Brought one back in to get the leak looked at, and they told me my gaskets were leaking and they'll call me for a quote to replace it. I came here earlier this year when I needed my oil changed and my normal spot was still closed due to COVID. I called another place that was booked and then found this place on Yelp. I just drove up and unfortunately there was a line to wait; however, it went very quickly, and I was quickly processed when it was my turn. This shop just tried to take advantage of my brother who was visiting from out of town. He had a loose hose clamp on his radiator hose and they quoted $1000 to get it fixed without even looking at the vehicle. They said he absolutely should not drive the vehicle and were trying to replace his entire radiator which is brand new. Check engine light came on in May. Took the the car to a local repair shop and they couldn't resolve the issue. Jeff at EOC in Fort Mill worked with me diligently until the issue was resolved and the car passed inspection in NC. Very friendly group of guys at Gold Hill location. They all went above and beyond to repair my car, including problems caused by the dealership. The dealership did not properly lock down a motor mount after they replaced my transmission. This place is completely horrible! I wouldn't even give them a star but I had to..to post a review!! My son took in his car for an oil change. They drained the oil out and then realized they couldn't take the filter off. So they proceeded to tell my son he would have to pay $60 to put oil back in his car. When my son called me to tell me what was going on. I immediately asked for the manager. The not so smart man tells me that he has to pay for the replaced oil. I asked him what good is the new oil on top of a dirty filter? Why didn't you check the filter first? He says..that's policy. So of course I jumped in my car and went up there..not in the best shape due to an injury. I pull up and a lil short man proceeded to walk over to me. I begin to yell that there is no way in hell he is going to pay $60 for OIL when we go to 5 minute oil change we only pay $45 for the whole service! (S/N: I have been telling my son he needs to be more adult and do things on his own..this one bit me in the tail! He went to 5 min oil change and they did not have the filter..so he made an adult decision and went to these bums ) The man then says hey he can go. We replaced the oil..he can drive off. So I yelled to my son to pull off. Once my son pulled off I then told him to meet me around the back of O'Reilly which is right next to the shop. I didn't feel right. I wanted to check the levels myself. Welp..the oil reading wasn't even at minimum. So I proceeded to walk into O'Reilly with my son..yelling at him for diverting from the people who normally services the car. As I pick up a 5 qt jug of oil and take it to the register..the man at register chuckles and was like people come in all the time complaining about that place. I advised them we never used this place before and will not ever again. As we left out the store a clerk came out and asked if he could help us. I was like sure. He then checked the oil and was like ohh..you definitely need to add some oil bc its not even hitting minimum. The dip stick was barely even coated. I then got even more upset bc lil to no oil could seize the engine. He added the oil and then showed me the levels. I jumped into my car and called corporate of Express Oil Change. Of course they had just closed..and we had to wait the weekend. My son goes to leave out Saturday morning and there is a wet oil spot from under his car. What the heck?? So now not knowing what in the world is going on..I had to call a mobile mechanic to come out and check the car. I was afraid that if he drove it..it could lead to more problems. Mobile mechanic can't get to us till Monday. Monday morning comes around and Louis from Express Oil Change calls me. He proceeds to ask me what happened. I explained to him the ordeal and he goes ma'am if there was no oil in the car your son wouldn't of been able to drive it. I then ask him is it normal to drain all the oil out prior to checking the oil filter first?? Is it normal to charge for putting oil back in a car that you took out without doing a complete service pr onto a dirty filter? I then advised him I would be more than happy to get a statement from the clerk at O'Reilly that helped us. I then tell him his car is leaking. He then says you can bring the car back to us and we will see whats wrong. Umm no sir it is going to a shop. Who is going to being their car back when trust has been broken? The mobile mechanic comes out and fixed the car. The oil filter was cracked due to someone over tightening it..which lead to the oil leak. The fact that corporate felt that my complaint wasn't important and sent sarcastic Louis from the shop to call me says alot!! I would never use that place nor recommend it as well!! STAY AWAY.. As always, fantastic and fast service. I've had service at 2 of their locations. Like the S. Tryon location, the Ft. Mill service center is extremely clean and professional. They maintain a record of all my services and have an app that let's me add services I have had outside of their system. Definitely an added bonus. I mostly have the standard maintenance, but everybody is friendly about answering my questions and making very realistic predictions of what may or may not need checking. I was having brake and Rotor issues, so I called them for a quote. Jim, the Manager, was kind enough to give me a quote and also gave me the worst case scenario (from a price perspective). Majority of the places I had called wouldn't provide price on rotors (won't even give a range). Jim's crew checked out my car and it turned out that my rotors were fine and only needed rear brake service. I guess Firestone in Blakeney wanted to make a quick $800 on brakes and rotors. Jim's crew did a great job on the brakes and on top of it, he can gave me 10% discount. I also had this humming noise coming out of the car, which they took care of as well. Super honest guys. Be careful when getting your car serviced here as they might overcharge you 3X the actual cost for the repair! Cliff Note version. Charged my mother-in-law $1370.12 for repairs but after she questioned it they reduced it to $460 but only after she questioned it with the manager. Originally I was going to leave a 1-star review because of the way they ripped my mother-in-law off on getting her car serviced but they corrected her grossly overcharged bill. Since they corrected this and did the right thing, I will make it 2-stars but I feel anyone who reads reviews should know what to expect from this place. To start she had a low coolant light show up on her dash. She immediately goes to this place because it is where she gets her oil changed and tires for her car. They tell her it needs a coolant flush with a charge of $109.99. No big deal as this would probably fix the issue but this is where my questioning of their work ethics start. After doing the coolant flush, they tell her the Volvo V60 is needing a thermostat replacement because it is not coming up to temperature after the coolant flush. She asks how much this is going to cost. The gentleman she spoke with tells her probably about $1400. She agrees to get them to do the work based her belief they are honest, her car needs this repair and they will treat her right. She comes to pick up the car and is told they saved her some money off the original estimate with a total of $1370.12 including taxes. They charged her $471.90 for a replacement thermostat has a MSRP at the Volvo dealer for 109.00. Then she was charged 6.5 hours of labor @ $115/hr for a job that has a book rate of 3 hours to complete. If you google 2015 Volvo V60 thermostat replacement the national average is $375 on two different sites. I helped her check at a couple of different Volvo/European repair shops and they confirm this should be the price. She then contacted the manager of the store and told him about her experience. He calls her back after a day and says she was definitely overcharged but he needs to speak with his district manager. The price of the thermostat replacement was changed from $1370.12 back to an agreeable $460. read more

I've stopped here several times for just an oil change which is always fairly quick because you are sitting in the vehicle watching it happen. Today I showed up for an oil change and tire rotation. I came back after 90 minutes to find 0 cars being worked on and the guy who was working on my vehicle (Noah) chatting with some guy on the side. After being asked by another worker there if I got my vehicle back yet, I replied "no" and then they jumped on to Noah to finish my tire rotation. Seemed pretty unprofessional considering the lack of work that needed to be done while I was there. read more

I went here this afternoon and they were busy. I asked for new tires and an oil change. The mgr showed me different kinds of tires and even offered to get a lesser tire, if I wanted to save a few bucks. Said they could get them in an hour, delivered to the store. They didn't try to upsell. They checked my brakes, transmission fluid, filters etc. He said the trans fluid was low and suggested new air and cabin filters, showed me how bad there were, but said we could do it at a later time. The experience was seamless, they discounted what they could. My car has not driven this good in 2 years! Highly recommend. Friendly, professional and honest! read more

I wrote a good review for this business when I had work done and now I know I want to retract that review. Several months ago I had break service done at the Fort Mill, SC location. I supplied the parts and the manager said they would install them. The parts were installed for the front brakes (rotors, races, bearings, grease) and I was satisfied until they started to make noise. I took the vehicle back to them a couple of months later and they said the bearings were fine and not making noise. They said the problem was my tires were not aligned. The noise has gotten horrible over time but since they said it was not the bearings I kept having the alignment checked. I finally relented on my belief that they were correct that the bearings were fine and had them checked today. Well, lets just say the mechanic that is fixing my wheel bearings differs on the the assessment after finding metal shavings and finding where the inside of the rotors were damaged from where the bearings and races were obviously beaten in instead of being installed with the required press. I will not go back to this business and wish I could get my money back for the labor and new parts that I am buying today. Oh, by the way, the alignment was fine. Bearings the whole time. In an update: Stay away from these guys. The $152.00 front brake job I had done turned into a $225.09 repair bill to have the wheel bearings and wheel seals replaced after having been put in wrong. Not only that but they damaged the inside of the rotors during the task of putting the wheel bearings in the rotors. What makes this even worse is the rotors were new as were the bearings and seals. They did not have to take any parts out, just put the new ones together and install them on the car. The final slap was the fact I took it back to them and they said nothing was the matter with the brakes. They said it was the tires. Again, stay away from them, stay very far away from them. read more
