I bought my tires from Firestone and when I had a slow leak in one, I brought it back for repair. I also needed to have the blower fan looked at because it had stopped working. A few hours later, both the tire and the blower fan were repaired with no problem. The service techs were very pleasant to deal with, too. I'm quite happy with the service I received. read more

I used to be a frequent customer. But now I have not been in a few years. I've had some good experiences and some not so good experiences. The one that caused me to leave was when I went in to get an oil change and was told I was next in line and because my dad was visiting he followed me just in case I want to leave and get breakfast. Well that's what we did and I was gone for three hours doing some other things as well. Returned to the dealership and my vehicle had not been touched. I left and got the oil changed somewhere else. Steven who is a great manager by the way IF he is still there called me trying to rectify the situation asking me to bring back to be done right away. Of course not. It was already done elsewhere. But I do love that they have the unlimited tire rotation and alignment plans and the 6 months interest free if paid off in 6 months. read more

I made an appointment for an oil change and got the confirmation email only for me to drive there and be told that they did not confirm it. They even had the audacity to ask if my area code was 147... knowing darn well the area code we all know is 478 and sometimes a 1 mistakingly placed in front by auto fill. Said my wipers needed replacement: I just replaced them last month at Advance. Purchased 4 new tires, said I would have to buy insurance at $200 for them to be covered. I said no. Replacement of 1 at $130 would be the better deal. Then at the end, they said I would need an alignment for the warranty to cover the tires....I didn't remind him that I didn't get the insurance. Said I needed a new belt and battery.....I don't bite to scare tactics. read more

If you're looking for honest mechanics, this is your one stop shop. I went in because my AC went out, I was advised it was my compressor. Took it in the next day, they had a double look and turns out it wasn't my problem. Any other shop would've switched it out without making sure of the issue and had you spend more than planned. Although I had to take it somewhere else to fix my extensive AC issue, I did comeback to get a camshift timing replacement and oil change. I trust Firestone Complete Auto Care. Even though I live in GA, I usually visit the NC location where most of my family lives. Today I went to the nearest one here in GA. I took my 8 cylinder car in for an oil change and other small services. I was told that in addition to the basic services I requested, that I would need spark plugs. I gave it the okay. When I got home I looked at the bill closely. They charged $25 dollars per copper spark plug (that's 25 x 8 for an 8-cylinder engine). I called about it. They said that I'd pay more at the dealer, and that it was the going rate. Looked online. The same Bosch copper plugs cost a max of 10 dollars a piece online and at the local parts stores. Just for the plug change (no wires included), I paid $289 parts and labor. That's quite a markup and quite an exorbitant rate for a plug change. These guys were courteous and professional in person. However, I've paid less for the same services (brakes, etc.) at my usual Firestone in NC. I'd say be informed about going rates before you go here (I compared rates using these guys before), and look at the cost estimate CLOSELY before you give it the okay. Update (7/22/2015): Manager called and offered an apology. The plugs were double-platinum, but they marked them as copper (@ @25 each) on the receipt. We went back and forth about a possible resolution, and we finally agreed on an $80 dollar refund. Good guys. read more

They take it back fairly quick, since my appointment was at 10:30 and we were a little early. The guy keeps saying well because ur truck is old and has high miles the air is not going to cool I say excuse me he still insists that because it's a old truck with high miles the air will not cool. I'm thinking yes sure whatever. They take it in the back or on the side to do the test and they come back saying it's nothing wrong that's as cool as it will get but he did say I needed a battery I told him I don't want a battery I came in here about my air I asked what is cool about it he states we don't see anything wrong with it. I asked how can I get the air back to cold it's cool. He said I can't until it breaks completely to see what's wrong. I called 2 hrs later and they had not started on it. The guy working the desk had a bad attitude when i arrived and when I picked up my car. I will never go back. On a vacation and our rental car needed 1 new tire changed on it. Took them an hour to change one tire. Went outside to see what they were doing and our car was one of 2 in the garage, they had 3 or guys in there. 1 guy was working on our tire, 1 was just sitting in a chair falling asleep, the other was just sitting around not doing anything. Wish I could give six stars for this business. Special thanks to Kevan, Joe and Shae who all stayed late to fix my daughter's car. She was traveling on I16, evacuating because of the hurricane, when her car broke down just outside of Macon. The car was towed to this location 30 minutes before closing time. The kind service techs started working on her car after their posted closing time, just to help get her back on the road. I don't have enough kind words to describe the wonderful service my daughter received. They stayed open until her car problem was fixed and she was back on the road. My daughter and I were traveling back to North Carolina and my window was off track and wouldn't roll up. It was on a Sunday and we referred by O'Reilly's to come to Firestone. Well, there was only one mechanic working and one person working the front desk (Shae). They had a long line of customers. First, I want to say that Shae showed extreme patience and courtesy. He had to answer phones, attend to new customers and check out customers. Because they only had one mechanic he tried to find someone in the area that could help because I had to get back on the road (7 hour drive). He was unable to find someone available but he gave us a clear bag and tape to put over the window so we wouldn't get rained on. He made sure it was secure. He went out of his way to help us and for that I am grateful. He showed great customer service to every person that walked through that door and never showed any stress whatsoever! Thank you Shae! I have NEVER had such terrible customer experience like I have here. We came in on Sunday at 4:45 (15 minutes before they closed) to drop off our car that we brought by tow truck. We live in Tampa and needed to be on the road as soon as possible. The guy that was working was super nice and told us that he couldn't look at it tonight and would mark it as a priority and have it looked at it first thing in the morning. They opened at 7am. We go a hotel, called at 9am, car still isn't in the bay. Call at 10am, car still isn't in the bay. Call at 12:30, they made it sound like they just got it in the bay and they needed a few more minutes to look at it. We do a late check-out of the hotel (around 1pm) and head over. The car is still sitting in the parking spot and hasn't been moved since it was put there yesterday. They JUST moved the car into bay at 2:30pm. Around 3-3:30pm the lady working at the desk (Victoria) leaves to go buy lunch and cigarettes for everyone. While she's gone, another customer comes in looking for her rental enterprise truck. Victoria comes back. Turns out, the worker, Victoria, had taken the CUSTOMERS RENTAL TRUCK to go get herself lunch. 4pm comes around (after we've been trying to get a word of what been going on) and they don't tell us all of what they want to charge us for, blatantly avoid eye contact so they don't have to speak to us. It took us 24 hours to get it figured out what we needed...all while the workers were bringing in other cars that got there after ours. It has been the worst customer experience I have ever had and because of it, I will never use ANY Firestone ever again. read more
