I then took my vehicle to Precision Tune Auto Care for a diagnosis, but instead of addressing the EVAP issue, they told me I needed new spark plugs. I agreed to the work, but before I even left their shop, the check engine light came back on. When I returned immediately, they scanned the car again and admitted the code was still for the EVAP system, not spark plugs. The manager "giggled" the gas cap, cleared the code, and sent me on my way. The next morning, the check engine light was back on. I then went to a different shop (Riddle), where they were honest and transparent. They confirmed that the issue was in fact the EVAP system, and even informed me that VW may cover the repair at no cost. When I went back to Precision Tune, they handed me the spark plugs they supposedly replaced, but could not provide any proof from their scanner that my car ever showed a spark plug-related code. This experience left me feeling that this business is not trustworthy. They charged me for unnecessary repairs and failed to fix the actual problem. Please beware when considering this location for your automotive needs.

After we picked up car and started driving down road, the battery light came on (because our alternator needed to be replaced). Pulled over and when I looked under hood I find out they didn't even replace the battery I paid them for. When I called them to explain what happened, they got very rude and told me that it just happens and that it's not a big deal. We had someone else run a test and confirmed that the alternator was failing and needed to be replaced. Never going back here again. They charge for work that they didn't do and they don't even attempt to make things right.

I would rate the mechanic work a solid 4, and the customer service also a solid 4 (assuming they are not in cahoots with the location owner vis-a-vis usurious fees tacked onto your service). I had an oil change on the same vehicle today (8/20/25) on which I had an oil changed performed on 5/15/25. I brought my receipt from the 5/15 service to ask- it seemed a little high. When I questioned the $4.50 "Shop Supply Fee," I was told it was to dispose of oil. This seems odd, and a bit high, considering many local car shops will take your used oil for free, and that used oil is typically worth between $1.50-6.00 per gallon. The "Shop Supply Fee" on 8/20/25 had increased to $10.24. That is a 125 percent increase in a dubious (aka "bs") charge over a period of three months. The fees charged for "State" and "County" are also different, and I'm not sure how they change an annual tax rate between May and August. In other words, this location will add and change prices at their whim. The prices advertised are lower than the prices they charge. It's called "fraudulent inducement" and "detrimental reliance" under the law, but I don't have the time or desire to pursue it legally, so I figured I would warn everyone about these tactics before they go so they can make an informed decision regarding their car maintenance providers.
