Directly following the service appointment the car began to blow white smoke out of the tail pipe. At first we thought it was simply oil burning off, but in the following days it only got worse. I had the car towed for an inspection on Thursday of the same week and the mechanic there confirmed that the oil in the car was dirty and very low. He was unable to see any obvious leaks and determined the issue was from oil starvation. The car now needs a complete engine teardown, and possibly a transmission teardown with a quote of $20,000. This issue was nonexistent before the visit to Take 5.

I have a 4 star instead of 5 star was the fact that the $150 dynastic test wasn't waived after using their services. There are a few in town that waive the fee if they find the issue & you use their services.

We stopped in because my wife had a birthday coupon for a free car wash (and hey, you've got to take advantage of those perks!). She decided to upgrade the service to include drying, interior cleaning, and inside window cleaning. Even with the coupon, I ended up paying $17 for the interior--something I don't usually go for, especially since my wife has a pretty sharp eye for details. The team did a good job overall. The exterior looked great, and the process was smooth and efficient. No complaints there. However, the interior service didn't quite hit the mark--specifically the windows. My wife immediately noticed streaking on the inside glass, which was a bit disappointing considering that was part of the paid upgrade. So, was it worth it? That's a toss-up. The convenience was nice, and the staff was friendly, but the finishing touches matter--especially when you're paying extra for them.
