Went in for am oil change. The store manager was amazing. They helped me to better understand many…read morethings without pressuring me to make me feel I HAD to spend money. Also, checked lights, liquids, etc. Prices were comparable to anywhere else I've been, and they explain the difference in the types of oil. Overall knowledgeable and helpful. Very much appreciated Highly recommend.

Do not go here. Went here the other day since I was just about due for my scheduled oil change and…read morefigured I'd have someone do it for me instead of myself. Waiting a while isn't surprising but I was immediately taken aback by how I was spoken to regarding my question. I was asked if I wanted two options that I honestly didn't understand given my vehicle requires synthetic oil regardless, it's 0-W20. I asked someone there if all they could do was replace my oil and leave the filters and additional fluids I was told "That's not what I asked you." Well guess what ***hole, I did, I didn't need their filters to replace my current one that was more than fine for another two oil changes. While they did the job and my car is completely fine, I felt disrespected with my request as a $100 oil change that they claim is good for "3000 miles" is highway robbery. No modern car needs new oil that frequently - they continued to pester me about services that I didn't need done again, I already had a mechanic specialized in my car maker do all I needed. I get it was a holiday weekend, but all I wanted was an oil CHANGE, not an excuse to double the bill for a handful of lousy services anyone with a brain can handle on their own, and the lousy attitude reinforces that I will not come back to their franchise. Uncle Ed's is just as capable and has less "show" to the same shenanigans.

So I take off in my 1998 Ford Ranger the other day and turned on the 4 wheel drive and instead of…read morecoming on the indicator light just blinked. I didn't want to work on it in the cold so I call Maplewood. They say fine bring it in. I go a little further and see my turn signals are out, 4 way works but no blinkers. I call Maplewood back and add in the turn signals don't work either. I get home and think maybe I turn the truck back on and it will just work this time. Turn the key and the dash goes black it reset the clock and radio stations. I call Maplewood back and happily add in that trying to start it shorted out the ignition switch indicating according to Google that the problem with my truck systems is failed power distribution per the ignition switch. When I dropped it off I told them if the ignition cylinder was bad too please don't upgrade it to a chip key hopefully it's just the switch (yes I told them that). They parked it for me in the place they put vehicles that may not start because of the failing ignition switch. So the Next day Jeff over there calls me and says they have been tearing into the 4 wheel drive and it's $650 to fix it and $375 for a new turn signal lever. I ask him why didn't they start by changing the ignition switch as it's very likely to be the cause of all 3 problems since they happened all at once. Jeff said they were unable to duplicate the ignition problem but did have solutions for the other 2 problems but the 4 wheel drive may not work because it has a GEM in it that can't be replaced if it is bad. I asked Jeff if they saw the clock wrong and radio presets gone asking him wouldn't I have to unhook the battery cable for it to be like that. So Jeff says "I don't know that you didn't", and I have no idea what he meant by saying that. I told him I just want an ignition switch no work on the 4 wheel drive and no work on the turn signals, please just change out the ignition switch. Jeff put me on hold for several minutes then told me come get my truck Maplewood wasn't interested in fixing it for me. I went and got my truck, stopped at AutoZone on the way home and got an ignition switch for $25, watched a YouTube video and put the ignition switch into the truck. Then I put back the fuse, wire nutted the leads Maplewood left hanging from the transfer case back together and the ignition, turn signals, and 4 wheel drive all function perfectly. I saved over $1000 by getting kicked out of Maplewood with my truck. Response from the owner: Thank you for your review Reginald. I appreciate your feedback. We chose to no longer provide service for you due to you yelling at Jeff. As we try to provide quality and honest service we quickly discovered that you did not want to hear us out. Once we discovered that we are unable to earn your trust it became beneficial for both parties to step away. I hope you are able to find a repair facility that can better serve your needs and earn your trust. And now the owner of Maplewood Auto has added his peace. Because I'm an Army combat sergeant having been deployed to Afghanistan I am both used to accountability and being sensitive to the way I'm responding to stressful situations. Jeff called me and I tried talking him into leaving my transfer case and turn signals alone and just fix the ignition for more than 5 minutes and hung up with Jeff spending over $1000 on repairs my truck didn't need. So I called out to God in prayer asking for help because I don't have $1000 to spend on repairs my truck doesn't need and I did want the ignition switch that the truck did need. I thought God wanted me to call Jeff back and work on convincing him to make the correct repair again. I didn't mean to raise my voice I was very frustrated with Jeff refusing to help me. Now I do feel justified in saying that if Maplewood is going to let Jeff Overcharge combat veterans by $1000 a pop he my need a little thicker skin, some sergeants may have even started swearing at him over that kind of money. I feel overall blessed by God that I was able to fix it myself for $25 and was delivered from having to spend over $1000 on unnecessary repairs. Justify your employees actions ever how you like, but making them accountable for losing customers through conduct that appears either criminal or incompetent would be much more beneficial to your business serving the community. Pray for me so I can know better what to do next time I feel trapped in by someone selling me something I know I don't need.
