Came here for our oil change and the last time we came here about a year ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We waited quite a while for hen to get started.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They said that whoever did our oil change last stripped the screw that holds on the skid plate and they couldn't get it off. They told us we had to go to a full service place to get I cut off and then come back and they could do our oil change. We told them we came here last and that they didn't really care. They should have offered to pay to fix the problem they created. Now we have to go somewhere else. We will go somewhere else to get the oil change after we fix the problem they created. I went in for a standard economy oil change yesterday, as I've done several times before. I've always received the 25% military/veteran discount on my oil changes without any issue. However, when I visited the Sooner location today, I requested my usual economy oil change, and the employee at the counter informed me that he could not apply the military discount because I wasn't purchasing full synthetic oil. When I mentioned I had a $20 off coupon from Take 5's email/text promotions, he stepped away to speak with another worker and returned saying he could, in fact, apply the 25% military discount after all. That discount only amounted to about $13 off the economy service. I thought it was a snake move to all of a sudden apply my $13 discount over the $20 I had when they just told me they couldn't do so because of not purchasing higher priced oil. While servicing my car, the worker pulled out my air filter and -- despite it being windy -- brushed it off with his fingers right next to my driver's side window, blowing dust directly into my car and into my face. That was careless and frustrating. What's even more disappointing is that Take 5 prominently advertises with a huge yellow banner a 25% discount for veterans and active-duty military, yet only discloses once you're already in line that it "only applies to full synthetic oil." That feels misleading and dishonest. Now for the crappiest thing that happened. After going there, my car is making a loud rattling noise that it's never made before. I think they really jacked something up and I completely regret going here. DO NOT GO HERE!! Overall, this location took longer than usual, the staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the experience left me frustrated. I do not recommend this Take 5 location. If you want better service and honesty, go to Express Oil Change on 19th St. in Moore -- they're efficient, professional, and provide complimentary checks on lights, blinkers, and other essentials unlike this Take 5 location. read more

Came for the oil change and stuck with a filter cap I can't remove and their only answer is, "If I loosen it for you, when I tighten it so you can drive, it will just be that tight again. Or I can do the service." That and talking down to me like I don't know how to remove a filter cap and change oil. And then telling me it's because their tool is better. Uh, no, that's not how this should work. I've had myself and two other mechanics try to remove that filter cap and it's still on there. Take 5 screwed something up and either can't or won't make it right. I'm not an idiot and I know how to change oil. I have the right tools. Additionally, I made the decision to change the oil myself because even at the lowest price point it was still over a $100 to change the oil. Less than 5 quarts of oil goes in there how is an oil change over $100? The place is a rip off and I feel they sabotaged my vehicle so I have to come to them every 5K miles. Nope, I'm done. I'll find someone with a lift and we'll steam that cap off and do it right. Zero stars if I could. read more

Sooo slow. Been here 3 times in the last week. 1st time their open sign was on at 6 pm (close at 8) we sat here waiting for someone to come and greet us for 10 mins, then had to leave. The next time, we sat behind someone for 20 minutes. The only other car there was the one in front of us, then we ran out of time and had to leave again. This third time, same issues, slow and staff seems like they don't want to be efficient. Gave it this many tries because of convenience, since it is right beside our house. Won't come here again though. The staff probably will like the bad reviews, so fewer people come here- and that will mean less customers for them to help LOL read more

Always quick and easy to stop by here! Staff is very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. It's nice to be able to come by for all sorts of general maintenance. You'll always be offered a water, and they can top off your oil and check your tires between your regular changes. Run by good folks as well! read more

idk why anyone would pay the prices here. $170 for oil that's $35 at autozone. full refill and you spending $20-25 a quart is outrageous. Then to add a service fee on top? come on. That's price gouging and should be illegal. read more

They basically stole high-end oil and filter to substitute their own cheap ones. Filter was not tight leaking oil. Will not be visiting ever again. read more

There was a bit of a wait, but it was Saturday and they did good work. Seeing that, I can see why we had a short wait. All the employees were great. We were offered bottled water while we waited, and they came out periodically to apologize for the wait. I only caught Dustin and Bridgets names, but there were 2 other guys working just as hard too. They were informative. They were thorough. They were all in good moods even though they had 3 lines wrapped to the street the whole time we were there. Thanks guys! read more

takes them 3 months to get back to you AFTER they messed up on a oil change (broke where oil filter goes so my oil leaked out ) & because my car was in the shop 2x because of this & obviously I have to use my car to get back-and-forth from working My mileage went up So they will not take responsibility because my mileage ... that has nothing to do with the what THEY BROKE !! also very hateful when I was nothing but nice & understanding all this happened on march 24th & today (may 20th) calls me & says sorry not Our issue your mileage went up like what yall messed up my oil change ...?? read more

What's the point of a free "top off". Employee was rude and didn't do anything so I asked about topping off my windshield washer fluid and he dismissed me and said they don't do that. Kid was straight up rude and looked like he didn't want to work. read more

I my son goes to college in Norman after dropping him off back at school. I stop by McDonald's a lady in there recommend that I take my vehicle to Take 5 Oil Change. She said,that's where she takes her vehicle to get service. So , I went there to get my vehicle service. I was greeted by Kellie, he explained what all I need to have done to my vehicle.Rae changed my oil and Matt changed my cabin filter. Each of them were very nice and helpful in answering my questions that I had.I will be taking my vehicle back to them in the Future. Excellent job guys!! read more

I cannot in 2022 believe i went to an oil change business and had such a wonderful experience. Alllll of these gentleman were professional. The manager Trey and the other gentleman whose name I didn't get (wish I did) were unbelievably professional. I was like "am i dreaming". Very helpful and attentive and walked me through the whole process. However when I asked my friends if they had been there we all had the same story, "We only have this oil for your car in stock" aka the most expensive option for oil. Flash forward I'm paying $90 for an oil change. I drive an American car, Ford Edge, that takes very typical and normal oil. I won't be back, I feel profiled and taken advantage of as a college girl who doesn't know much about cars. read more

Where do I even start? I got my oil changed today September 25, 2020. I had my four kids with me and decided to use take 5 because convenience is key with kiddos, right? Worst mistake I've made. I got the oil change at 2:00 and had to work at 5:00. I am a delivery driver. While at work I look at my car parked in a customers driveway and see oil ALL OVER. I drove the car to a friends nearby only to discover oil all under my van, all over my engine area, my tires etc. Upon further investigation Take 5 didn't even put the O ring on my new oil filter cap. OR snap the filter into the cap. My oil was drained and gone. I called the shop and they sent someone to the Air Force base where I work to fix the mistake. As I am waiting to get this person a pass to enter the military installation the officer at the base told me that the workman couldn't enter the base. After all this waiting he has a felony. So, my car wasn't fixed. I had to go with MORE OF MY OWN MONEY and get supplies to have a friends husband fix my car. The manager was notified my car was parked and not able to be driven and I was told I'd be called TOMORROW. Okay so I am expected to not have a reliable car for work? For my children? Because you were careless with my oil change. read more
