less than I paid Tega Cay Oil and Lube and the service was awesome! read more

I've been here a few times, usually it's a great experience and very quick. I realize the day I went was before a holiday and I expected a delay when there was already a car in front of me and the other bays we're full. After an hour of watching these guys chat with the customers, each other, taking their sweet time to get from one procedure to another it was my turn and although I finally got my oil changed, they were supposed to change my wipers, but the guy forgot and even I left I saw them on my windshield, just sitting there in the box!! When I returned, I had called and told them I was coming back and why, but I waited ANOTHER 10-15 minutes to put my wipers on which they didn't start until I got out of my truck and started changing them myself!! I had my oil changed here rather than the dealer because I was in a hurry and the dealer was busy for a couple weeks out. They didn't fill the tires as recommended on the door sticker which wasn't a big deal but should of been a red flag. The BIG deal was that they didn't tighten the oil pan plug after they drained it. A couple weeks later the oil light came on and the warning message to pull over popped up I was pulling into my driveway. I had only driven about 150 miles total in those 2 weeks. I noticed a huge spot of oil under wear the van had been parked. There was literally NO oil on the dipstick. I called them and the manager didn't call back for 2 days. When they did call they wanted me to drive it to them to take a look. Yeah no. I had it towed to the dealer to get it corrected by professionals. It cost me a bunch of $$ at the dealer and to get 7 quarts of oil off of my driveway. Expensive lesson learned. I won't be back. read more
