For 2009 Acura tl Ordered Hankook tires and tpms sensor…read morereplacement for all 4 wheels. Spoke to a customer representative to confirm the order. Just before the scheduled appointment, Mavis called and said tire shipping delayed by 1 day. No big deal. Dropped car off next day at noon for service. I was told it would be 60-90 minutes. I did not get car back until 5pm. Took 5 hours. Service person called around 1:30 to tell me that battery in tpms sensor was bad in 3 tires. I told her I know and that's why I scheduled all 4 to be replaced. Got the car back and noticed 3 new rubber valve stems plus 1 metal(original one) that was not replaced. I requested all 4 to be replaced. Now I have 3 sensors/batteries that I know are good for several years and 1 with who knows how long the battery will last. I don't want to have to go back anytime soon to have the 4th sensor replaced. They only charged for the 3 sensors. But there was an additional charge on invoice for 4 rubber valve stems even though the sensors come with valve stems. HUGE MARKUP ON TPMS SENSORS They charged me.$130.00 for each TPMS sensor. The exact sensor i.e AUTEL MX can be bought at many retailers for $30.00 - $40.00 each. I went back to the store and they refunded me the money for the 4 additional rubber valve stems that I did not need or receive. Bad communication. Requested for all tpms sensors to be replaced and ony replaced 4. Bad service estimates . 5 hours instead of 1.5. Huge markup on tpms sensors $130.00 each vs $30.00 each at retail stores. The Hankook tires seem good so far. Mavis Discount Tire 515 US-130, East Windsor, NJ 08520

You don't leave a customer sit there, balance 2 tires and walk away, wait on someone else, go on your phone, have another worker balance one more tire. Jeffrey was at the front desk and decided that since trying to jump to my battery wouldn't work, it "must be the starter." Andrew M was the technician, and when I received his inspection report, none of the codes that showed up indicated anything about a starter issue. Unfortunately, it was not the starter, as my car shut off on me while I was driving just 5 days later. When I finally got the vehicle back to my house, I called Pep Boys and explained the situation. The woman on the phone told me she'd get Jeffrey; after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up and tried again - this time no greeting, they just picked up and put my call on hold again. I tried a 3rd time, and same thing. The next day I was leaving for vacation and had to rent a vehicle, on top of the $600+ I spent with PepBoys for a part I didn't even need, to safely get to my destination. I took my car to my Ford dealership when I returned from vacation, and they discovered the issue was actually a blown #9 fuse and bad purge valve. My car has not broken down since Ford serviced it. For the past month I've called Pep Boys regarding this issue and have been told a manager reviewed my case (#154026) and will call me - I've still have never heard back from anyone. I've also emailed them at least 2 times and those have gone unanswered as well. The same day, there was an older woman who came in just minutes after me with the same issue, her car wouldn't start. Jeffrey said that was a starter issue as well; also before her car was even inspected/put to a code reader. Coincidence, or were starters a sales push during that time? Considering no one has had the decency to return my calls or emails, I suspect either a guilty conscience or willful ignorance. I'm currently filing formal complaints with various entities.
